Chicken tacos with guac
Jake H.

It hurts me to give this place only 3 stars. The quality of these tacos is amazing, but the portions are very small for the price. 4 tacos and I'm still hungry after. I've tried the chicken and carne asada and they are fantastic. Nice place, good amount of seating. Gets very busy around lunch time 12-2pm.

I ordered several things to try out: loaded nachos, loaded fries, al pastor and carne asada tacos and a torta. The tacos were ok, I didn't enjoy the taste I've had better but the torta made up for it. It was very delicious, id only go back for a torta. I did half carne asada and half al pastor on my sandwich and it comes with a side of fries. The loaded nachos and loaded fries do come with guacamole which tasted very good. Friendly service!

This was our first time visiting this location. When we ordered at the counter, they gave us a hot sauce caddy with 3 options for hot sauce and told us to sit wherever we wanted and they would bring out our food. Unfortunately, as we sampled the hot sauces, I found that all of them were a bit too spicy for my palate. It would be helpful if they also offered a more mild alternative for us wimpy eaters. They have four types of meat to choose from for their tacos. The choices were Al Pastor, Asada, Chicken, and Chorizo. My husband and I chose to each get Al Pastor and Asada tacos. You can get onion and cilantro toppings for the tacos, but unfortunately I asked for no onions and they didn't give me the cilantro either and my husband's taco didn't have the pineapple. The tacos come with 2 street sized corn tortillas per taco with the meat and some pineapple slices on the Al Pastor tacos. The portions seemed to be on the smaller side and we wished I'd ordered at least one or two more tacos since we were still hungry when we left. The Asada taco was pretty simple with just chopped meat on the corn tortillas. It was good to have the hot sauce to add to this taco to keep it from being too dry. The Al Pastor was my favorite. The meat was juicy, tender and flavorful. The pineapple was a good bonus pairing with the meat also. There was no need to add hot sauce unless you really need more heat. They offered a variety of bottled and canned drinks as well. We chose to get 2 cans of soda, but these are a pricy. Bottled water is the best value if you just need something to wash down your meal. Better yet, if they had a soda fountain, it may be more affordable for the customer and the owner. The men's and women's restrooms were located in the back near the back entrance and the doors are locked. The staff must come and unlock the door for you to use them. Based on the neighborhood, I can understand why the locks may be necessary, but it will likely be a problem when they are busy and they may need a dedicated employee to police these restrooms during those times so customers don't have to wait too long. Lastly, the order counter is fairly tall. The the credit card machine is mounted on the top of the counter, and I had to stand on my tip toes to see the screen in order to pay. Next time I come, I will most definitely get more of the Al Pastor offerings. They really did a great job with this meat preparation.

First impression is everything ...great hospitality, tidy clean restaurant and scent of the vertical rotisserie (trompo) was making me hungry. Not fluent in Mexican cuisine... I noticed the Aguas Frescas when I first enter. Staff explained the 3 type they had... hibiscus, tamarin and horchata (rice). I was most interested in the.white drink (horchata) he let me sample. Yum! The Taco al Pastor was delicious! The marinated spiced chicken, traditionally cooked on a vertical rotisserie style and served with pineapple, onion, lime and cilantro was a perfect balance of spice, sweetness, and the tart pineapple... perfect! Also three types of salsa for topping. Overall, thank you TOP TACO for the excellent hospitality and amazing food! Definitely a FAN

First time coming here. Place is extremely clean and the staff is very friendly. There is no parking in the front usually so be sure to go around back. You are given a caddy with sauces after ordering. We ended up taking ours to go but they gave us a good amount of sauces to take home. We got the loaded fries which were good! I liked that they offered TWO proteins to choose from. We got asada and pastor. I do wish that the fries were more crispy but it was still good. There was a good amount of toppings such as gauc, sour cream, pico de gallo, jalapeños and nacho cheese. It was packed with meat as well. We got asada and pastor tacos too. Asada tasted a little bland to me so I wasn't too big of a fan. I did enjoy the pastor tacos though. I liked that they give you pineapple with the pastor because some places do not. Overall it was a great experience. From the service to the food! Good place for tacos downtown area!

I tried the carne asada taco and the Al pastor taco. Both were fantastic! They filled the tacos really full, they didn't skimp on the meat or anything. I also got a horchata to try and it was really good. Wish it had a little more cinnamon in it but it was still good. I ordered some fries for my 2 year old and she loved them. Their fries were really good. The service was quick. The parking lot was pretty small though.

I love al pastor tacos and from the reviews I was excited to eat some delicious tacos but left disappointed and still hungry. I ordered 3 al pastor and 1 carne asada tacos and added guac to one of the al pastor tacos. First, they are small. Like 3 bites and they're gone. Second, the meat was thin and dry. The word confetti crossed my mind. Third, they are expensive for what you get. The guac was good but in a small taco that's all I tasted. The salsas were ok but I was hoping at least one would be really hot. To be fair, I do have a high tolerance for heat. Not sure what the hype is about but maybe I went on an off day. Or they have good PR. The staff was nice though.

I stopped in at the restaurant on a Monday night. It was fairly busy and there is limited seating inside. I was able to try two tacos and a Horchata from top taco. The Horchata was very flavorful and actually had more of a corn flavor which I thought was delicious! The tacos I received were made fresh off the grill. The tortilla was wrapped in was moist and just made it was delicious!! the tacos came with three different sauces to try. I think this will be my new taco place!

A quick summary: This place is good, they got awesome red sauce for those who like some spice on their tacos. Though I will say this place is not cheap, you'll be down about $3.50 a taco, and each topping is another $1 on top per taco. Good but you may have better luck at a local taco cart. More in depth: Honestly I didn't plan on coming here, but tacos sounded good and I was across the street so I decided to stop by. The inside was nice, everything was clean and had an environment where you could talk for hours. The people up front were really nice, and even after I sat down they kept coming to check on us to make sure we were okay. It was a really cool gesture and I felt like this place had its customer service down. The tacos themselves were good, they only had the options for al pastor and asada. These ran you $3.50 a pop, with each topping after that being another $1(cheese, guac, and any other topping). But they were pretty good, the tortillas were perfect and the meet was good, my favorite part was their red sauce, it was both flavorful and spicy. All in all I'd say this place was good, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to come here, but you could find something cheaper somewhere else with nearly as good of quality 3.5/5

Great place for authentic tacos! Staff were friendly and helpful as it was our first visit. Definitely will be back.

So this place had really good reviews and I was really excited and they definitely delivered on those reviews really good food. Good environment really great service. Everything was good. I wish the portions were a little bit bigger, but it was good.

Quick to place my order and it did not take long to receive either. Service was great and they were nice and friendly. There is parking so you do not have to park in the street. Menu was not too overwhelming and plenty of seating but I think it gets busy after 5 pm. Decor was simple but nice and the place was clean. They have cute little caddy's that have their salsa in it. They don't serve fountain drinks though. They have some specials on certain days. The loaded fries YUM!!! El pastor tacos YUM!!!!! All in all way a nice place to try.

Loaded fries with asada

Friendly and quick service! This place was very clean and there is plenty of parking in the back. The Al pastor tacos were solid and I enjoyed the salsas they had. The loaded fries were good but I think I was expecting more of "carne asada fries" with real shredded cheese (they used something similar to nacho cheese) and more meat.

Santo Taco USED to be the well-priced value spot for authentic Mexican food..Not anymore…read more And I'm just not that into what they call a birria taco around here..Too much meat, not enough cheese, and to be true "quesabirria"-style they need to be griddled much more (like Del Barrio does). Plus their consommé was a too bitter for my liking. Al pastor here is the much better option - greasy, saucy, tender and flavorful chunks of pork. But these are average sized street tacos, not worth the $4.00-4.50 per price tag. I also tried their asada steak fries, one of the worst I've ever had. Fries were swimming in waay too much cheap, nasty Velveeta-style cheese, NO GUACAMOLE, and not nearly enough asada meat.***It's hard to believe, but an order of these has nearly quadrupled in price in 6 short years, up from $4 to one of the higher prices in town at $15!! But do keep in mind, an $8 half order is more than enough for one person. Salsa bar here is decent but lacked on salsa options, no creamy green or orange salsas here. They wouldn't even grill me onions when I asked, he instead pointed me down to the salsa bar, where raw onions were diced, unrinsed and very pungent, gag. They do have daily specials that help some with prices. Sunday wasn't even on their list and ended up being 3x birria tacos for $10. So the counter service was friendly enough but not very accommodating. Ease of communication was only so-so. The dining room is small, order in back by the soda machine. Atmosphere is more modern than your average hole in the wall taqueria, complete with photo op for the Gram. I was super annoyed that they only have tall bar height tables. And the speaker blasting music was too loud according to my kiddos. I usually agree with Guy Fieri on his picks, but I just can't do it with Santo Taco.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I got a BOGO free burrito coupon from their FB feed, so why not? So glad I did! I had the spicy green chili burrito--delicious! Smothered inside and out with their very fine green chili. The tortillas seem homemade, it was fresh and good. My wife had the carne asada burrito. I got a bite of it and the beef is delicious! Such good flavors. I also had the pinto beans and rice, both are very good. The horchata, made with almond milk, was creamy and just the right amount of cinnamon and sweet. They serve flour and corn tortilla chips with three salsas. The chips were excellent. The flour chips are deep fried, really good. The red salsa was the hottest but not bad for heat. The green was good. Now the crema sauce was my favorite, it is really excellent. Nice restaurant, comfortable chairs, nice decor that goes along with their theme. Looks like a comfortable bar. Service was friendly and accommodating. I would like to eat here again and take advantage of the FB coupon for their tacos. Highly recommended! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. Tiny tacos with subpar meat filled with the sort of gristle you won't enjoy. For $15 I felt ripped off. The burrito was mostly bright orange rice, not the usual light red rice an abuela makes, filled with half melted cheese, and what appears to be canned beans with a sprinkle of that ghastly meat. Not sure what the hype is about but this place is substandard at best. If you're hungry with no options it's better than nothing but really not worth your money at $5 a taco.
