But I can safely say that greatest wealth of knowledge that I've gained, and the greatest service that I've received in that time has been from Jen at Salty Fins. With over 18 years of experience in the hobby and business, her and Mike have helped me to navigate and progress from my first 13 gallon Nano tank, to now my two pride and joy tanks - 60 gallon and 150 gallon. They've guided me right every time, from dealing with the uglies, managing water quality and parameters, helping build a healthy ecosystem, and doing the best to have tanks that I enjoy, but also provide a healthy habitat for all inhabitants. I spend a lot of time in the store just chatting with Jen and learning, and after two years I'm starting to get a grasp of it, and really understanding how these complex ecosystems work *after they get established*. I made an appointment to have my dog groomed by Sierra at petco grooming,…read more We talked with her for quite a long amount of time letting her know the limitations our Dog has, she has a bad back right leg, and can't stand for long on it, she told us that she loves to take dogs with problems because she said she really cares about her customers pets, she said it would be no problem for her to take our dog in for a grooming, so i scheduled an appointment for 2 months down the road, that day was today May 8th 2026, I had my dog there 15 min early just like the appointment card says to she was not there, so i waited for her when Sierra arrived she asked me what i wanted done and i told her she printed out the work order, but then she said she had to go talk to her manager to see if she could groom my dog, after about 15 min she came back and said she couldn't groom my dog because her manager said the dog had to be able to stand the whole time of the grooming and would not let her groom the dog, nothing like that was said when we made the appointment, you can't trust what Sierra says and the Manager should have at least had the Courtesy to come tell me in person, it was very bad CUSTOMER SERVICE or none at all. as you can see with a 1.9 rating poorly managed and staffed store you should go somewhere else or shop on line.

The employee that helped my mom took her I.D and held it while we played with the puppy. The employee that helped my brother in law didn't take his I.D. When my mom was done she gave the employee back the puppy and my mom spaced on getting her I.D back and the employee also didn't think about it. We are from Salt Lake so the next day we drove home and we were flying out to Puerto Rico a few days later. My mom realized she never grabbed her I.D once we got home. She had to hurry and have them mail to back to her before our flight to Puerto Rico. It was very frustrating.

Another car and I waited about 15 minutes but no one came back. The other car left and I decided to call the shop. The owner answered. He said the sign was up from the day before. Think about that...he left and never came back once, and was never planning to open the day I was there despite hours posted on the door. Next, he tells me retail is only 5% of his business. I was like, "how am I suppose to interpret that?" I guess it meant by business wasn't worth is time. Regardless, this place is a joke.

There is NOT a "only one puppy" policy, we literally played with almost all of them. The staff were absolutely wonderful and very helpful. And our pup hasn't been ill once since we brought her home. The only thing they required from us was to do a fecal test with our vet within the first 72 hours of bringing our puppy home to make sure everything was fine, and sure enough, there wasn't a single issue with our pup whatsoever. Our vet said she's as healthy as can be. Maybe we just got lucky, but we truly are very happy with the service and will be using them again when we decide it's time for another fur baby.

Maybe I'm just too "community over competition" oriented but this experience put a horrible taste in the mouth. Everytime I've seen Kate the owner after she's just very off putting, she's condescending and rude. Not a friendly woman in any form. There are other local pet stores in stgeorge that you could patronize that undoubtedly treat their employees, past employees and customers with more kindness. Also, the owner is VERY money oriented.
