I called Torres Plumbing for a rooter job and as the work got underway it became apparent that there was a bigger problem. It did not take long for Eric and his crew quickly diagnosed the problem using their camera and to discover I had a broken pipe under my slab!!! Eric got my pipe cleared so I could use the water over the weekend and he commented to get started at 8:00 Monday morning. "At 8:00 Monday morning" Eric showed up and by Tuesday at 5:00 PM my plumbing was all repaired and bathroom floor was back filled and concreted over, plumbing working perfectly, and my bathroom was ready for new tile. I was surprised at what a big job it was and what a big root it was, and how efficiently the work was completed. When Eric arrived he was friendly and personable. We discussed the job and he said that it would be 3-4 hour job. I thought that sounded reasonable. I showed him the hardware I had already purchased, and he said he would need a few more items. I said fine. Before he left he said he would get me a quote that afternoon, and that he could do the job the next day or next week. I said that would work. At that point I felt confident he could do what I needed. Soon after he left I sent him my email address in order for him to send me a written quote. Well, this is the next day and no response from him. I left a text message, sent an email, but no response. Not a peep! Very disappointing! Cannot recommend him to even follow through. Wow! Whoever wrote the response certainly wasn't Eric, and yet his name is signed at the bottom. This person was not present and should not comment on what discussions were held. Nothing was said about building codes. Nothing was said about price. In fact Eric did not want to talk about cost until he went back to his shop and sent a quote. As a retired professional engineer, I highly recommend this company not be used by any a/e firm. His actions show no professionalism in his work. read more

We had been having trouble with our tankless water heater from the day it was installed in our new build. When the company who installed it stopped responding, I started looking around for a local company that could service it, chose one, got it serviced, and it didn't resolve the problem. Again, I started looking for a company to help with the issue. Most of them said they wouldn't service our particular manufacturer and before even coming out, recommended installing a brand new system with an enormous price tag. Eventually, I got to Eric. Eric explained that he could perform the same maintenance service as the other company, he could even try some other things, but that wouldn't change the fact that the tankless water heater our builder chose was known to have constant problems and was basically impossible to clean. He quoted a very reasonable price for a replacement and explained that since we already had a tankless, the labor involved was minimal. I want to point out that 2 other companies I got quotes from didn't have a price for tankless replacement, only for tankless conversion from tank water heaters and that is significantly more labor intense and requires permits, both of which equal more expensive on the labor end. It would have been a massive overcharge for the actual service provided. Eric's quote specifically called out the replacement and therefore less charge. On the day of the install, the team encountered the awful hack job the previous "plumbers" did and fixed it at no additional charge. Immediately, my water was so hot I actually had to adjust my sinks and showers. Instead of all the way to the hot they are only about midway now. I thought by replacing my old water heater I was just getting consistent hot water, but instead I got hotter hot water AND no more issues. I'll be using Torres for my annual maintenance now as well. I'm glad to have found a local plumber that understands the valley. read more

With a smart kitchen faucet on the brink and little time in town, I needed to get this thing fixed quickly. At 8am, a quick Yelp search led to a few text messages and a technician at the house by noon. He knew exactly what he was doing and how to fix it, explaining in non-plumber ease what went wrong and how to prevent it from happening again. The price was less, by a lot with some, than the other competitors who had messaged me, not to mention a firm noon appointment. The others had 2 to 3 hour windows in the afternoon. Lucky? Maybe, but many times "luck" happens because you're prepared, competent, and oh by the way, very friendly and personable.
