Altoona PA store
I have only been in this store twice and that's since Target was announced as official store for "Wicked" merchandise.
1st trip in I have never seen a place so disorganized. We had to run all over the store to find any "merch" and then found out dolly/racks in the isles were here and there as well. So, toys were nowhere near toys, instead on the carts in clothing. Yet told had to shop for things by department.
No idea the options so would of had to scour the entire store to find things. POOR PLANNING!!!! I get having shoppers have to go to all departments to see/buy other things. But it was a vulgar mess that we gave up and left. Would of spent a LOT more money then the 400, had I been able to find all wicked items and shelf dumped one of each in my cart. There should of been a WHOLE section of everything wicked.
Oh well, yes other stores managed it.
THEN if you actually stupid enough to ask for help. It's clear NONE of the people even try to like their jobs, and dealing with you is part of their job.
2nd stop in, after seeing movie 3rd time. No name tag Karen, I dared to bother her and snapped back. I asked about wicked merch left and she said "nothing but some kids clothes over there" pointing.
As we walked around trying to maintain our "great" night mood. (after the snap back for bothering the lady) We were laughing as we walked by isles and would say "nope no pink and green" and other of us "pink goes good with green" A young lady 14 heard us and asked if we were looking for wicked things, she told us where a shelf of what was left was. We asked if she worked there, and she said no i'm only 14. So a child waiting on a parent to get off work from looks and sounds of it. Was thrilled to help us and point out. An actual employee was livid we bothered her to ask.
OK SO IF YOU DO NOT LIKE YOUR JOB to the point, you treat customers like garbage, you have forgot your job is the customers. Eventually you will run out of customers. How about basic manor and human decency?
PURE distain poured out of her to the point we felt like we were going to get knocked over by it.
NOW to give credit where it is due, cashiers both times were so sweet and nice, and when they asked how our visit was and we told them, they were so very sorry. The 2nd trip the girl asked if we knew the name. I pointed the woman out instead.
So coming from someone with social anxieties and covid made it worse. I won't shop there again I didn't need it the last 53 years I won't live 53 more. I do not need to shop somewhere that treats you like garbage and an annoyance of their job. It was horrible and really messed with anxieties for days after.
Again, I can tell you went straight to Walmart and had no issues finding Wicked merch!!!! (Duncansville store) Employees smiled at you as you walked by (not avoid eye contact) Showed us where something was, I was looking for, (not pointed saying over there that direction)
if I could give negative on stars here, I would have. So in closing if you want to be treated like trash go to target in Altoona, apparently that's their job discription. IF you can even find someone to ask for help. (for most part they are running a very certain path around the store, don't make eye contact, and annoyed if you stop them. read more
