Torchy's is one of our go-to chains. They are one of the most consistent places we've been visiting since moving to Colorado in 2019. This location is huge. A large dining room with booths and low top tables. They also have a bar with a separate door entrance. It's a nice divide between the bar and the dining room. Order at the counter and yes, they've succumbed to technological ordering on a machine. For the most part, it's visual and effective, but some quirks. I'd still prefer to order from a person, god I sound like a boomer...bring back face-to-face interaction!!! As mentioned, food is extremely consistent. Their queso is awesome and I act like a fiend when it's in front of me. I simply cannot stop eating it. My most ordered taco at Torchy's is the democrat. The barbacoa is sensational, it's damn flavorful. I usually always order this one! I tried their taco of the month, the scallywag with fried shrimp. The shrimp were huge I tell you!!! Overall, it was pretty well balanced with the pickly veg, slaw, and fruity components. I prefer the baja shrimp personally to this one, but that's just me. I did not find April's taco of the month very interesting. It's basically a double patty cheeseburger put on a wheat tortilla. While I appreciate the effort that torchy puts into each in every taco this one just wasn't that appealing to me. At this particular Torchy's, it was all a self service touch screen menu, and there was no one to assist with my order. Consequently I found the checkout process very difficult and navigating their menu and trying to get it to accept some of my reward points was impossible. Tacos were fresh and plentiful in size. Lots of interesting, creative options. Got the Trailer Park and Green Chile Pork. All are customizable. There were two touch screens and a staff member was there at the counter. Sat down with a table buzzer. Food was delivered to our table. After a miss at another Torchys recently, the Westminster location was a breath of fresh air! I stopped by for lunch and there was only one other table when I got there and by the time I left it was almost full in the main area with a growing line of those waiting to order. The chips and queso aka liquid gold are always a good idea and they recently came out with a Torchys bowl similar to a burrito bowl at other establishments. Usually this place is pretty good but we stopped by tonight and ended up waiting about 50 mins for a togo order. After waiting for about 20 minutes we asked twice to check the status of our order and both times were told it's on the way. We finally just went up to the front and they had to go back and find our order on the computer. Hopefully this problem gets taken care of. read more

Delicious. Very filling. Austin Texas staple in Colorado. More and more popping up but I would say the quality is still consistent. Even for being a chain. Vegetarian options. Classic meat eater options. Dranks both alcoholic and not. Just a fun vibe to grab some fast casual food. Have a meeting. A date. A family outing and to still cover all your bases as far as dietary requirements. Separate bar at this location. AMPLE parking and outdoor seating. You can call in an order or order ahead online. Fast service. Lots of two tops or four to six tops inside so bring the whole gang. Definitely family friendly but some regulars that just drink at the bar minus the food. Closer to Wadsworth than Sheridan but it's the spot in between the Sheridan and Wadsworth / Highway 36 mashup so you could drive by and miss it in a blink. Prices have raised a bit but what else is new? They have a good menu selection including salad, burritos, desserts, appetizers but mostly tacos as the name suggests. They make a mean margarita and have a decent beer and tequila selection. If you want it less "spicy" you can try the Applebees a half mile away. No other notes. read more

This Torchy's Tacos may be the best one in the Denver area. It's up north near Westminster but well worth the drive from some of the not so good ones near downtown. The food was hot, fresh and it was clean and well kept in there. I'd definitely go back to this location if I need to itch that Torchy's craving again. I ordered the steak fajita taco and it didnt quite hit the mark as it was cold and the meat was tough and chewy. This was my first visit to Denver since a visit around Christmas. We didn't make it to Torchy's during that trip so this is my first return visit since my disappointing visit last fall. I was ver funny with tonight's visit. The food was up to the standards of my earlier visits and the service was good. We had 4 adults and two kids in our party and everyone had a great time and a good meal. We had a variety of tacos and fajitas and all were excellent. My personal favorite is the "trailer park, served trashy" (No lettuce with queso). We also ordered an appetizer of tortilla chips with queso - their queso is delicious. The good news is that we now have Torchy's Tacos back in Columbus, OH. One is already open and two are under construction. I won't need to drive to Denver for my Torchy's "fix". We come here at least once a month for over 2 years now and it's always been great service and food, but lately everything has been quite exceptional where I have to write a review! We did a pretty big online order and it seemed as though they just threw things together, wrapped it in foil and called it good. Simply because it was a big order and had to be done by a certain time? I understand a lunch hour rush and the frustration and speed kicking in to try and make all customers happy but what's the point of being busy if you can't provide quality food? The food was just very underwhelming and disappointing in comparison to past experiences, nothing tasted fresh, items were soggy and the food did not have a long transit path back to us so it wasn't sitting for a prolonged amount of time. multiple items we ordered were prepared incorrectly or were even things we didn't order and specific directions left on individual items were completely dismissed. There is a happy little scoop of guacamole hidden under the cheesy goodness waiting to be discovered. I could literally just eat the queso, but I needed some dinner too. The cashier gave me some good recommendations and I got two of their fabu tacos. I had a Trailer Park taco "trashy." They replaced the lettuce with queso. Do we see a recurring theme here? Possibly. We have been coming to this torchys for years, since they opened. We come every. Single. Week. We always feel the service is A+. Amanda and Tyler are the A team behind the bar and they are the reason we keep coming. They know our orders by heart and always make sure our food is correct, or corrected if it's not. Definitely our favorite neighborhood bar. The mist recent management has been fantastic as well. The qeuso is the best! If I could give 4.5 stars for food, I would... but just because sometimes, when I order a trailer park trashy, there might be hardly any queso on it, or sometimes the pico de gallo is really watery making my taco a liquid mess. That's my only feedback on the food though. Atmosphere.... when it's bustling, it's amazing. We stay all night because it's fun! BUT... sometime when it's an hour, or even 90 min from close, the support staff start breaking down the areas of the restaurant that guests are actively in. Like, putting chairs up at the table next to mine. Or sweeping the floors and mats around me, kicking up dust while I'm eating or drinking. I wish management would just make a firm request that the patio side of the restaurant is closing and if we wouldn't mind moving to the interior side. I would be happy to. I totally get that breaking things down before close is necessary, but chairs up and sweeping should probably wait until closer to actual close or when guests are gone. We ordered drinks with dinner and the waitress took our pagers and said the bar tender would know where we were seated. We then proceeded to wait nearly an hour for the drinks. When we went and asked the waitress she assured us it would come because it's busy. The drinks never came and when we went up to the bartender she rudely told us to go wait in line again because she lost our order. During this time we also saw the bartender quickly rinse 2 used glasses and fill them again...yuck. At this point we were angry and the same waitress from before stopped by. She told us the drinks should have been tied to the same pager she took from us in the first place and took over 10 minutes to find our orders again. When we asked to speak to a manager, the kitchen manager came out and said we'd be refunded. As of today we haven't been. Skip this place, they clearly don't care about their patrons based on the health standards and customer service practices that were flaunted. Jersey Mike's is next door-- they're clearly the better choice here. We still want our money back. read more

Torchy's was really good. The service was great and the food came out quickly. The shrimp taco was excellent. My friend had the fried avocado taco which looked delicious. She said it was one of her favorite tacos. The guacamole was delicious. They sprinkled Parmesan on top, which I wasn't crazy about so make sure you request no cheese if you prefer not to have it. Had a great time and good food @ Torchy's with my GF. She introduced me to this taco madness and some of the best queso around! The Patron margarita was also very fine :) Love that the bar and where you order your food is separated by a great distance, so you can sit at the bar and not be disturbed by those who prefer just food. A pretty cool setup, actually. I had the Mr. Orange taco of blackened salmon and it was surprisingly GOOD! This is just a great place all around. My only complaint would be the "made from scratch" churros that we took home for desert. They were old, hard, and not fresh (???). But, everything else was good, the bar awesome, the staff great and I would return. read more

Torchy's Tacos provides a solid dining experience in the Denver Metro Area. I stopped by Torchy's with some friends last time I was in Colorado, and apparently it's been quite a while since I lived there, because I'm the only one who hadn't heard of Torchy's! My friends raved about it, and I can see why. The restaurant has a neat vibe, and certainly appeals to the modern adult looking for a convenient and comfortable dining experience. The ordering process is not unlike what you'd find at Chipotle, but you'll find that most of their menu is indeed Tacos (as expected), and there are very few non-taco options. There is a very large selection of tacos, and many of them are have funny names that make you laugh without being offensive.The Tacos are actually a good size, and as a result, I'd say the average adult can get away with ordering 2-3 tacos. As far as taste, the restaurant delivers pretty well, not quite authentic, but it suits the American palate well. Keto/ Low carb folks: You can definitely get enough food here, I'd recommend going the route of ordering 3 tacos and just not eating the tortillas. I ordered a burrito (in a bowl) and found that it wasn't really much food for the price. Overall, Torchy's is worth a try, it's got plenty of options, and is a good choice for most. read more
