Came here for brunch and honestly left pretty impressed. Solid spot, would definitely come back…read more Food -Avocado toast was done really well, the avocado was fresh and the portion for this was solid. -Evivva burger was really good, flavours came together nicely and it was cooked just right -Smokey salmon sandwich was a highlight for me, the smokiness came through without being overpowering Service -Our group appreciated the service very much, they were fast and they made sure to come around to check how we were doing. Environment -Atmosphere was very nice, the interior had cherry blossoms around and lifted the vibe in the place -Very clean dining space, felt very comfortable in the restaurant from the second we sat down. Everything was close to a 4.5 honestly, each dish had something that made it memorable. Portions were solid too. Really recommend this place if you're looking for a good brunch spot in the city. Looking forward to coming back.

The food was good. We went there brunch time. It's not good for large crowds. Best for small…read moregroups. For 8+ they had to connect tables of not same height and size, which made it awkward and some times wobbly. The waitress were not paying attention to the whole table and were just asking the head of table. Had to wait for 30 minutes to get my coffee. And did I say we were there for brunch. So you imagine coffee would be served fast.

Hidden in a corporate building and can easily be missed. Beautifully designed space and great finds…read moreas well. There is free visitor parking in the building but you just have to let them know you're here for Vanta. I tried their bestseller/one of their most popular drinks, which is the iced military matcha but I preferred their strawberry matcha! I also tried their raspberry lemonade which to my surprise tasted more like a mocktail made with sparkling water and I didn't really find the "lemonade" taste there, so it wasn't what I expected. It was still good regardless. Staff was very nice. I found the iced Toronto Fog okay. I also tried some of their pastries and really enjoyed that crunch and freshness of their almond croissant. I love that they've got both a selection of sweet and savoury items to choose from, as well as lots of options to go. The sundried tomato savoury makes a great treat and you can ask them to warm it for you. I love the design and space, and although it's got limited seating (which makes sense since it's in a corporate building and I find most people just come to grab and go), I really enjoyed this place and would come back if I'm ever in the area.

Such a hidden gem in the area! Absolutely loved this cafe…read more It quietly sits inside the Mentes building and serves some of the best coffee and matcha in the area. I tried their strawberry iced matcha and the military iced latte and trust me when I say the military latte was the best drink I have had in a very long time. The coffee was smooth and rich yet it wasn't too sugary which was perfect! And the matcha? 10/10. Again, not overly sweet and you can taste the matcha in it. You can sit and work here as well which is an added plus!

The restaurant is on the second floor, and the entrance is on the side of the building…read more It's a very pretty cafe, and there was a good mix of people working there on laptops, as well as couples on dates and families getting brunch. They have an extensive menu, and it all looks really good! We got the Chicken Karaage and Croffles, which really hit the spot if you like sweet and savory food! The Karaage was really well done and complimented the croffles. We also got the creme brulee souffle pancakes, which were well done! However, I do wish there was more of a caramelized top for the creme brulee. In hindsight I do wish I got a more interesting flavor like Ube or Pistachio since they have a good selection of flavors, but the creme brulee was still pretty tasty! I'd say order another flavor instead though. The souffle pancakes also take 20min to prepare which took longer than their other dishes, but as long as you're sharing plates and can eat something else until it comes then it's all good! Staff was really nice and attentive. Definitely coming back and trying more of their menu!

CAFE N ONE . …read more Cafe n One is probably one of my favourite "new" restaurants that I tried recently. Located on the 2nd floor at Yonge and Finch, Cafe n One is a bright, cute cafe serving Japanese inspired brunch items, drinks, pastas and desserts. . . Classic Breakfast 4/5 Chicken Karaage 3/5 Croffles 5/5 Green Tea Soufflé Pancake 4.3/5 Latte 4.8/5 . . We arrived around 10 minutes after open and there were already a handful of people seated. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly except the soufflé pancakes which takes 25minutes to prepare. My favourite was the croffle. For $10, you get 2 big pieces of croffle which tastes great with either whipped cream or syrup. The chicken karaage was kind of dry on its own, but dipping it in the syrup and eating it with the croffle made it better. If you want a hearty breakfast, the classic breakfast is a solid choice. The soufflé pancake was fluffy and delicious, well worth the wait. I was amazed by the detailed latte art as well. Highly recommend this cafe!
