I found a really nice set of buoyant glass floats for only $12.95 (found the same one online for $40)! Went back a few times to this store to pick up more items to bring back to friends. Their prices are lower than most souvenir shops and the couple who manages the store are locals who are friendly and very helpful. They did not hesitate to recommend points of interests and restaurants to try. They like tourists!

This store is a life saver!…read more We are contractors and had a job on Orcas Island. We had never been to Orcas before and were unfamiliar with the area. Before we set out for the island, I looked up local hardware stores (just in case). I found Island Hardware & Supply, called them to make sure they would have what we MIGHT need, hopped in the truck and got on the ferry. OF COURSE it turned out that we DID need some items, so we set off for the Hardware store. We got lost and ended up at the little hardware store in East Sound - we thought we were at the right store, but they didn't have any of the supplies we needed. We were pretty confused until I found out from a local resident that the little hardware store in East Sound is on North Beach Road, and the big hardware store (Island Hardware) is on West Beach Road. So we hopped back in the truck again, and set out to find Island Hardware. (yes, we got losat again...but eventually figured it out) We were so relieved when we located the store and were able to purchase the supplies we needed, because we were thinking that we would have to get on the ferry and drive to the home depot in Mt Vernon (that would have taken forever). Island Hardware had all the stuff we wanted, lumber, tools, big bolts, lag screws, plumbing supplies etc. They even have a couple of little gas pumps which was handy for us. We had the occassion to go back up to Orcas for round two of the job which was exterior painting. The paint we purchased needed to be re-tinted at the last minute. We remembered that Island Hardware had a paint department and took the buckets of paint to them with our fingers crossed. Even though we didn't buy the paint from them, they happily re-tinted it for us...I thought that was pretty generous and excellent customer service!

So when dad and I decided to go fishing over the Fourth of July weekend, I needed to renew my long neglected fishing license. I thought we'd be heading into Burlington for the big outdoor warehouse, but dad pulled up in front of Morgan Creek and I was shocked to see that the place even existed in deserted downtown Woolley. So we go in, and I'm immediately floored by how much stuff they have packed into this little store. Not in a confused, haphazard way, everything is very organized and clean; you can find what you need quite easily. They have pretty much everything you'd need for a short trip to the lake or the woods. Rods & reels, lures, ammo, firearms, doe urine scent (that's right Seattlites, I said doe urine scent. You put it on your boots so you don't get your human-smell all over the place and scare the deer away.) Mike and the rest of the staff are super friendly and helpful, and are available to help you out with anything you need, including tips of what the fish are biting on and where. And this place just oozes of small town USA. It's the kind of place where everyone in the store knows everyone else in the store, and people are glad to see you. Sort of like Cheers, but for rednecks. To top it off the store is painted adorably. Yes, an outdoor store has an adorable paintjob. Check it out, you'll see what I mean.
