Never happens at a convenient time, right? To make matters worse, the portion of the broken crown that remained on the tooth was jagged, affected my bite, and I was concerned that I might actually inhale a piece of it as more of the crown continued to erode. Early the next morning, I called Dr. White's office and was told that they "could work me in with his associate" at noon that same day. I took the appointment. When I arrived, I was somewhat at ease because I was already familiar with the office staff and dental assistants BUT this was going to be my first experience with the "associate" dentist. To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive. When all was said and done, I had one of THE BEST experiences I have ever had at a dental office - and I've had many. As a result, I strongly recommend Dr. Kindra Dietrich to my family, friends and you. Here's why: Remember, I had been worked into her already packed schedule. After Dr. Dietrich introduced herself and began examining my broken crown, I quickly learned that she was focused on providing me with the best experience and dental care possible. Rather than requiring me to come back later in the day to get the process started, she insisted on working through her lunch hour so I wouldn't have to make a 50-minute return drive. Within an hour, I had received some treatment options, had a temporary crown in place and had an appointment to set the permanent crown the following week. I asked Dr. Smith how can that be? 6 months ago I didn't have any.? To my regret . I had 3 fillings on 4/9 . Dr Smith was irritated I didn't opt for the gas. I'm unable to use this. It makes me sick. The 3 fillings were sensitive but was told it would pass. I had 3 more fillings filled on 4/30 because again they took my dental insurance. Dr. Smith was in a super hurry. Those 3 filling on right bottom are to date 6/5/24 so very sensitive I cannot tolerate anything cold. I have made contact by email & left message at office. I will be seeking another provider under Delta dental. Do not trust this issue will be solved by Dripping Springs Family Dental aka Dr. Smith

I'm a wuss when it comes to pain, especially with dental work. When he shot the back of the gum with the local anesthesia, I didn't even feel a sting. He took several minutes administering the shot as he very slowly injected the anesthetic. He explained that the sting one normally feels is due to how fast the fluid is injected. The slower, the less the fluid parts gum tissue, and therefore less sting. Then, the tooth filling itself was a walk in the park. And my nerves are very sensitive! The true test was the rest of the day and following days after the anesthetic wore off. He sure found the right tooth with a filling that was loosening from years before that was starting to cause soreness. Now, I can chomp apples and anything else without babying the right side of my mouth. Dr. Whisenant is super patient and was happy to answer my questions without rushing answers and explanations. Great job Dr. Whisenant! You get an A+!
