Their price blew every other quote out of the water and they offered a better shingle and a better workmanship guarantee warranty (10yr). Much to my surprise they were at my house 2 days later installing my new roof on the house. They stripped two layers of shingle, replaced several bad decking boards I had. They do 6ft of ice and water shield. Code only requires 3ft. They made sure everything on the roof was wrapped up, secure and water tight. Then they started putting down the shingles. I mean these guys work like a well oiled machine together. This company does not subcontract out the work. The employees work for J & J. Peaks started project but when we were concerned with workmanship Peaks stopped work. Called office numerous times and were told need to talk to Brad and get back to us. Over 3 years later and 1500 phone calls to Peaks trying to get answers on when they were going to complete project or refund our money and we would find a new contractor. Peaks never returned calls - always told had to talk to Brad and would get back to you. Put down $20K to start work - only work completed was drywall and trim in one 17 x 1 ft room. Drywall was wavy. Trim person had to fir out drywall in spots to get trim to lay flush - shoddy workmanship. Paid $19K to have all granite replaced in kitchen. Never replaced and would not refund money. Brad agreed to store our stone at his warehouse to keep it out of the way of trades until framing completed and stone could be installed. After numerous attempts to get stone from Brad, finally agreed to give it only if we would sign a fake letter that we owed $9K in storage fees and would not help load over 1000 sq ft in pallets with fork lift, made trades load by hand onto trucks. For any person looking for Peaks to do work - BE FOREWARNED! Brad and his company Peaks are not trustworthy, do not stick to schedule as promised, and ignore clients. He stole our money and refuses to refund. We are currently in litigation with Peaks to return money owed to us. I'm trying to warn any person(s) to not do business with Peaks! We do not anyone to have to go through our nightmare with this SHYSTER! PLEASE BEWARE!

We hired Larry for a kitchen remodel and it seemed like he had good reviews. We had another…read morecontractor out to the house who was very knowledgeable and professional, but only hired Larry because the quote came in lower. Now we seriously regret it. His work was sub-standard at best. His quote was at 3,500 originally, for a tiny kitchen, but when it was time to write the check we were charged an extra $650 in materials. We purchased all of the materials except some wood trim. I don't think mud, and screws, and a little bit of trim warrants $650, an extra charge that we were not informed about in advance, or an itemized list of what materials that he used to justify the extra costs. If screws, mud, and some wood trim warrants a $650 charge he must base his prices on what the government charges people which is seriously over inflated and ridiculous! I asked simple advice during the cabinet install and his excuse quoting him was " I'm a contractor not a designer". I never asked him to design our kitchen. The other contractor came out and actually designed the kitchen even before we hired him. We had a few cabinets that needed to be returned to Home Depot, which all contractors do. His excuse was " my truck is full I can't help you". Also our refrigerator was moved around the kitchen and both handles are now broken, possibly leaving us with having to replace it. The wheels on the refrigerator suddenly stopped turning because there was so much debris under them they seized up because of the lousy clean up of the floor was. Larry installed the new sink, and all new sinks come with garbage disposal covers, and he didn't even look for it in the box, therefore it was not installed leaving us to get someone else to install it. So I found out his honesty level is extremely poor, his work is cheaply done, and his attitude is unprofessional at best. His personality is over inflated just like his material costs! I only paid it because we were so fed up at that point with all of this mess, we just wanted to get rid of him! I asked him how much a tiny backsplash would be , just for my own curiosity and entertainment, and he came in at $2,500! He seriously thought I would even consider that after all the happened! Well, we cheated out hiring a contractor who did sub-standard work and broke our refrigerator handles, and left gouges in our new cabinets, and with a terrible attitude, besides other things. Never do that again! It was well worth hiring the other contractor, who would have done everything for us. We are seniors and my husband has Parkinson's and other health issues which he clearly seen. I would never, ever recommend him to anyone! One star is actually too good for him! Do yourself a favor, do your due diligence when hiring a contractor!

It pains me to have to write this review. My husband and I were in need of a plumber to sweat some…read morecopper lines. My husband reached out to Done Rite and was told he didn't service our area and wasn't sure he could totally do what we needed. Okay no problem. He said he'd come anyway since he had some open time and we greatly appreciated it, it had been tough to find a reputable and reasonably priced plumber. Larry is the owner, my husband spoke with him over the phone. He said he wasn't sure he could do what we were asking but said he would come anyway. My husband plumbed commercially many many years ago. With work and our kids, our plates are very full so we decided to hire this portion of our basement reno out. We were definitely happy we got somewhere who was available and seemed to be pretty personable and friendly. Larry told us his prices and we accepted them. Larry came by with 3 other guys, so total 4 guys including Larry. One guy attempted to do the work while Larry and the others stood around watching. When my husband realized they'd need some assistance he jumped right in to help. The other guys Larry brought were very friendly and nice, a far cry from what we've experienced before. Larry literally stood around and watched the one guy work, not giving any direction, smoked a few cigs outside our walkout and answered phone calls while these young and obviously inexperienced plumbers tried their best. One guy had more knowledge but you could tell he was still learning. Hours began passing and we realize this is not going to get done quickly if my husband doesn't help. Being the person that my husband is, he steps in to assist the obviously stumped guys at what else to do. My husband then had to say to Larry hey man why don't you get started on that section while these guys finish up here? Literally so much time was wasted. My husband ended up sweating some of the lines himself so they could be done faster smh. After all that Larry's sweating was poorly done to say the least. Finished product looked terrible. Then when we got the bill it was almost $700! And Larry did one copper pipe!! What a waste of money and he still charged us. We pay because we're honest people but we were not happy. We felt taken advantage of big time. Then a pipe starts leaking. We called Larry back, they had just left so we tried to catch them before they got too far. Larry sends back the one guy who did more of the work to fix the pipe. After the fixed issue, Larry asked if he can charge us for another hour! What a waste of time and money. It took them from 9am to close to 3/4pm to finish this job. And it would have taken longer if my husband hadn't stepped in and started telling them what to do. My husband did about 70% of the soldering. Larry's way of doing business is a sham. There is no way we should have been charged so much for him doing ZERO work and then he wanted to charge us $100 more after they had to come back and fix something. Of course we were not paying him anymore money for him to stand around while his worker tried to figure out what to do. The others who were very pleasant, looked lost and Larry gave them no guidance whatsoever. He definitely ripped us off. We should have just stopped them at 2 hours smh. Once we realized Larry was leaving these guys to just figure this out, my husband stepped in. Being nice and we got taken advantage of. Lesson learned. The one star was for the guys being friendly and coming to our area. Update: we now have a leak smh

I signed a contract with Frank in August 2022. Panicked and concerned about the water in my home…read moreand potential long-term damage, I did not read the contract as closely as I should have. Frank told me it would be a maximum of 12 weeks to get my home back to its former state. The following day, his team arrived, packed up (although not labeled-not even the fragile items) my belongings and put them in a trailer in my driveway. I was given the key so that I could access my belongings if needed. I was not told that they were charging me $500/month for the trailer. This trailer obstructed my driving access to the garage, and impended the ability for trash cans to be taken to the front and the back yard to be mowed. I had Frank move it. The trailer also left rust stains on my driveway. Scratches were left on my hardwood stairs because of the thin paper used to cover them. Unbeknownst to me, I was charged a weekly fee to rent the furniture blankets for my furniture in the trailer! I'm not sure why because they were used after moving them to the trailer, because they weren't being moved back into my home for several weeks. Frank had two cabinet companies come to my home to provide estimates. One would take 14 weeks, the other estimated that it would take 3-5. I went with the latter company, although Frank was encouraging the other company. I reminded him that he said the entire remediation/reconstruction would take 12 weeks. He responded, "Even after the cabinets arrive, I'll have to get you on the schedule and that could take another 6-8 weeks!" Interesting - I thought my contract and the incomplete work put me on the schedule! His attitude and tone became unacceptable. He even threatened to put a lien on my property. I terminated the contract and paid his company what my insurance had authorized for the work done to date. My lawyer advised me to get a signed release of lien from Frank before I handed over the check. Frank advised me that he had not, in fact, placed a lien, so I demanded a notarized letter on company letterhead stating that he had not done so. He provided it to me, and I proceeded on my own. All Weather Restoration had only removed half of my flooring, stating that they did not detect moisture on the rest of the floor. When this flooring was eventually removed in preparation for my new flooring, mold was indeed discovered and had to be treated. This was an additional expense. I received my check from the insurance company and am having the construction done with the companies I choose according to my timeline and their availability, not anyone else's. Getting my home back to pre-disaster status is a priority for me and will be completed within the 12-week timeframe that I was promised because I took over. I prefer to be a part of decisions being made on my behalf, and having the insurance company pay me, not a remediation company based on their decisions and timeline. This experience was a very difficult lesson. My lawyer has always said, "The devil is in the details." While I appreciated Frank's persistence and persuasion with the insurance company, in retrospect, I wish I had just initially paid his company for the remediation, nothing more.
