Just bought the trailer hoist and love it. The secondary runway moves to wherever you need it. I've only had it set up for a week and a half and have had everything from a golf cart to a car trailer on it. My only issue is it arrived with damage on the secondary runway. The lift came from Arlington, WA and I live 26 blocks from the border in B.C. Canada. vHowever, because of Covid, had to hire a shipping company to bring it across the border on a flat deck trailer that was loaded by the staff at Top Secret warehouse and arrived at my shop in B.C 2 hours later. Grabbed my forklift and the slings and off loaded it. Cut off all the packaging and laid out the parts to assemble it.
The next day, assembly started, with the last piece being the secondary runway, that when shipped is upside down on the bottom of the load. When we turned it over to install, it was damaged. So, after dealing with Top Secret over the last week and change in regards to the damage, today I was told too bad, so sad. They say they inspect all lifts when they arrive, and shrink wrap for sale and there was nothing wrong with mine when it left their warehouse, it must have happened it transport.
To make a horribly long story short, when your lift arrives, make the transporter, shipper wait until you have inspected every piece of your purchase to make sure there is no damage. If they have to wait an hour while you unbolt everything from the shipping materials, so be it.
There is no way mine was damaged between their warehouse and my shop. The damage was already on it before it was loaded and shipped to me. It could have happened before they received it and someone missed it on initial inspection. Who knows.
ALL I'M SAYING IS, DON'T SIGN THE PAPERS UNTIL YOU CHECK ALL YOU'RE PARTS. read more
