After my filler appointment, I noticed migration and reached out to have it evaluated. Instead of my concerns being taken seriously, I felt dismissed. I was told that it was "just the way I see them," rather than receiving a thorough or supportive assessment. An attempt was made to dissolve the area, but too much was dissolved. When I returned to correct it, a different filler was used, which left my lips uneven and with an unnatural shape. Despite this, I was told I would need to pay more if I wanted additional filler to fix the issue, something I felt was caused during the initial treatment Communication was also very frustrating. There's parking in a private parking lot, as well as a nice waiting area to lounge until you're called. There's a kiosk available for sign-in, and the space has actually been newly reorganized so that check-in is at the entrance. Love that! As for the lasering. This is my first time ever doing laser, and it seems different technicians give different time frames. At first, I was told to give it about 4-6 sessions, and then other techs started saying 6-8 as I was nearing my 6th. Maybe they all have different ideas or training, but it felt a bit uneasy at first, and I wondered if they'd keep moving the number as I continued treatment. I saw major results after the very first session. It took a second, and at first I thought it couldn't have worked, until 3 weeks in, I just so happened to realize my girly girl was almost fully bald! Haha, I didn't even realize! Then of course, some started growing back in, but that was an awesome result for a first session. Now that I've done my 6th session, I can say that it's pretty great and thorough, but I do have 2 stubborn spots. The annoying thing is that they have you shave before you come in, so you can't accurately show them the exact stubborn spot. I do wish they'd let me come in as-is and shave THERE after they located the stubborn spots, since I am basically spot treating now. They do have the time for it, as your booked window is 15 minutes, and the treatment part isn't even 5 minutes. Everyone is super nice, and people are clean. FYI, they will not do the inner part if you're on your cycle. This happened for my first session. I waxed before, and every wax technician allowed a tampon. Since lasering is less hands-on, and gloves are used, I assumed I'd be good to go with a tampon. But nope! She only did the top part, which I believe is why the inner area is more stubborn, because technically I got 5 treatments for that part, unlike the other parts. There are patchy spots on the top part too, so I know that's not the sole reason some parts still need treatment, but still. Just be mindful of your cycle when booking! I'll be back for my 7th session in about a week. Hopefully I don't need monthly sessions after this one. We'll see! It's definitely great value when using classpass, so no complaints there from me!

I am not a girly-girl…read more Let me repeat: I am not a girly-girl. That having been said, I work 7 days a week, go to school, sing in a band. My average day starts at 4:30am and ends at 9pm. And it has become quite apparent to me that I need some serious Me Time. It has also become apparent to me that my skin, especially at the ripe old age of 35, is nothing to be trifled with. So I have decided that every month, I'm going to do two things for myself: get a massage (yay $15 foot massages in San Gabriel!) and get a facial. I know NOTHING about skincare. My fine skincare line comes from Target. My extensive routine consists of soaping up my mug twice a day and throwing on whatever moisturizing-type thing I had in the medicine cabinet. Zits are treated with dirty looks, four-letter words, and OTC benzoyl peroxide. So I popped online to find myself an expert, and Patty at Tranquility seemed to fit the bill. Boy, were my instincts right. Patty (the owner!) is the type of skincare person I trust. She approaches skincare the exact same way I approach massage therapy-- therapeutically. She solves your skin problems, and solves them well. This is no foofy facial (but it felt damn good nevertheless). She microdermabraded, she exfoliated, she serumed and moisturized and assured me that eventually my dumb stupid acne scars would go away with proper care at home. She was incredibly professional, treated me like an old friend, answered all my questions, and knew her stuff backwards and forwards. She told me what I should do to take care of my skin in the interim, and assured me results if I was consistent. And you know what? I believe her wholeheartedly. The place itself has a relaxing atmosphere and is immaculately clean. Prices are extremely reasonable, and there was no hard-sell for products. I was incredibly impressed with Patty and Tranquility, and this will officially be my Monthly Facial Place for as long as I can afford it. I yelped electrologist and started seeing a lady in Long Beach. She was slow and would never completely clear my face of the hair so I kept looking around. I visited this lady in The west LA area and she was overpriced!!! Firstly, she would bring her screaming 2 year old to our sessions and he would yell the whole time. I would leave with a clear face and headache every time. She would charge me $200 every session. Then I stumbled across Zabil. I went in for a consolation and she immediately started working on my face. She told me of all the clients she had and how she got started so I became more comfortable. Being a black woman, all the electrologist I've seen made it seem like my "curly" hair was so hard to remove. Zabil proclaimed that she had worked on many people of color and had become a pro at it. I've now seen Zabil for tons of sessions. My hair has drastically decreased!!! I would have been done sooner had I been more consistent but Zabil is the best. She uses a roller to calm your skin after the treatment and even suggest purchases soothing cream. I can call Zabil ANYTIME and she ALWAYS available. It's so convenient finding an electrologist who is flexible. I would suggest any and everyone to visit her. Most importantly, she is sooooo AFFORDABLE.
