Excellent meal at this nice restaurant in the Brera section of Milan, which was recommended to me by my sales rep at Canali. Had the basic spaghetti pasta with tomato sauce, garlic and chili flakes for a light lunch and it was delicious. Came with some great home baked bread. This is my favorite "must visit" when in Milan. Best veal Milanese ever! It is a typical Milan trattoria.

Everything we tried here was excellent! Even the bread they gave us when we first sat down. Off the beaten path but packed with locals, slightly more upscale vibe but not uncomfortably so. There were many things on the menu we wanted to try so we'll be going back. Thank you! read more

Terrible experience. We had a group of 5 and the hostess gladly sat us down and politely said we needed to be done before 11. The waiter tapped his watch and told us we were rushed before even asking us what we wanted. Was rude from the beginning and clearly had a different agenda. Recommended the more expensive wine 3 different times even though we were set on our original option. Every dish that touched the table was clearly rushed, the pasta was disgustingly al dente and 3 people in our party had stomach aches before getting back to our hotel. We were treated as another check of the night with zero respect to any customer service. I am extremely disappointed after seeing other reviews of this place. We sat down at 9:20 and had appetizers and entrees served and finished before 9:40, even when someone in our party had ordered steak. Clearly this waiter/establishment prioritizes money over customer satisfaction and everything we experienced tonight reinforces this. read more

This was my first dinner in Milano. It was highly recommended from locals living in the area. The atmosphere was very chill and gave me all the Italian vibes. Wine was superb and all dishes were homemade with blissful flavors. I shared the homemade raviolis with spinach and then of course ended with the highly recommended beef steak with mustard. Something I would traditionally not order but because of it was recommended I had to try it. I sure was not disappointed it was so tender and tasteful. This cozy and rustic place was filled to its capacity that there was a sign at the door to inform any incoming person. The space was quite tight, which made it intimate. We were seated by the kitchen and we watched them prepare the food. I had the risotto di Milanese and I thought I took a picture, but it must not have saved it?! This was really good, buttery, and filling for the portion they have given. It was pretty chilly outside and this warmed my tummy. Then I had the tiramisu and yum! It was creamy, yet light. You can really taste the espresso and there was an ingredient in there that gave a crunchy texture. The service was pretty quick in spite of all the customers and the price was affordable. read more

We were on holiday in Milan from New York. We lived right across Torre di Pisa. The food is most excellent. It's seasonal and amazingly cooked. The chef is very sparing in the salt, which is wonderful. The wines, specials, and regular menu items are wonderful. The desserts are equally up to the task. Tiramisu was fabulous. There is a waiter there named Guglio (Julio?) who made our vacation even more wonderful. He is kind, professional, hard working, and extremely helpful. He's super Bravo. read more

My hotel recommended this restaurant, the food was inedible. The artichokes were raw and tasteless, the Veal Milanese had no flavor-one side was dry and the other side was raw! The service and wait staff were horrible, they brought all three courses at once. Don't waste your time or money!! read more

This trattoria is ok but I would not recommend it. Had the caprese and meatballs for starters which were ok. Had the bistecca robespierre which was good but a bit too small for my tasting and the tiramisu was a bit too sweet. So overall ok and reasonable prices read more

Recommended by our hotel, this gem was just off the beaten path. E service was delightful and the food fantastic. The meat ball anti-pasta was light and refreshing. The Rissoto with Saffron was to die for( I am not much of a maccoroni &cheese fan but is was in at category and I wanted to eat the whole thing). The Bruschetta was awesome!. As second course I had steak and was that scrumptious! They were helpful on wine selection and the entire meal was well put together. Excellent meal! Wanted rustic/traditional Italian eats for our last night in Milan and ended up stumbling across this trattoria tucked away in a side alley. For those who are like me and wondering what those dishes are doing lined up on the front table (the ones most of the Yelp pics show) - it's not a buffet ;) those are certain appetizer and salad dishes that are served from if you order it - Example: if you order the prosciutto app, they'll carve it from the pig leg on that front table. Or if you order the bean salad, they'll scoop a serving out from the dish on the front table. So, in other words, I think they're placed out front so that patrons can see what they're getting and the restaurant can show off some of what they're serving. The portions here are appropriately sized to order both a first course and a second (main) course. Husband had the rigatoni in meat sauce as his 1st course and the sausage and potatoes for his 2nd - His review: 4 stars; the pasta was okay, but the sausage was delicious. I ordered the saffron risotto for my 1st course and the cheese and grilled vegetables for my main entree - My review: 4 stars! The risotto was very good - wasn't sure if I liked saffron, but turns out I do! And the grilled veggies with some sort of half-melted cheese was SUPER yummy! Highly recommend for the vegetarians! They also have a few other pastas and I believe one other main dish (eggplant?) that's vegetarian. We finished dinner with a cup of their tiramisu, which tasted wonderful. Do note the big carafe of house wine is probably best for a table of 3-4 people; if you're a couple, I'd go with the medium size carafe. Such an incredible experience. We had the fillet with fresh veggies and amazing red wine. The staff is incredible. A must do!

This was one of the most amazing and fantastic experiences of our trip through Italy. We were recommended this place by a friend and she didn't disappoint. We asked the waiter, Francesco, what he thought of our choices of our meals and then recommended substituting a few things to make it more delicious. He nailed it! Then we asked him to choose a wine for us, once again made an amazing choice. He was funny and very interactive. What wa Surat is we went early to eat at 7pm and the restaurant only started filling up at 8:30, so we looked after well had the best seats and treated like kings and queens. THIS is a MUST when you visit Milano and ask for Francesco he was superb!!! read more
