This liquor store accepts donations for magic mushrooms (psilocybin) and I had bought some a couple days ago, unfortunately they had extreme mold on half and when I brought it to the seller's attention, he couldn't care less. Note, in rare cases of aggressive contamination you could die. Be careful with this liquor store, the country boy with darkish hair (short) is accepting donations for potentially poisonous magic mushrooms. read more

New owner Rick is a super nice guy. The store is now Top Shelf Liquors. Rick has improved the selection/variety. The store is much cleaner, more organized and has a better layout. They also use the 5star system which provides nice rewards. read more

The old owners were phenomenal and i loved how friendly everyone was every time. New owner just took over and he is also super nice, but he doesn't tell me good morning and feed me candy The store is looking very nice with the new upgrades...floor and center register area getting installed. Also crazy new amounts of shooters available for people who don't know exactly what they want or prefer a smörgåsbord of flavors. Loved chokecherry before and still love it. Masks not worn by staff despite public health order. Completely inexcusable. Not just below their noses or something, no masks period. Owner is apparently claiming two members of his staff have health waivers so they don't have to wear masks; sorry, but you're putting the public at risk by having these people interact with customers. I intend to update this review to more accurately reflect the current business at my earliest opportunity. --------- There has been a liquor store in this location longer that I have lived in Parker. It is on the edge of the strip mall on the SW corner of Plaza and Parker Road. It is on the north edge, right where cars enter, so it is not a great location from which to try to back out of your parking space. I was in the area and wanted to pick up a couple six packs of beer, and realized I was very close to Chokecherry. I went in and was quickly disappointed. The store is small (but clean) and the selection is limited. The clerk (manager? owner?) was pleasant enough, but his English skills were not good enough to easily answer questions about the merchandise. I finally found a couple six-packs, but I believe I paid approximately $2 more per six-pack than I normally would. read more

Okay, firstly I should tell you that this used to be Chokecherry and I work for the competition but I stopped in today and met the new owner (former Navy) and the place has been transformed. It's neat, clean, and well-stocked. It didn't used to be. We've lived here about 14 years now and we always thought it was a front for some shady business, ya know? Well, it's nice now and they are open from 0800 - Midnight. Those are some long hours and the owner gives discounts to Vets and Teachers. Nice. My husband and I are both retired military and don't need the discount but it's convenient and a lovely gesture. Give them a try! read more

Best liquor store in Parker by far. Open later than all others for your late night needs and the biggest reason I love coming thru chokecherry is to see the man Tony! Along with his other associates. Tony always makes everyone feel super welcome and he has become a bit of a celebrity in this town. If you mention chokecherry to someone in Parker they will reply with "Good Morning!!!" This Parker store always has great Rock music playing. I forget his name, but the guy I usually see there is a real character I always get a "Good Morning"! I like the vibe, and they are open late - which for me, is great since I usually come strolling in between 10pm and right before 12am. You'll love this store! Great all around. read more

At the request of new ownership that took over in Mar 2015, I have revisited this store a handful of times and I can say that the biggest change is in the customer service, which is now consistently friendly and I've gotten an "Hello!" and "Thanks for coming" each time I visited. Aside from that upgrade, the prices, selection, location and overall feel are the same as before. read more

The guy who owns the place is a really friendly dude and has great prices. I really wish I could give it more but the professionalism is really lacking. The store claims to be open from 10am-12pm but I've arrived 5-7 times 45 minutes after they opened\before they've closed to find an empty store. Hours should read "whenever I feel like opening- whenever I feel like closing". I can understand wanting to go home early once in awhile but 5-7 times? It just seems weird to me. read more

This is an excellent store with discounted prices and friendly new owners; it is open later than most of the liquor stores in Parker. This is also the oldest liquor store in parker - so it's historic. It's family owned and the owner Tony is friendly and nice, he knows his liquor and recommends great stuff!
