Mostly because I assumed there would be a lot of name brand clothing, or vintage clothing to fit my size 14 derriere. I imagined the hip animal prints and flowy tunics I would find inside this lovely store front. Then it all came to a screeching halt. Wait a second. Did I just walk into my Grandmother's closet? Sadly, Simply Divine is marketed to older clientele. They have quite a selection, and I give them mad props for catering to the plus sized ladies, even though we don't like being called plus sized. I did spot a few random things from Layne Bryant, but they were older styles and way too big for me. Other than the LB stuff, everything else was brands I hadn't heard of. Everything was reasonably priced, but I can't see myself wearing a pair of checkered, mint green slacks anytime in the next decade. Divine has a selection of shoes in the back that cater to the wider and bigger footed ladies, which was nice to see. They were in really great condition too. They also have a small selection of jewelry and hand bags. Though I won't be shopping here anytime in the near future, I will be telling all the plus sized ladies about it. Its rare to find any type of clothing store that caters just to us, let alone a resale shop.

When I arrived, everything was laid out neatly and organized. She had sizes ranging from XS-3XL and it was a great selection of all seasonal items. The store is fully stocked and she keeps new inventory coming in on a regular. I purchased a sleeveless jumpsuit and a two. The material is very good on both items. I can't wait to wear them!
