I'll admit, we both walked in a little apprehensive, especially as we're a couple of Yanks. Those intrepidations quickly vanished after we were immediately welcomed by the friendly and down to earth bartender. After we mentioned we're currently trying out a non-alcoholic phase, he replied that he's about 2 years into his and gave us our first round of ginger beers on the house! WOW, talk about setting the tone for a great night out. There is such a chill & laid back yet happening vibe here, with so much action going on. The bar connected to a super lively bowling alley as well as a music venue (which wasn't open during our visit). They even had a pool table and TWO ping pong tables in the back. The ping pong balls were only 25 cents each and the paddles were in pretty good shape. They even had one paddle with the super thick padding, great for creating spin and such. We had some lively games and got pretty loud, yet no one seemed even remotely bothered! After about an hour or so, we checked out the bowling alley and discovered it had a massive arcade room. I tried out a hurricane simulator and yes, I survived! All in all, this place really rocked. It was a ton of unexpected fun yet not at all too wild for my taste. Seems like a popular spot with the locals and certainly one I shall return to during my next visit to Destin!

This establishment is NOT taking very many COVID precautions. Not limiting capacity. Not requiring social distancing. Both of the lanes next to us last night had large parties. No masks required. They are cleaning the table tops after each party leaves.

It didn't taste great to begin with, and at that price, you would at least expect attentive service and refills -- which we were never offered. If it had been a canned soda, the price might make more sense, but this felt excessive. The Bloody Marys were $17 and, in my opinion, overpriced for what was served -- well vodka, two pickled green beans, a lemon wedge, and two olives. For that price, you'd expect something more substantial or elevated. It just didn't feel worth $17. We ordered brisket sandwiches, which were good, but the French fries were overcooked to the point of being inedible. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet our waitress never checked on our table or offered refills. I'm not sure if she was new or just inattentive, but the lack of service added to the disappointment. When visiting Baytowne Wharf in the future, I'll likely choose other bars and restaurants.

Ordered a beer (wasn't ice cold), $17 boom boom shrimp and hush puppies as starters are clearly fried from frozen and not good at all! Chargrilled Oysters were definitely fresh and tasty. Skeptically, I ordered a 1/2 dozen of oysters to try as a start. Then a dozen. These are a go to. View was cool aside from the natural uncured rubbish at a glance. Good for kids! Drinks: I didn't order drinks thanks to my other fellow elite member reviews (lack goodness and came in plastic cups). They were definitely correct. Drinks do not look appealing. * Resort fee was $1.72 added onto our check. * Use cash to not be charged the 3.5% credit card fee. Enjoy but choose wisely!

I never took a sip before the photo. Manager did not care but sure could have created a happy and returning customer by pouring a bit more in my plastic cup. Instead he said "if the bartender measured it, that's what you get" So, we paid for the $12 sip of wine and left a $20 so the server got a good tip and left to get a better meal down the road. Slick lips actually served food on real plates and not baskets. Drinks in glasses, too. Will not return to Hammerheads. I'm here for a month and this place will not get another dollar.
