When I was in Friday they were in the process of switching over to fall attire. Lots of gorgeous blouses and dresses in fall colors, florals and jewel colors with sunglasses, jewelry, booties, hats, scraves and sweaters to accessorize that new outfit. I received a warm greeting as I entered the spacious shop. Since it was my first visit the young lady explained where each size group was located from small to plus sizes, and where to find different accessories. I always enjoy a store that I can go directly to my size and not waste time. Each area was organized well and easy to shop. Love the barn door dressing rooms too. A great spot where you can build a stylist outfit head-to-toe quickly or grab a few items to update an existing piece. I look forward to returning soon to browse the new items.

One lonely cashier had her hands full working the register. So we waited till a couple of ladies were done with their dressing rooms and took over before the door slammed shut. I generally like the merchandise here, but also learned that a lot of the colors here fade extremely in the was (yes, I followed the instructions). Really never put any colors purchased here with anything not of the very same color, unless you're looking to dye a few things. The ladies (now there were 2) were nice enough at the check out. When they asked who helped us, we did let them know that no one could be bothered. We did see a cluster of other employees standing around apparently having a little chat session... it's a rather frustrating scenario.

Yay! This is quite possibly the best in-person customer service experience I have ever had. Granted I shopped during the week and the store wasn't busy, I really appreciated the care and attention I was given during a time that felt very frustrating to me. I find…read morethis Penny's, in Plainfield, has several smaller isles and overstuffed racks in several departments. Several departments have wide isles and well marked sale areas. Of course, during the holidays everything is overcrowded for Christmas shoppers. One other problem is finding a sales associate to help who isn't behind a register regardless of the time of year. Having a sales associate approach you and offer to help seems to be a service of the past. Sad! They currently have some great clearance and sale items in the Women's department. The summer and fall clearance area is huge and it is well organized. The seasonal department was upsetting Saturday. We were looking for several specific items and was fortunate to find things we liked. The sale signs didn't make sense as we read them. The larger sale price sign noted 50% off but the smaller prices to the right noted a $60 item for $19.99 and so on. Obviously not 50% off but that was printed on the individual sale prices. Once at checkout I pointed this out and her response was lots of the sign are misprinted. Just trust the cash register prices. This wasn't what I wanted to hear since it was posted but the long line behind us kept me from discussing further. Be careful if you're going by the sale signs. I do like having a Sephora store inside Penny's. It makes it convenient to have 2 stops in one location. Most departments have a cashier so you can checkout at those areas rather than going to the larger checkout area. This saved us a great deal of time on Saturday.

I've ordered online from this store many times, because I love their bright colors, unique fits (cinched waist dresses), the variety in their clothing in my size, as well as their online sales, but the in store experience wasn't as appealing. Very few sales, and not much variety. I'll continue with my online shopping experience.

The Victoria secret pink side no longer fits me and I was so disappointed that I could not find a bra in my size.. she recommended what size she thought I wore and said because they didn't have my size in the pink store that I could go to the regular Victoria secret side and get a bra that would fit my size and she would honor that for my coupon... I used to buy my clothes almost exclusively from Kohl's several years ago but their stocked shirt…read moreselections stopped appealing to me. Only after the pandemic lockdown have I found that their inventory has changed somewhat regarding shirts. I did manage to find two shirts I like last month which were the Apt. 9 brand, one of the same brands I used to buy all the time. They have also added a new brand of jeans called Buffalo. I bought two pair of Buffalo, Slim, Ash, black jeans with the stretch waist band last month. I liked them so well I returned this week and picked up another pair of regular looking blue jeans in the same Buffalo, Slim, Ash, Stretch style. I perused the shirts once again but was unable to find anything I like. Either everything is flannel or too heavy of material or the shirts have a buttoned down collar. I don't know why sport shirts have a buttoned down collar. I'm not wearing a tie with them. I do buy some jewelry at Kohl's when I shop for birthday or Christmas presents. I have seven granddaughters and I'm always looking for deals. I have found a few deals from Kohl's in the past so I keep an eye out.
