This is one of my favorite shops for tamales. However, I recently discovered a wonderful soup. They have called Fideo. It is excellent. Well this Monday I was craving it so bad that I drove over 30 miles to get two bowls of it. It's not cheap. It's over $30. I get to the shop pick up the soup it's in a white paper bag and it's stapled clothes. I put it in the car and drive all the way back for 30 miles to Plano when I get home to take it out of the car it has spilled and ruined the interior of my car. I was heartbroken and furious as I had quite a greasy mess on my hands it's spilled in the interior of my car and because they placed it in a paper bag in order to try to get it out of the car it's built further on top of my car and in my garage I called and immediately told the young lady that answered what happened unfortunately due to a language barrier, she could not help me but suggested I call back today. I called back today and spoke with Sergio and he advised he would replace the soup for me. Free of charge. I love the soup so much did that is sufficient although the interior of my car now needs to be professionally cleaned. I say all of this to say that soup is so good. It's worth it. If you're ever picking up tamales, you have to try this awesome soup. It's so good. I'm going back another 30 miles and risking it all. Thank you, Sergio for taking care of me. read more

Love this place. It has a great open seating area, that accommodates lots of patrons, but is not cramped and allows each table to carry on conversations without talking loudly to be heard. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the needs of the guests, but not overly coming to check to be a bit bothersome. The food is great, hot and abundant on each plate. It is beautifully presented and in a timely manner depending on how many patrons are present. The margaritas were flavorful with just the right amount of liquor to mix ratio. We have not had a bad meal, poor service or any that distracted the evening. Additionally, the manager on duty has come by to inquire if there was any problem at our table. And the waitstaff has offered their opinions on meals they like or suggestions when we look to try something different from our usual favorites. read more

I've been going to this location since they opened and it always has been a 10 out of 10. But today it was terrible, all the employees were running around like a chicken with out a head, all of us customers were having to clean our on table witch I don't mind doing as long as the food is good, but it was terrible the beans that I got with my order were cold and I had the taco plate and I did not get barbacoa it was brisket I don't mind if I order brisket tacos but I ordered barbacoa, and the tacos were so greasy they were disappointing, my sister ordered taco plate also and it was the same they were so greasy, we did not get the onions and cilantro and or the grilled jalapeño even the people next to us returned their food because they said it was cold and greasy. My go-to HAS to be the carne asada on flour tortillas. The amount of food you get along with the quality of everything is more than your moneys worth. The sauce bar is really nice and clean. Was finally able to check this place out there spicy pork was so delicious it had so much flavor. There chicken with verde was decent just didn't have the heat I desired. Oh man there Tamal borracho did not disappoint it's a huge tamal with Serranos so it's super spicy and a mix of tamale meats it's so filling!! There concept is simple but hot and fresh tamales by half or full dozen or buy frozen tamales which are cheaper and just as good! Definitely will be returning to try more out on there menu. Where does one start, tacos are generously portioned, meat is tender and seasoned to perfection, the corn tortillas were cooked to perfection , tinder to the last bite, Now lets talk about the tamales, I won't mention where I have faithfully been getting my tamales for the last 8 years, I am sorta of a tamale snob, so here we go, the filling to masa ration is spot on, the fillings, which we had were spicy pork and bean and cheese and jalapeños and cream cheese, and last but not least Pork, was perfectly seasoned, and tender to the bite, the masa was so deliciously seasoned , you can taste the love that was put into making them. But we cannot leave out the charro beans , these beans were cooked to perfection, the broth was a yumminess to the last spoonful. We visited here twice in the past few months and had good experiences both time. The selection of tamales was great, and few flavors were sold out. We ordered chicken cooked in green sauce, pork, and bean/cheese. They were all very good; the chicken in green sauce was our favorite. The masa was very flavorful. These are some top tier tamales here! Found this place because my washer broke so I went to the laundromat next door. After my laundry was done, didn't want to mess around no have to make dinner and decided to just stop inside and get some tamales for dinner. One of the best decisions I've made recently!! No waiting for them to be heated up and there are quite a few flavors to choose from. We usually get a dozen mixed flavors and we have leftovers for late night snack!
