We got this thingy slice beef with artichokes that was highly recommended by the waiter. The meat was terribly dry and the artichoke was extremely stringy. The dish definitely needed more salt and flavoring. Next up was the pasta dish. The pasta was freshly made and cooked perfectly. But the mushroom sauce was flavorless and boring. The thick pasta needed heavier sauce to bring out the flavor, which was definitely lacking in this dish. Grill fish was the best dish that we got here. But, again, the salt needed more salt. I squeezed tons of lemon and added salt and pepper myself to bring out more flavor. It was good to have not the fish overcooked though. This would be the only dish worth ordering if you were to come eat here. Tip: Not a place I would recommend eating in Milan.

The pasta was boiled to perfection and tasted quite fresh. The flavor was 5/5 and the customer service was outstanding. Our waiter really took good care of us and was very patient with waiting for me to figure out what i wanted. There's a whole lot on the menu but I'm glad I chose an excellent dish. Wonderful with the excellent table side olive oil. The Caprese Salad was a huge sliced mozzarella ball, giant tomato, pesto sauce, and a micro green to round it out. Excellent! I enjoyed the Diavola Pizza. The spicy salami was flavorful. Loved dipping the crust ends in the table side olive oil. Really tasty pizza. Great service especially from the bartender as we waited for an open table. Without a reservation (I'd suggest one) they were still able to fit us in within 30 minutes (maybe 20). Definitely give them a visit. You'll enjoy it!

The menu is huge and I struggled picking something to eat but I saw the lady next to me had Branzino with pasta so I ordered that. The bread basket at the table was delicious and I snacked on that. Unfortunately, I was exhausted so I took my meal to-go and ate it in my hotel room. It was so delicious. It lived up to all of the hype that people say about pasta in Italy. I look forward to coming back here and trying more items on the menu. I was able to observe a few other people's meals so I know when I go back I'm trying the lamb chops, a few other pasta dishes and dessert. Also, before leaving I purchased some olive oil as a souviner for someone. I look forward to trying it.

The friendly owner, despite speaking little English, was very helpful in recommending dishes. Some dishes on the menu had English translations. After 8:30pm, more customers started trickling in. The homemade ravioli was the highlight of the meal. Pasta is al dente and perfectly tossed in tomato sauce. The most expensive item we ordered was the Fiorentina steak. At over 40 euros, the dish fed 3 people. Meat was tender but we liked the pasta dishes more. Overall, authentic food, friendly owner, and family atmosphere make this a good choice for a down-to-earth dining experience.

We've now been in Italy for two weeks, and this is by far the best dinner we've had…read more FOOD / DRINK - This place focuses on Milanese food, and it's definitely different from generic Italian, let alone Florentine or Roman fare. Most of our dishes were or rested on amazingly cooked risotto, as befits Milan, and it was all deeply flavored and just a bit chewy and made you gain weight just looking at it, so saucy were they all. I had ossobucco (over a bed of yellow, creamy risotto), and it was as good as any I've ever had. The servings were also sizable. Three of five in our party took a good lunch-worth home. The place has a full bar, and, I suspect, a wine list -- but the house red was more than up to the task. There were also many bottles of ZenVero around the back room -- a new Milanese ginger liqueur that was actually quite tasty (in a ginger-cello sort of way). SERVICE - Friendly and helpful and efficient. We walked in without a reservation at 7:30 (opening) on a Wednesday night. They seated our party of 5 -- but by the time we left, the place was pretty full. Reservations recommended. AMBIANCE - In other reviews you'll see notes about the bright lighting, and they are not entirely wrong -- if you are looking for dark, romantic corners, this is probably not the place for you. On the other hand, we could see our food. And if my mother-in-law had come along for the meal, she wouldn't have needed to use the flashlight on her phone to read the menu. NET-NET - I would go back there tomorrow night. I would go back there every night for the rest of our stay. I am flagging this location to come back to should I ever be in Milan again ... or Turin, or Bologna. A dining delight.

Fried Dumpling with Proscuitto- Light and pillowy with a nice crisp exterior. Pairs beautifully with the buttery proscuitto and the side of olives.
