She tried really hard to help whenever she could and was really sweet and polite. But there was just too many issues. The first install team showed up with no masks during covid. When asked to wear them for my safety, they said no, citing that they don't work according to WHO (really?). They left and I called the store. The sub was claiming to them that he has a lung condition. Doesn't match with his story to me and doesn't excuse the 2 other guys who weren't wearing them and said they didn't even have any. The second install team came the next day and what was supposed to be a 2 day job turned into 5 because they were down 1 guy and this one worked SLOW. Multiple times they scratched the new floors when moving our appliances which we paid them to do assuming they wouldn't scratch them. Passive aggressive attitude was given when asked to fix it or he just covered it up so I wouldn't see until later. In some instances he just marked the floor with a black sharpie and didn't even try to make it blend. There's a poorly cut edge under the stairs where the edge of the board is visible where the carpet on the stairs starts. Found it with my foot while vacuuming and really surprised I didn't cut myself. Multiple boards are not clicked in properly. One has a cut from one side to another that I'm being told by another of their subs is part of the texture, but no other board in the entire 900 Sq ft of lvp is that way and no other contractor that has seen it agrees. Just looks like another deep scratch being covered up. There are 2 boards with chips in them. And to top it all off, when I asked the sub to fix an entire row of boards during the job because they weren't clicked in properly, he went outside and got on the phone and started using the f word in my reference telling someone that he had to redo the whole living room because of a f'n scratch. My husband and 2 year old got to hear the whole thing from the open garage. Our fridge was dented (which the company says they've never done and wouldn't acknowledge it was their fault even though the sub told me it was, and they did absolutely nothing about it), they threw away quarter round we were supposed to reuse so we had to go buy new quarter round, and all of our baseboards were broken which they claim they said it would happen and it was in their contract that they won't fix (I was sent the contract and do not see that language). They paid for new baseboards but I still had to pay for install and painting which cost me an extra 1k for another company to do it, much better than what the crappy sub wanted to charge me in cash under the table. Staples left in the carpet and in the grass, pieces of flooring left all over my yard, they stole our broom that looked like theirs but in much better condition (which they said they returned but never got it back).... The company sent out another sub to look at the issue with boards being being clicked in wrong and the chips and crack. He didn't wear a mask except for the moment I opened the door and since the base had already been installed, he said he would have to take it all off to fix it right but other boards may be damaged in the process. Not the answer I wanted to hear so at this point, I just give up trying to fix it if that's all the company can offer me. All in all, we'll never recommend this company to anyone. Most of it has to do with the subs crappy work but I'm really bummed about how little the company seemed to care about fixing the problems (other than Dee). Really thought abbey carpet was a good name but very disappointed.

Brandon was quick to answer my call and fit me in his already busy schedule. He was professional, kind, honest, and fair. I had a vision of what I wanted to do for my stairs and it wasn't easy. The existing stairs were steep with short risers and tall treads, and my wife and little girls were all a bit nervous every time going up and down them. Without completely tearing all the walls down and/or having to extend the stairs into our living room, Brandon came in like an architect and helped design and layout the stairs before he did any work. This way, I knew exactly what he was going to do, got a great visual for how they were going to look, and he was able to give me an accurate and precise estimate. He showed up prepared, and with his mobile wood shop that he custom built. Not only did it have all of his tools, equipment, and materials perfectly organized in it, but it also transformed into a full on shop with a table saw, compound miter saw and table, work bench, drill press, router table, and each tool was connected to a custom made sawdust collector. I knew from the start Brandon was going to produce a quality product, and he did just that. He made a plan, was able to navigate quickly through the typical challenges of this particular remodel, and completed it within the schedule that I needed him to. His pricing was fair and I couldn't be happier using Precision Woodworks as my design-builder for my project. Now have discovered they installed HVAC using poor quality equipment that is failing and leaking refrigerant. They admit to the problem but will not fix unless we "consider" sharing the cost of repairs. Spent several hundred thousand dollars for very sloppy work. Would not recommend. We found 1 butt on the floor in the kitchen as well. The texture was uneven in spots. Broken and blown corners and edges all over. Electrical boxes absolutely filled with mud. (Thomas came at the end and cleaned out some of the boxes. He also left a bucket of primer for me to do a better job before painting, which I appreciated) after painting, my Electrician had to figure out why living room and bedroom was tripping breaker when he hooked it up. He found 2 burried boxes completely filled and smoothed over with mud and texture.

We had done our research and almost everyone was saying pavers are the way to go for a long term, low maintenance patio. We decided to call and receive bids from three different companies. The company that came to give us our first bid didn't take measurements or give us the time of day, but the cost was half of what the second and third bids we were given. Aaron and his team at AJB were the second bid we received. He wasn't the cheapest and he wasn't the most expensive, but he spent a lot of time with us and shared his vision of what our patio could look like. We were impressed with his ideas and knowledge. His vision was definitely more than I had envisioned for our patio and I loved his ideas. The company with the third bid spent time with us, but didn't give us the quality of service that we had received from Aaron. Their bid was a few hundred dollars more and since the service wasn't as excellent as Aaron's we opted to go with Aaron and his team at AJB. We almost didn't get the third bid because we were so impressed with Aaron and his vision, but opted to because the price between the first and second bids were so far apart. We thought a third bid would give us a better peace of mind with the expense. In the end you get what you pay for and we wanted a patio that was done correctly by someone who was knowledgeable even if it wasn't the cheapest. In our opinion cheaper isn't always better.
