Let me start by saying there were 4 of us and we got there around 7:50pm (they close at 9pm). We were VERY rushed to put our order in and very rushed to pay our bill. I understand people want to go home but if you're open until 9 I don't see what the problem was. We're all great tippers and we appreciate good service. Now on to the food...the wine was your average bargain store wine and I could've bought a whole bottle by the time I paid for one glass. We started off with the filled wontons which I'm going to be honest they were FABULOUS. I ordered a crunchy crab roll and a California roll, the sushi was sub par to say the least. Really good food and huge servings! We take leftovers home every time and we eat there regularly. My husband's favorite thing is the baby octopus sushi. I love the Teriyaki chicken box...soooo much food. Hibachi chicken is also very good. Excellent prices. Great friendly service. read more

Top Thai is a really nice looking restaurant with an interesting mix of southern food and thai food. The interior is quite nice looking and spacious. The music was a bit odd, hits of the 80's & 90's, but whatever. The menu is decently sized but pricey. My meal came out to $23 including tip. I had spring rolls for a starter and then the spicy thai shrimp. The interesting thing about the shrimp was that it contained unseasoned broccoli and the shrimp was seasoned with Tabasco sauce. Every time I'm in Dothan I try to eat at Top Thai!! Love the Pad Thai Chicken and Chicken with bean thread. Lunch comes with a bowl on soup and salad. Love their salad dressing! I have never had bad service or bad food. This place is amazing. read more

Under new ownership, this place went from Thai to what would be construed as Asian Fusion. On Friday we visited the new Top Thai and gave it a try. Afterwards we wished we hadn't. The sushi was mushy and amateurish. The fried rice was sticky and lacked flavor. Then came the entree, which was described as "Chicken Cashew Nut" - and what I believe was an attempt to describe the common Cashew Chicken dish - was an abomination. The chicken was overcooked and hard and the "vegetable ensemble" consisted of whole cloves of garlic (NOT cashews but a nice surprise when you bite down!) and what appeared to be water chestnuts. Wrong. They were hunks of ginger root (yum). All I can figure is that this was the chefs first night in a kitchen, ever, and drew his inspiration from photos of food, not actual recipes. In summary, avoid this restaurant. The other Thai and Japanese restaurants in Dothan are far, far, far better read more

The staff is friendly but the food is most definitely sub-par, sushi included. You will find authentic Thai food elsewhere in Dothan, and for the best sushi, take a drive to Daleville to Tokyo Sushi. The portions here are small and more importantly the food is sadly average at best. read more

When I lived in Atlanta I was addicted to Thai tea. It was simply amazing. The large came in a to go pint with a straw in it.(like the to go soups in Chinese restaurant the large) when I found this place I was super stoked because I was so ready to have more tea. I went in and ordered the tea. Only one size.... And was over priced. It wasn't much, I literally drank the whole serving in 3 gulps. I had to order 3 to equal the serving I paid for in Atlanta. I do understand that this is a smaller city but there was no small med or large serving size. I go in occasion now. I was not satisified about the tea serving size so I doubt I'd be happy with the food, so I've yet to try it. read more

Horrible. I ordered a yellow curry, the sauce looked more grey then yellow, the chicken was cooked so long that it was chewy. I've had yellow curry before. This was horrible. So I asked if I could swap it for something else. They first made me feel bad about that and then charged me for the original yellow curry which was 3-4 dollars more and said that's what I ordered so that's what I pay for. And wanted to argue with me. The customer! I will NEVER be back and I don't recommend eating here. read more

We have been going to Top Thai for several years and the food is consistently excellent. We have never had a bad meal there.
