KEEP YOUR MONEY, DON'T SHOP HERE - they don't appreciate your business as demonstrated by the poor…read morecustomer service they give. I called to get a price on a pair of high-end, pricey glasses at there in-store Sunglasses Hut shop. The switchboard operator had NO CLUE that they even had a Sunglasses Hut within the store and tried to tell me that I was mistaken. So, she transfers me to the general accessories area. Even the girl in that department didn't understand why the operator didn't just transfer me to the in-store Sunglass Hut salesperson. IDIOTS! So, she tells me that she will transfer me right over there as she is able to she that area from where she is standing. She further tells me that the the girls that mans the Sunglasses Hut seems to be with a customer, but that she will walk over to that area and pick up the transferred call, in case she doesn't pick up in time. So, what would you say 'in time' is? 5 rings? 10 rings? 20 rings? HA!!! The phone rang ONE HUNDRED TIMES!!!!!!!!!! (Yes, I counted them after the first 20 rings, so more like 120 times) So, I call back and push 0 to get an operator to request to speak with the store manager about this horrible service. I get the recording that my call is being transferred to the 'next available agent'. After 10 minutes of waiting, their system just disconnects the call. I'm on hold another 5 minutes until I get the annoying phone company message that my 'call cannot be completed as dialed' I go to the Macy's website to learn how to contact but...they HIDE their phone number. There is NO phone number for corporate to be found ANYWHERE on that website. So, big red flag to everyone...when a company hides their phone number from the public, you KNOW there is something wrong. In other words, don't shop with that company as they obviously have something to hide. Yeah, their phone number - because they don't want to hear from all the angry customers. I ended up calling the BBB to get a number they had on file...and it works. 513-579-7000 - ask to speak to someone to take your complaint about the poor customer service you received at your local Macy's. I called and got transferred to a Michael, in the executive's office. In short, his attitude was indifferent. I got a half-hearted "I'm sorry" at least five times. I asked him what else he was going to do to rectify the situation besides say I'm sorry. He said that someone would be getting back to me. I told him specifically that I wanted to hear from the store manager for him to offer a gift card for the horrendous service I got or I wanted to speak with the DM. I was told to expect I call within TWO business days. I called corporate on a Wed. I did NOT receive a call within those two business days. There's a reason my extended family got rid of their Macy's charge cards years ago. This experience has helped to reaffirm their wise choice. Again, don't waste your money or time shopping with this company. Customer service is the LAST thing on their mind.

I still do not enjoy shoe shopping as an update. Shoes feel like a permanent thing to have to buy…read more Probably why I don't like doing it as often. Or maybe it has to do with me having worked in a shoe store for a stint. Whichever it may be I am one of those people that will wear my shoes until it feels like you are walking straight on the ground. I came in here because it was time to upgrade. I tend to stick to what I know, went straight to the area I wanted to look at. After just a few minutes of deliberating I knew what I needed. This is where it takes a bit of a detour. When you figure out the shoe you want, you have to wait. See you only get the one shoe. You then have to wait for an associate to go on a kind of scavenger hunt to find the mate. Working in a shoe store I sort of understand this method. Don't have mated shoes on the floor so no one steals a pair of shoes. But unlike most shoe stores, Shoe Dept decides to do it in the opposite fashion. They put the boxes on the floor and keep every single match in the back. Or most of those matches. If you are truly determined you may find the match on the floor in a display. Which that kind of defeats the purpose of their system. The particular pair of shoes I wanted just happened to be this way. If I wanted to, not that I would, I could have grabbed the other shoe and walked right out the door. Especially given the fact that they label the shoe if it is on display and where it is. Anyway, I suppose I have veered off course here. There is minimal wait at the register. You do have to wait for them to "find" the mate. Employees could appear to at least like their jobs here, they make it feel like you are burdening them.
