This was our first time in Venice and we chose this place because it was in a good location and it was affordable. Considering we were only staying one night we were willing to settle for a 3 star hotel. Luckily I looked at pictures of the front of this hotel before arriving in Venice because the entrance door is just a small corner of a busy walking area. The man at the front desk that checked us in was very nice. He had to walk us out the door, around the corner of the building, unlocked one door, up the stairs, unlocked another door, down a hall, and then finally unlocked our room. The room was definitely smaller than I imagined but it was cute. It consisted of one queen size bed, a bathroom with a one person shower, and a balcony. There was a towel warmer in the bathroom, which was nice, but it was right next to the toilet so one has to be careful not to get burned. The balcony was shared with whomever had the room next door and unfortunately, we couldn't lock our balcony door. Could have been a problem but it wasn't. Again, we were only there for one night and we locked up our stuff just in case. The free continental breakfast was a perk and it was really good. The choices included egg, meats, fruits, cereal, yogurt, rolls, coffee, juice. Check out time was 11am and we weren't leaving Venice until 4pm so they were nice enough to hold our bags in the front area while we walked around the city. I'd stay here again if I returned to Venice. read more
