The traditional chocolate, and then a pumpkin with cream cheese. I'm a Whoopie pie traditionalist. I don't care for the fancy flavors, I want the real true Maine Whoopie flavors. This Whoopie was delicious! It had that nice dense semi sweet cake, that's kind of sticky. I hate the super dry fluffy Whoopie. NO THANK You. This was perfect. The cream inside was amazing.its too bad they don't list the ingredients of their "frosting" on the package. Because I am trying to pin point what the specific ingredient is in my favorite Whoopie pies, that set them apart from others. Spears frosting is similar to the frosting they use at applewald farm in Litchfield. It has a little bit of a zip to it. Salt? Cream of tartar? A certain kind of vanilla? I don't know. But I like this! Yum! Ok so aside from Whoopie pies, they offer local meats and cheeses, seasonal produce, which right now it was just greens, and some tiny tomatoes, Cukes, early summer squash. But there's more coming! They offer honey, maple syrup, jams and jellies. It's very nice inside their farm stand, everything is clean and tidy and organized in a "ohh I need that!" Shopper inspiration kind of way. I always make a point to stop here when traveling through Waldoboro, which sadly, is only about twice a year.

East Forty Farm and Dairy sells fresh meats and cheeses, the latter under Lakin's Gorges Cheese. We had the privilege of meeting Allison, the cheese maker and owner, and she was incredible. Not only did she tell us all about the cheese and the process, but she also introduced us to her baby cows! It was a lovely experience, and we cannot wait to return for more cheese and try their pork. The cheese itself was delicious. We already ate the Rockweed and it was one of the best cheeses we've had! The middle was briny since Allison adds seaweed to it -- it doesn't get more "Maine" than that. The farm has a self-serve fridge that's cash only but if you ring, Allison will come out and you can pay by card. Lovely spot, lovely people, delicious cheese.

The tidal river is easily accessible within a 10 to 15 minute easy stroll from the parking lot. Horseshoe crabs can be seen spawning in June. Plenty of fish fry hatching in July. Great place to wade, but be mindful about disturbing the horseshoe crab grounds where there is sand. Clams can be gathered at low tide. But make sure you get a permit from the county clerk before hand. The daily clam bag limit is generous. Lovely views of the river, tall grasses and wildflowers. There is even an Osprey nest that gets used in Spring through Summer. A magical way to drink in midcoast Maine without a lot of driving and hiking.

I have had multiple horrendous experiences at the pharmacy. The pharmacy techs, who are waiting on…read morepeople take the brunt of the customers abuse. However, the pharmacy manager is about at useless as an individual can get. I worked in retail for over 30 years, and I never let anyone talk to my staff in that manner. As any good manager would do, I stepped in and either deescalated the situation or had the individual removed. The current manager stays behind his glass enclosure and leaves his employees to fend for themselves. Fortunately, I have found a pharmacy where you don't have to wait 5 plus days for a prescription, and the pharmacist is present and not hiding. Hannaford's has not only lost my business at the pharmacy, I don't even shop at the store any longer. You may believe that this is an isolated incident, but nothing could be further from the truth. I was introduced to my new pharmacy by another unsatisfied Hannaford's customer, and I have told at least 10 others who have now left your inferior pharmacy. As for the other pharmacist on staff the female pharmacist is extremely pleasant and apologetic for delays. However, the other male was so rude to an older woman it was disgusting. Not only did he violate her HIPPA rights, as he clearly stated the medications she was taking. He was also extremely nasty to her, asking her what would you like me to do, all these people are waiting as well. ATTENTION All CUSTOMERS: Find another pharmacy, Amazon is great and their prices are far superior.

Fantastic low sugar pineapple soda from Mexico. Beautiful corn. After eating this food today at a picnic table over on Pemaquid Pond, we are doing a complete reversal and going to start shopping here a lot more. So I had this desire, but what could I do with it?I I got on line, and decided to call Rising Tide, I spoke with their front desk manager Kate, who is fabulous by the way, and within no time she jumped on board my bandwagon. They don't have a delivery service, but another wonderful employee said she would be happy to deliver my gift. Within an hour they put together a lovely gift bag for me. Fresh flowers, a bottle of red wine, an array of organic chocolates, a yummy creamy cheese, specialty crackers, grapes, and a lovely card. Kate even wrote my personal sentiments inside the card for me. In about one hour they took my desire to do something nice, and brought my wish into fruition. Talk about angels on earth!! Kate accidently forgot to charge me for the grapes, and wanted to pay for those herself. I can never say enough about the employees of Rising Tide Co-op and their hearts for service. Bravo my friends!! Thank you for all you do!! You deserve acknowlegement for just being you! You can bet if I ever make it back to your area, Rising Tide will be my first stop!
