Located just off the 110 Fwy on the corner of 223rd & Figueroa Sts., this station is always busy but the lines move fairly quickly. Watch out for traffic turning into the station whether you're coming or going, people tend to speed in & out of, & around the station. :-X United Oil also has a car wash that uses known cleaning products: FOAMbrite, ArmorAll, Rain-X. The prices seemed a bit steep for an auto wash, though I'm not sure of the going rate. Also, I'm not sure if the cars are adequately cleaned for such a short wash; I've seen other stations that are fitted with a larger wash operation. No matter the name of the dryer system... be it the Vortex Dry or Oxygen Blast... the cars still come out wet, not drops of water, but it looks like they were just blasted with a hose. :-O I haven't used the car wash & don't have any intention to, but this is just my observation of others getting their car washed when I've been here. I never had an issue with payment so I haven't been in the sizable convenience store. I'm here for the cheap gas, & nothing else.

Maybe I am old - but in my mind gas stations are known places to use the restroom - especially a known company like Chevron. I asked twice and was not allowed. The employee said she would get in trouble. She then directed me to the gas station (not a Chevron) across the street to use their bathrooms. My issue is not that my expectations of gas stations = bathrooms. My issue is that the sign should not be small and posted on only the door. There should be signs on the pumps so people like me can just get back in the car and go to another gas station. That would not have upset me. Spending ten bucks on gas I didn't NEED was frustrating. No manager was present for me to speak with. I called today (this happened yesterday) to tell the manager that they should post signs on the pumps. She said sorry as she would look into it and that she had to go as they had a lot of customers. Did she HANDLE it? Not sure, but she did apologize.

The lady I was complaining about before is clearly gone, so that's a HUGE plus in itself. Since then, their improved Rocket and Jack in the Box quality in customer service and generally as a triple collective whole has surpassed my expectations through the years. I'm always greeted these days by their cool Asian manager guy and his amazing staff that constantly keeps the restrooms clean and every product intact like how every Chevron should be. I dig how they have such a variety of snacks like hot dogs, chip brands, candy, etc. too with some of my favorite energy drink go-tos these days. Outside, it always seems very clean swept and the gas pumps always look new! It's cool and crazy because they're literally right next to their competition: SHELL with no problems. They are the closest next to the 405 S., so once you drive out, you can go about your business heading to work, vacation, school, etc. IF you're not caught up by the random train.....; but that's not a big deal to me. This is the 2nd Yelp review I've ever written because I'm that thankful for this place. I have an…read more'02 Toyota Camry with a check engine light that kept coming on after long trips. I took it to my regular mechanic (who I was not completely sold on) and they told me I needed two parts that totaled 1600$. Being a broke graduate student, I thought I'd get a second opinion. I brought it to the Service Center; they ran tests on it and called me later that day, saying that it actually was NOT necessary to buy the parts right now since the light was coming on because of a dirty filter/converter. Dave told me to fill my gas tank up with premium gas every few fills and let the hotter gas burn some of the crud out (my words, not his). He said he definitely tries to save people money when he can, which is obviously appreciated. I try it and it absolutely works. Light goes off, these guys saved me 1600 bucks and have a new loyal customer.
