1.5/5 Stars Premium Prices, Poor Maintenance, and an Extremely Disappointing Experience…read moreAfter staying at Red Rock Casino Resort numerous times, walking past the spa countless times, and knowing individuals who work at the property, I was genuinely excited to finally experience the spa for myself. Unfortunately, after years of anticipation, the experience was nothing short of disappointing.
For a property that markets itself as a luxury resort, the spa fell significantly short of the standards and level of service I expected. Nonfunctioning Amenities at Full Price. The cold plunge was completely out of service, yet guests were still charged the full day-pass rate. The remaining amenities consisted primarily of a pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, and dry sauna, neither of which offered anything particularly impressive. The sauna facilities were not sufficiently hot, further diminishing the experience.
Disturbing Sanitation and Beverage Concerns.Perhaps the most concerning issue was discovering what appeared to be feces on a bathroom handle. This is unacceptable in any public facility, let alone a luxury spa where cleanliness and sanitation should be fundamental priorities. Additionally, the complimentary apple juice contained visible floating debris and appeared to be fermented or spoiled. This raises serious questions about how frequently beverages are inspected, replaced, and maintained. Refreshments and Basic Services Neglected Hours Before closing: By approximately 2 PM, snack replenishment had seemingly stopped altogether, despite the spa remaining open until 8 PM. That is SIX HOURS during which arriving guests were apparently expected to accept whatever refreshments remained, if any. Guests arriving later in the day are still paying for the same experience. Why should their access to basic amenities and refreshments be diminished simply because they arrived after the early afternoon? Hot water availability was also limited, and the bathroom was not adequately stocked with towels. I actually had to retrieve my own towels, which is not the level of service I would expect from an establishment charging premium prices. These may seem like small details individually, but collectively they demonstrate a concerning lack of attention to guest comfort, facility upkeep, and service consistency. A Disappointing Comparison to Other Spas:Having experienced Lamplighter Spa, I can confidently say that my experience there was substantially better. Red Rock Spa simply did not deliver the same level of value or satisfaction. What makes this particularly frustrating is my longstanding familiarity with the Red Rock property. After staying here on numerous occasions and looking forward to finally visiting the spa, I expected an experience that reflected the resort's upscale reputation. Instead, I encountered unavailable amenities, questionable sanitation, spoiled refreshments, inadequate restocking, and an overall lack of attention to detail. Luxury pricing should come with luxury standards. Guests should not have to compromise on cleanliness, basic necessities, or access to amenities while paying full admission. This experience was extremely underwhelming and absolutely not worth the price. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues, because the current level of service does not reflect the premium experience this property advertises.
