Due to the lockdown restricting restaurant I decided to go ahead and support Torchy's. Do not order to go/curbside pickup. They told me that my online order was going to be ready by 7:30 PM, that was a complete lie. Around 7:40 PM I asked if my order was ready & they had no clue if its even ready. Once they realized that order had been sitting in the back for more than 5 minutes, I finally got my order. The food was super cold when I got home, I had to reheat my tacos in the microwave. Awful customer service experiences & yes I understand that times are tough right now but if I'm paying $15-$20 for food at Torchy's then I expect better food quality & customer service. read more

One of my favorite taco places and with so many to choose from in the state of Texas, that's saying a lot, in my tastebuds never ending search for delight. Not that I need upscale digs for tacos but this is much nicer place than the average great taco is born. Bar and patio if you come outside of lunchtime rush. This Torchy's location has actually ruined Torchy's as a whole for me. The chicken in the trailer park taco is consistently rubber-like, they overload the tacos with sauce and chorizo, and have left out items from my to-go order multiple times. read more

Gross. The chips are good but they literally dump a spoon of salt on them. Brownies are NOT in-house. They buy them from somewhere else and resell them. I asked for not spicy and they gave me really spicy queso. If you don't like spicy food stay away from here. Barely any options for you read more

I have a strange relationship with Torchy's. We met in Austin years ago and didn't really hit it off, but I kept coming back. I understand that this is a heavily populated area for businesses to come for lunch. If I as a consumer notices that, then I imagine the business should as well and be prepared. I come here today and actually called my order in. Long line per usual and one register. That does not make any sense for this area. I ordered to go food and the food came out quick. The girl in the front was very nice. I drove all the way home in traffic opened my bag and found out I had none of the tacos I've ordered and got 2 odd ones. I had to get in my car drive all the way back over 25 minutes to get my order that has been sitting there for over 40 minutes. It was still warm but tasted disgusting like it's been sitting out. The manager was nowhere to be seen nobody talked to me or apologized. Very disappointed. I always have such a good experience at torchys and this store was my first time visiting. Never again I will come back. Also I had to open every taco and check because the Stickers were completely wrong. My chicken fajita taco had trailer park sticker on it. Torchys needs two different reviews - one for in person dining and one for take out. The food portion is significantly less when you get take out. A trailer Park taco with take out tonight had one small chicken strip. The same taco ordered dining in almost fills the basket. We like torchys, but just don't feel like we get our moneys worth when we order take out. read more

The staff is so nice here. We visited 8/4 around 1.30p. Somewhat busy and the bartender knows what she is doing. The Hillbillies nachos was so freaking good. I took too long to try this place. Ughhh. Dude, I love the food here but, trying to order to go is impossible. Usually I try to order on my way home from the gym (A 15-20 minute drive) and it takes me that long to put in my order. So by the time I get to torchy's I just finished the phone call. I've been forgotten about on hold. This isn't a bank, I don't want to hold for 30 minutes . Today I've called 5 times and was immediately put on hold for several minutes without anyone answering the phone. I tried to order on the very, VERY clunky website and it wouldn't take my information and said my order was "too large" aka 3 tacos and that it's going to take 25 minutes. I just want your food, it's good. But your customer service is atrocious. I'm just always frustrated by the time I get my order in. read more

I usually like coming although the food is not always consistent. Last night I ordered a green Chile pork taco with the corn tortilla slightly toasted. I got back a fried tostada?! I sent it back and they came to ask me what I meant. I tried explaining to essentially heat up the corn tortilla. Otherwise it tastes cold and bland and the texture is like cardboard if it's not heated to complement the pork meat. I got back a raw corn tortilla slightly heated. Gross! Luckily the chips and queso were really good and held me over for dinner. I give them 3 stars because they asked and tried again. However, our table was dirty and no one was around to clean it so I grabbed a towel and spray from their own cleaning station and wiped my own table and seat. We call them to correct the issue and they say they'll refund us, but I've never seen anything actually get refunded. I've been to this location several times now and I can confidently say that this is the worst Torchy's in Dallas. The food is always cold, always. The Trailer Park chicken is dry and rubbery. The sliced avocados are brown. The pico de gallo is mushy. Nothing tastes fresh. To-go orders are consistently wrong or missing items. The interior of the restaurant smells like a daycare center. I can't think of a single positive thing to say about this location. Make the drive to Torchy's in Addison and compare for yourself. The difference is striking. read more

Honestly yesterday was just the last straw. I can't eat dairy (butter on something is fine but any significant amount I get very very Ill). I order it without cheese and sour cream. They mixed cheese into the burrito. They consistently get our orders wrong (they also forgot my wife's Avacado which they did charge us for). It's just never right and after a whole night up sick we don't need to go back when there's half a dozen places to get tacos within a mile of this place. They used to come check on the food or at least apologize when they got it wrong. They just remade it and dropped it on the table. Do better. read more

This my roommate's and my go to place for quick and reliable tacos! Notable tacos worth trying would be the Baja shrimp and the Mr. Pink which both make up my usual order. Turns out my friend also ended up ordering the same thing by coincidence. Two tacos are large and very filling. Food comes out fast and the employees were friendly! This place is famous all across Texas and there is a reason why- it's so good! This place has a very southern vibe which is very unique. I was told the tacos are a good size so I only ordered two- baja shrimp and the politician along with some chips and queso. Honestly? They were both awesome, and they each had their own unique flavor. One of my favorite Taco places (because they have lots of vegetarian choices). I always, always get their Fried Avocado taco. The avocado comes out crispy and delicious! Add in some of that white sauce they give on the side, and it is so good! I also love their breakfast tacos (I always get the Migas). First day opening, they were super busy! Started off with the chips and queso, so good!! With those bottomless chips.. Made a mistake and filled up on those without knowing. For the tacos I got the fried avocado taco and the Brush Fire ( jerk chicken! ) I think I can skip out on the fried avocado next time, too much bean paste for my liking but that jerk chicken is so good! BEWARE of the Diablo sauce! It's super spicy (and I can handle spicy) I accidentally put the whole thing on my taco and had to take breaks eating lol One bad thing about today was I Wish they had more than one cashier; cause the line was incredibly long.. I've been to most Torchy's in the Dallas area, but this one by far has the poorest quality control. We had to send both the Trailer Park (shriveled, small burned chicken strip) and the Green Chile Pork (cold, cold, cold) back and get a manager involved to get things fixed. Stick to Preston & Forest location. Hopefully this is not a trend as Torchy's expands and the founder is separated from the whole concept behind his restaurant. read more

Both tacos were cool not hot at all for coming straight from the kitchen. The democrat had 0 flavor! It tastes like I was eating corn filled air!! The shrimp on the Baja shrimp taco were fried and cold so they had become soggy. I didn't know it was possible to mess up tacos but I see now that you can. Love the location because it's convenient and super close to my college campus (whoosh!! any fellow comets?) Tacos are yummy. Great tex-mex style tacos. I usually order the baja shrimp or the fajita tacos. Although they're a little pricey, the tacos are HUGE. The chipotle sauce on the baja shrimp is delicious!
