It has been a while since I have bought something for work, and let's face it, not everyone works a job that requires fancy clothes. I had been out all day and been looking for thrift stores to hit up. The only one that I had been to in this area is a Goodwill, that is until I found this one. Fun thing about this spot is that it is housed in what used to be a Howard Johnson check in building. Still has the shape and all. It is a small shop, but it serves the purpose. Every piece in this shop appears to be handpicked. That was the one nice thing, even though I wasn't looking for something over the top, I found nice pieces that fit my need. Like many places, the men's section is rather sparse. Guess that just means that guys don't want to give up their clothes as much as women. That is basically the only reason I can't give this place five stars. I browsed the racks and found a few things that fit what I needed. For three pieces, I paid what I would have for one item new at any store around. I will definitely be back here, if only to browse. But I hope that if I do I will be able to find more steals.

The space is rather small and very cramped. With it being like this the items are all packed in and sometimes hard to sift through. There is a bit of organization to the chaos, but in actuality it is just a bit chaotic altogether. I walked in and wanted to go through the men's section and maybe look to see what else they have to offer in terms of knickknacks, but it was just all piled up on itself that it kind of gave me anxiety to go through the stuff. The employee, maybe volunteer, that was working at the time had a flat affect and made for a bit of a weird interaction. When I walked in I had said hello and attempted some idle chit chat, but it was as if I was bothering her, or maybe she just didn't even care that I was there. Items that are attached to national brands and items that are attached to local businesses can be found in here. It's funny, we came in here to search for a single item and I walked out of here with a completely different item. When I say I wasn't looking for this item, but it found me. Back to that in a minute. This place is a multistory business that will keep you guessing as to what the next stall holds. It's interesting that items from my childhood are now being considered 'antiques.' Well, I guess that is true. I was enamored with the pennant I saw for Forest Zoo. That really brought back memories and I really wanted it. However, I wasn't sure that it was authentic with how pristine it was, and the asking price was a bit outlandish. But the item that found me hit me right out of the blue. It was a Pyrex dish that was exactly like the one I had lost given to me by my Mom. To top it off, it was brand new, in the box, never opened. I had to have it and I took it home that day. This place is definitely a stop you need to make if you are in Ebensburg. They take cash and cards to make your shopping easier.
