I don't recall seeing like beans and rice Small dining area, big mix drinks, good for girls night tacos and margaritas. Spanish and English speaking, no worries, you will have menu in Spanish and English! Hate that it's so far from my house, but they're on UberEats!!!!! Pambazo IYKYK!!!! Great atmosphere for a fun or lively dinner! If you stick around long enough on a Saturday night, the vibe transforms into a lively party feel with free shots and a DJ. We tried the carne asada and pastor street tacos--they were good, though I've had more flavorful ones. The lime margarita was definitely a hit! The guacamole was tasty, but I would have loved a bit more cilantro and lime. Attentive and friendly staff! Be ready for a wait if you're dining in on a Saturday night. I'd give this place another try! read more

Food is meh! Flautas are huge but extremely greasy, drench in oil, the tacos al pastor were not good at all. Chilango tacos in Dallas is amazing this right here not even close. No flavor Service is a bit slow and that's mid day with only a few tables occupied. They have a huge screen playing videos of reggaeton etc just FYI in case it doesn't go with your values or you have your children with you . I would not recommend or come back. Came here for lunch during the weekday and the place was pretty empty. Live vibrant colors and loved the "Lucha Libra" themed decor throughout. Place was pretty clean and the service was quick. Ordered tostados chicken and steak the seasoning was good had good flavor however the tostados shells tasted stale and hard. Ordered the torta that was amazing. Good flavor from the meat the sandwich was pretty good. Also ordered the choriqueso but subbed the meat for the al pastor. Amazing! Tried the Kriptonita drink was a little too sweet for my liking but it was strong. Will come back at night to see the vibes and try different menu items read more

We lived in South Texas for 20+ years and were looking for something authentic. This was NOT it. Subpar service. Waited for 10+ minutes to get chips and another 10 until our server came and offered drinks. We were there way early. 4:30 on a Saturday. I'd hate to see the service when they are busy. Ordered the choriqueso, poblano enchiladas and Alambres carne asada - basically tiny fajitas. The enchiladas had no flavor. Bland chicken and the sauce tasted like just puréed peppers. No seasoning. When my husband salts his food, you know it's flavorless. The choriqueso had a tiny sprinkle of cheese, hardly any queso. No free drinks. All drinks including water is bottled. They certainly got the social influencers to come out in droves, but skip this if you want good food, unless you just want the hype. read more

First time here and I have to say I'm a little disappointed but nothing that wouldn't make me not want to come back. I ordered the Quesachorizo "no onions" but guess what it had extra onions. It took so long to get our food, it is Sunday, but excuses, right? They offered to fix it and I said no because everyone was almost done eating by the time I was able to point it out. They ended up making me a togo. They were so busy, which is good, but they can't handle it and half the staff waits for food to come out of an eternally slow kitchen. That being said, the food we ordered everyone liked, was well-presented, and the staff was friendly. The salsa is awkwardly served in bottles that aren't made for it but they tasted really good and spicy. Otherwise, everything is in small disposable containers. read more

Every once in a while a place comes around and it manages to capture a specific moment. El Chilango does exactly that after 9 pm on a late weekend night. The tunes are goin', the orders are flowin' and the trompo is rollin'. Loud with conversation and music. All as you patiently await for mouthwatering tacos while you ponder a second round on the after. I have to take a moment to talk about a legendary establishment. I was disappointed to find out that an unrelated taco shop perished about 2-3 years ago. Cardenas, a heavyweight within the OKC area. Alas, I can't see or smell what they're cooking anymore.. But about 2 years ago Chilango came around, and it's a worthy contender. Another that can take the reins for the best taco in OKC. IMHO, ofc. When I see the trompo, I know there's a high likelihood that the al pastor tacos will be absolutely superior. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were, and were even better with the creamy green and red salsas that Chilango had to offer. The red salsa was spicy and flavorful. The green salsa was balanced and rich in savory notes. I wasn't a fan of the third molcajete-style salsa, but we won't talk about that. The al pastor, asada, and campechano tacos with a dash of lime, and prepped all the way with cilantro and onions are perfection. Perfección. Perfezione. Perfectum. Come to think of it, there's some similarities between the sauces and tacos to Chilango and Cardenas--but maybe that's just my delighted delirious-driven conspiracy theory. Don't sleep on this place. Don't sleep on their volcanes either, it's their version of a vampiro. Actually, order it as your second round. It's a great presentation of a tortilla grilled to a crisp like a tostada, loaded with cheese and topped with a meat of your choice--all the way of course. Great service. Great food. Great place. I'll be looking forward to OKC in the future, just for Chilangos. read more

Looked for an amazing Mexican Restaurant and we're so happy we found one! As soon as you walk in they have a big TV screen on the back wall with good music. We were Sat where the music wasn't too loud but I did get under an AC unit that dripped a little, but they moved me when I mentioned it. I ordered the burrito Chilango and my wife ordered the street tacos. Both were very delicious! My wife also got the Horchata and it tastes incredible! Carlos was a great server, really took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Management continued to check on us throughout the experience. 10/10 would recommend. read more

It's a great place for late night food! But the quality of the food is just ok but they do serve food til late. The ambiance is loud and too many strobe lights for me. I had the tacos al pastor. I had seen posts on Instagram and everything looked delicious. The tacos were okay. They lacked flavor. The salsas were not very good either, not very flavorful. The margarita was okay. I have tasted better food and drinks. I was not impressed by the flavors. The service was good. It is a fun place. There was a DJ so that was fun but we didn't stay long. The el pastor burrito was soo Delicious. The table salsa was unique with a pinch of spicy. Good atmosphere, music. we must stop here again.

Saw this place on tik tok with a band and so much tasty looking food! I need to try this on an outing with my hubs! Looks like good fun!

This was our first time here. I had seen this restaurant on tiktok and thought it looked good. Not so much. First, the restaurant has a handicap accessible doorway in but as crowded as it is, I doubt a wheelchair would maneuver through very easily. The restaurant is crowded and super noisy. The staff was super nice. Very friendly. The food was disappointing. The chips were bland, tasteless and blah. The salsa was extremely spicy. We got tacos and entomados. The tacos were bland. Very disappointing. The entomados were smothered in tomato sauce. Smothered. The meat inside was not good. No seasoning at all. It was definitely not worth or drive there. read more

This was not somewhere we will come back to. The food sounded amazing but was just ok. I actually did not eat mine. Just ate a couple bites. One person in our party actually had some diarrhea 7 hours later. He was the only one that ate the "salsa". Tap water is not available and a bottled water or soft drink is 3.75. The plate I ordered was tacos. I got meat with a few green peppers and tortillas. No sides offered. 15.00. Same for my husband. After tax and tip it was mid 40's. I wouldn't mind that if the food was better. My suggestion is to offer sides that go with the meal. Offer tap water with ice free. And try to enhance the flavor of the meals a little. For the large screen tv playing, maybe have videos you're playing not be nasty. Those videos will only please a small crowd. read more

Gotta admit, I was influenced by a social media influencer to try this place out. I saw a video of the rotating tower of meat that was freshly shaved and put on the flattop to crisp up then added to warm corn tortillas and was ready to support local. We came here on Labor Day and to our dismay there was no meat rotating but probably pre- prepped and sliced. I ordered one Al pastor taco and the chorizo queso fundido. I ate the taco pretty quickly and added the pineapple salsa and it was tasty. $2.95 The queso fundido was torched tableside with a handheld butane torch which was cool to watch but made the dish inedible be because it tasted like lighter fluid. Wil I return? Prob not since there are so many other taco shops in the area. They restaurant did replace the queso fundido after we told them what it tasted like but maybe the lighter fluid taste continued to linger and it just was not good. read more

I ordered the Chorizoqueso and the Chorizo was less than desirable due to it not being seasoned. I also tried the chicken and steak tacos. The meat was luke warm when it came out and not seasoned well at all. I have family from PHX and we are use to pretty authentic Mexican food and this was far from it. I then tried a beef taco and also less than desirable. The manager tried to make it right but the food was simply not good. I will say I appreciated him taking the time to come over. He did not charge for the chorizo queso but I was still charged for the tacos even tho I only took 1 bite. The pineapple juice was delicious and the salsa was very good. Overall this is a 2 experience due to the food. The customer service is a 5 and everyone was very nice. read more

I say it was okay ‍ not like most Mexican restaurants and our server was nice she hardly speaks English and yea I liked her idk Spanish and my mom does so my mom helped out alot. The atmosphere was to hispanic for me crowd wise yea. But Two cute waiter guys I liked so that was a bonus. My waitress talked to me that's the only one that did besides the lady that reserved the table for me for my sis and mom. Buy yes just wished the waitresses were more helpful menu wise. read more

Neat scenery, fast service and great food. Glad we came across this place, definitely come back

The Mexican food here is authentic, fresh and flavorful. It's a mom and pop shop, with sweet ladies running the place. They are very proud of their food, cooking with love, with recipes originating from Mexico City. The dining room is clean and comfortable. And it's fun, with a lot of orange, festive music pumping overhead, and a luchadores wrestling theme with masks displayed all over. Sure, their food is a little pricier than other places, but worth it. Taco recipes have been tweaked some since I began eating here a coupla years ago..now coming with a heap more veggies on each, distracting a bit from the meats but still tasty. They have el trumpo rotisseries that sit unused until weekends. Which made me worry my al pastor could be a week old..But it was delicious - a little tough but lots of flavor and just enough heat. Carnitas was just okay, but the asada had lots of flavor. Gorditas are a little pricey here but my menu favorite so far - piled high with cheese and fillings, bread toasted to add some greasy goodness. Fresh tortillas are made in-house, even the large quesadilla-sized. Salsas are well made, tasty and fresh (and very spicy!), especially that orange habanero. Agua frescas made fresh and super flavorful, $4 for 16 oz - some of the best horchata around. And their fermented fruit drink, I think it's called tepache, is outta this world. Ask for it! They could improve a few things. Service can be disorganized at times, cook times can run long, and communication can be an issue. But the ladies have been so chatty and friendly to us, I rounded up to 5 stars. read more

Incredible street tacos, the margaritas are delicious (but beware, strong), and what an interior. These are authentic Mexico City street tacos. We went for lunch before heading to the airport and I cannot wait to come back late at night. I got one steak taco, one barbacoa taco, and one al pastor torta. All were clean tasting, not dry, and...listen. The al pastor is the best I've had outside of Mexico City. So tender, extremely flavorful without a ton of added salt. Served with homemade salsas, which were spicy and fresh. Liquor isn't on the menu, but get the margarita. It's not made with that horrible, sweet and acidic mix most restaurants use. It was boozy, with some lime, but well balanced. The owner visited our table and was incredibly kind. Like I said, can't wait to go back. read more

Overhyped. Food is good not great. Kitchen turn times are dreadful. Over an hour wait after ordering until food was brought out. Waitress apologized after 30 minutes and said it would be right out. Then she came back 10 minutes later to say it would be 15-20 more minutes and asked if we wanted to stay. I wish they could have been more upfront about the wait times. We stayed but it wasn't worth the wait. I had the tacos and they were good just not worth waiting 20 minutes for a table and an hour to be served. I spoke to the manager about our experience and he was unapologetic. He said they cook to order and it takes time. He ended up comping our drinks for the wait which we appreciated, but it didn't make up for the overall experience. read more
