Torchys is hands down one of the best places for chips and queso in town! The food and tacos are always a vibe! I'd recommend ordering one taco at a time if you're a slow eater so they don't get too cold! Never a bad choice if you want solid tacos! They make their own flour and corn tortillas too! My choice of tacos are the democrat taco and fried avocado taco! Their signature poblano sauce is very fire too! The service is always great and the food is ready pretty quick! The staff is very nice! And they have a full service bar if you need a pick me up for happy hour! read more

I have to be honest in saying that I think Torchy's is one of the best fast-casual taco shops I've been to. They have a wide variety of options to choose from and some are quite creative flavor combinations. This is a great pick for a group because everyone is sure to find something they like. I ordered the Baja shrimp tacos which were very good and the queso and chips were standard but great as well. We did try the street corn which was a bit over-charred and burnt tasting and the churros which I wouldn't recommend as they were a bit dense and overcooked. I think the tacos are the star of the show here and worth a try if you're in the area. read more

Solid Torchy's Tacos location that has a variety of great taco offerings - my favorite are the seafood ones with shrimp- and chips, as well as a variety of hot sauces for use on the side. You order at a counter but the food is brought out to you, so excellent service on that front. The inside is actually a lot more roomier than you would think! Their menu has its own twist, so please approach it by leaving your Tex-Mex/California expectations out and being ready to try something good. Our family loves their kids' menu. I'm surprised this place only has 3 stars. So this is not an authentic taco place but it's a good taco place. They are good sized and well stuffed. I had the trailer park trashy style and brushfire without mango. Both were good but I preferred brushfire. The two filled me up and could have just done 1 with the chips and queso. There was a very nice and helpful chap, goatee, salt and pepper hair, don't t know his name but he knows customer service, extremely kind, you don't see that all too often at a chain. Loved the idea of Brisket ANYTHING! In a burrito and taco... My only suggestion is that they put heat on their Diablo sauce. It has a typical base heat, where the heat tingles the edges of your tongue. I would rename it Little D, and then you can make the Diablo a touch hotter (imho). That being said, food was delicious, clean and not greasy! I am looking forward to my next visit! We don't have Torchy's in Los Angeles. read more

I had never tried Torchy's, I got three tacos and a half queso to go, I asked for no cilantro on everything because it tastes like soap to me.. everything I got had mounds of cilantro and looked like the cooks didn't really care much... honestly kinda like the cooks put extra cilantro it was so much.. Overall, a good experience. Went in on Saturday at 1pm, so still busy, but the line moves fairly well. Nice atmosphere, it's loud but I'm old. It was clean, and most staff was working hard. The cashiers could've been friendlier, but that's the only complaint. The food- split chips and guacamole...chips were warm, fresh, crisp and just the right amount of salt. The guacamole was really nice, topped with a little white cheese. The Mr. Orange was a blackened salmon that was deli. I enjoy this location more so than the Chisholm location because to me it seems more open! Their bar also seems bigger as well as their patio. Same great taste and menu! I love the atmosphere here it seems like this one has a bigger patio larger bar area to sit and a much better parking lot than the one by Chisholm creek. I am pescavegan and so I had a few options, but I'm so over it. The beans have cheese in them! Half the tables are closed because of social distancing, half were full and the rest were dirty. I got the salmon taco aka "Mr. Orange" minus the cotija cheese. It should have been named "Mr. Tongue-Fire." I can't tell you anything about the flavor because of the burning in my mouth. A stress-free outdoor dining experience in the age of COVID. The queso, rice, and beans are all super tasty - and I take special pleasure in ordering the Democrat taco here in red state Oklahoma. When you need to unwind, their frozen passion fruit margarita will do the trick. Be forewarned, though, that they typically shut the bar down a bit before the restaurant itself. So don't show up right under the wire if you want to imbibe. We saw a lot of sad people come try the locked doors and get turned away. Shows the demand is there, so here's hoping Torchy's is able to return to their normal hours sometime soon. read more

DANG GOOD!! First off, I want to say "thank you" to the owners for a great opening night. They gave everyone 2 tacos, a margarita, queso, and brownies... FOR FREE! Are you kidding me!?! What I like about Torchy's is their eclectic menu. The names and the ingredients are so unique and fun and that's what differentiates them from other taco places. I got the Tipsy Chick, which has grilled chicken and roasted corn, and the Chicken Fajita taco. The frozen margarita and queso were also on point. Would I have gotten this much food if it wasn't all free? Probably not. They are on the higher side when it comes to price point. It's hard to feed a family here for a reasonable price, but that doesn't discredit how good their food is. Torchy's is such a great taco edition to the OKC community... I love torchy's! I have always visited the location near Quail Springs Mall, but I found out this new location was open! They are very consistent with the amount of food you are given. I had the trashy trailer park and the Texas Hottie! I was slightly surprised the Texas hottie was rather mild for having a cayenne pepper sauce. I am rating this location with 3 stars due to their lack of concern for Covid 19. I saw only two team members were wearing face masks. I am shocked to the manager and company are not enforcing team members to wear masks. I am only being so critical because I also work in food service. They are keeping tables to a minimum and practicing social distancing. read more

Servers and cashier were really nice, food was as expected, consistently good in comparison to other locations I have tried. Just wish Torchy's would bring back the Mexi-cane colas, loved it in Norman, not available any more. Coca-cola is served here. Terrible. The menu lured me in, sounded amazing. The reality, they fall REALLY SHORT! They sell you tacos for about $5 a pop, and the menu makes them sound gourmet. The reality is that they're basic $2 value-type tacos. Look at my pics and you tell me. I ordered 2 green chile and pork, and 1 democrat. Would you expect to receive what I got? One would expect an incredible taco full of gourmet ingredients. Not so. And the tortillas were cold. Hadn't even been heated. Apparently, Republicans don't like avocados or corn tortillas. I didn't know that ordering avocados and corn tortillas could be such a political statement. At Torchy's you can order a Republican taco or a Democrat taco. The Republican comes with jalapeno sausage on a flour tortilla and the Democrat comes with barbacoa and avocado on a corn tortilla. What if you're a Republican, but you're also gluten intolerant? Do you put yourself through the pain of ordering a Republican taco even though the Democrat might be better for you? Or can you ask for democratic substitutions on your Republican taco? At that point, would you just be an independent? Anyways, I ended up getting the Mr. Orange taco and the Fried Avocado taco. Love my trips to Torchy's Tacos, however do not love the takeout process in place. As I mentioned, I love Torchy's but they have yet to find a great way to package their to-go orders in a way that it does not negatively impact food quality. It almost never fails, when getting takeout from here, your almost sure to find your tacos wrapped way too tight in cheap foil, and crammed in a bag as if you pulled through a fast food drive-thru window. If their take-out methods and process don't change, they should consider significantly lowering their prices to better align with the quality of their take-out service and process. That out of the way... if you are able to dine in at Torchy's you'll almost never be disappointed, as the food comes out HOT, FRESH, and DELICIOUS as it should be.
