Get the pedicure - Skip the manicure. I walked in to Top Nails while on vacation in Orange Beach. Started off with the Deluxe Pedicure for $55. This was seriously one of the best pedicures I've ever had. I would pay $100 for the service I received! A great deal! I then went for the Dip Manicure for which I didn't ask the price, regretfully. The nail tech did a great job, nails looked great - one of the best looking dip manicures I've received. Total price for manicure and pedicure was $125 ($70 manicure?) ok, since I didn't ask in advance I paid it, along with a $25 tip (regretfully). Manicure looked great for 2 days until I got home and started to notice chipping and cracking - on day 3 of a $70 dip manicure? I was already back in Missouri so it was too late to do anything about it other than leave a review. I'll stick with my $45 dip manicure that lasts 3 weeks from a salon here. just regretting that I spent the extra money for the manicure while on vacation. read more

Went in with my mom for her birthday and I am so glad she had a better experience than I did. We both asked for basic mani pedis as we really didn't want to be in the salon for too long. I never expect a basic polish to last weeks but at LEAST a solid 3-5 days before chipping starts to show. Within 6 hours after leaving salon I had a chip and 24 hours later this is what my nails look like and I have done nothing today. There was absolutely no manicure. Clipped a few hang nails, filed them down and then started to polish. No buffing, no cuticle work, no massage, nothing. Immediately I notice that the white tip looks bad. So hurried and uneven and sheer. I asked her if she thinks we should do another coat and she said "no." Did a couple coats of clear polish and was done. My moms ended up chipping very badly today to the point where she removed the polish. It's like unless you're doing gel or dip they do a horrible job just to get you in and out. The most ridiculous experience ever. From the start I was quoted $50 for dip. The lady literally jerked and bent my fingers for 13 minutes. She drilled with the power on high to try to speed up the process of removing my polish. I explained that I'm in blood thinners and I am sensitive. She insisted on cutting my nails down. I said no bc these are my real nails. She said $60 for this long and $65 for French. I was over being graceful at this point. I asked what she would like to happen. Either finish my nails for $50 or $55 for French (it's what I was quoted), or tell me what I owe for sitting here having pain inflicted on me for 13 minutes. Her manager came over and they started talking in language I can't understand. He said rudely , "$10" and waved his hand as for me to go. I will NOT return or refer anyone to Top Nails in Orange Beach. They are all about speed and very rude!! I went to Ocean Nails just down the road and the lady was very nice. Excellent customer service and great job on fixing the mess up from Top Nails. read more

My daughter and I are staying at Fairfield Inn & Suites, and wanted a mani/pedi for her and a pedicure for me. Top Nails is located close; we checked out their Facebook and Yelp, and saw good reviews. We walked in, was seated immediately, and the staff began their magic. The staff are friendly and professional. My daughter had a picture of the designs that she wanted on her fingernails, and showed it to the nail technician. I have seen so many places that have not been able to replicate what we show them, but Top Nails painted the designs with ease and they look amazing!!! Check out the pictures! I called ahead and the man that answered the phone said that i was alright to go ahead and come in. i am staying in a condo across the street, so i was there in about 20 minutes. i walked in and was told to sit and waited for about 5 minutes as the lady that did my nails finished with her client. FIRST OFF I ASKED FOR A DIP MANICURE AND DID NOT GET THAT, but still paid the price of a manicure. The sides of my nails have no color, where she filed it, and did not put the base polish down before dipping my nail into the dip bottle. She cut my cuticles several times without acknowledging it not being more careful. She filed the end of my nail, and you can see from the tops of my nails where the dip is rubbed off from filing. She did not clean up around the cuticle or under the nail or either sides. The only thing she did was drill my nails, file, apply the actual dip, and drill again. No cuticle oil, no lotion, no buffing, no cleaning, no actual manicuring. I would save my money and go somewhere else in Gulf Shores. read more

Overall, this place was pretty good. The prices are hard to beat especially when looking for a good spot to go on vacation. My main complaint was the cleanliness of the place. They do not use bags for the water and my person only used one sprit of the all purpose cleaner before refilling it. Me and my boyfriend did a pedicure and the man I had was super nice asked if was ok a couple times because one time I did jump because I never had one and it tickled ALOT. He did a good massage on my feet and the lady my boyfriend had did a good job because he really needed it so his took a little longer and they came out great!!! I used the peppermint mint scent thing and they had this mask that was cooling and it felt so good I wish he left it on me a little longer, he wiped it off with a warm rag and it felt good. Was down at the coast for a family wedding and three of us went in to get mani pedi. First they said they could take all three of us and put us in the massage chairs and we ended up soaking our feet for a good 15 mins before they started. That was OK, but what really resulted in this bad review was the fact that they kept jumping from us to other new walk-ins which made the whole experience take 30 mins longer than it should have and they even totally forgot about one person in our party so they only got a pedi. My mom and I stopped in while on vacation. We sat next to each other and had a fun time chatting with the two gals doing our nails. I got the gel nails and my mom had a regular manicure. I was pleasantly surprised at the price. I would have paid much higher at home. I felt like it was clean and well taken care of. Our girls were delightful to chat with and made us feel cared for. Horrible experience!! I took my blind elderly sister and it was difficult to get her in and out of the building. When we left I noticed that her nails were still dirty under the nails and jagged. When I called to complain about the experience, no response, no "I'm sorry," or no offer to correct/refund for the problem. I will never return. I paid cash and had to ask for a receipt. She gave me a hand written piece of paper that was less than professional. In no way was it recorded for taxes to be paid. After I left, I had to take her to another salon to have the problem fixed. A place in the same area. We got excellent service and special attention from Salon Paradise. They redid her nails and were so wonderful.
