I wish I read all these complaints would I've never signed on. In the initial first 3 weeks of duplicating documents I already sent, I was ready to go with lender I interviewed prior, but then the loan officer speeded up the timeline to "about a week" longer. They took two additional weeks to get approved and then another week to close with stipulation that I pay off all my creditorsa first. They took the funds form my equity amount and wrote the incorrect amount to each one. I was frustrated and fed up so I paid them out of my own pocket. I took another 2 weeks of hounding them to get reimbursed. Then I rewiewed the wire transfer amount they were supposed to send me and it supposed to be 100,003. after all fees and deductions. But they sent 82,000. without any exsplanation, So I am opening up an investigation. I am glad I got funded, but not easily forgetting teh hell I had to go through to get it. This company has ZERO class. I have never contacted this company or it's affiliates. I have no idea how they got my information. I have no interest in refinancing or taking out cash. I have asked them to stop contacting me over the phone and by text. I also sent them an email asking them to stop contacting me. They continue to call and text me. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. read more

I just re-finance with Cody Mueller and Michael Hagnauer who helped me on my loan. I was told THREE times (by Cody) that my loan would cover my credit card debit of $20,000 and that it would not be approved unless those credit cards debits would be considered in the payoff loan. Cody also expressed to me, " great new!!! I can get you an additional $10,000 in cash to your loan and pay off credit cards as well. That didn't happen... what happened was, I received was a higher interest rate and a higher monthly payment and no credit cards were paid. I called Cody when I was signing the documents and discussed with him the credit cards were not listed on the payoff agreement, he told me again not to worry the credit cards would be paid off within 4 days after signing. I looked today and I received $10,000 (approx) in the bank with no payoff to credit cards. I called the a closing specialist that Cody is working with and she said," she did not receive any information in her closing documents to pay off credit cards. Now my loan has a higher interest rate of 5.25% when it was 3.7%, my payments are $250.00 more a month at a 30 year fixed and I was ONLY given $10,000. My home loan went from 180,000 to 211,000. Why in Gods name would I have done this for $10,000 in my bank!!?? ... I will be re-financing as soon as I can with my bank, and I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW THIS IS A MISLEADING COMPANY! I have never given a bad review, I am a decent person who just got SCREWED by this company because my loan officer lied to me! read more

This is the most incompetent company . They screw clients over. They string them along until the interests rates soar to pre shop a sale of your mortgage the moment you close. Horrible liars. They never do anytging they say. They changes the terms of your refi almost daily. I have no doubt all good reviews are paid or from employees. Run from this company as fast as you can. read more

I have to revise my comments and here are my main issues and points why I cannot recommend Top Flite I was contacted way back in mid March by my previous Broker who had done literally an amazing job on my refinance Lawrence Kavanagh and the process started and I would supply all the documents they wanted, during this time my debt ratio went down credit usage went down and my credit score went naturally up, everything goes DEAD not a word and on June 17th I get a call from Samuel Brazzil who tells me Lawrence has left yadda yadda and he would be taking over my file, little did I know the same yes the same questions and yes gave them the same documents all over again and the excuses started eventually I decided to go shopping, I come to find out that Lawrence is now at Goldwater Bank he gave me an estimate from the $25k closing costs and the 3.125% interest that Top Flite was going to charge me Goldwater's closing costs were $5k and interest was 3% YIKES guys now I understand I can't use Lawrence because it is a conflict of interest I start the shopping process as my credit is now WOW and debt ratio is AMAZING I find a another bank closing costs are wait for it $4k and wait for it interest is 2.625% WOW, Sam told me how 5 star rated they are hmmm gouging like this on all levels hmmm I don't think so, I was still willing to give Top Flite another chance but they kept on spinning their wheels round and round, I still cannot put my finger on it but I am sure they are going through staff especially underwriting as I cannot believe they would not remember the information they had just asked the previous week that I had just answered. I was complaisant and willing to pay more without double checking rates and closing fees if you are reading this strongly recommend shopping elsewhere they are certainly no great deal and the so called 5 star rating is a load of BS and doubt with what is going on that they will be around that much longer. See in one of the comments from someone else they were baited and switched I would like to say this was my case as things just changed time after time I URGE you to shop elsewhere not only will you save it will be a lot less stressful. read more

My husband and I recently worked with Andrew Sheda and his team on an FHA refinance. The process was smooth and they were easy to work with. They responded to my questions and concerns within a reasonable amount of time. Our loan closed a little bit later than expected but that was due to a delay we had with the appraisal that needed to be fixed. Overall, for having not so good credit they worked with us to get the loan closed and will work with us again in approx. eight months, without any fees, to refinance into a conventional loan. read more

I cannot give enough positive praise to Top Flite Financial in regards to my first-time home buying experience. I worked with Douglas Smith based out of the St. Louis branch, and the process was incredibly simple! I was overwhelmed going into the process, but was immediately put at ease once I realized that the team was essentially handling my every need for me. All I had to do was provide the requested documentation, my insurance provider, and we were set! I closed on a Friday and the transfer was completed early in the day, which allowed me to get rolling with my move. This team proved to be extremely professional and knowledgeable. Well now that our home buying experience is over, I think it's imperative that we share our experience with this mortgage company. This all started June 16th, our initial start day for our mortgage process. My fiancé now husband, Matthew Dresden, and I were purchasing a home in Brighton. We only needed financing for half of the cost of the home, even though we were approved for the full amount of the loan if necessary, by Dawn Symington. So, once the preliminaries finished, based on the information we received from Dawn, we understood the process would take time, but be conducted in an organized fashion. We applied for our mortgage on June 16th, with MANY assurances that we would be fine to close by August 7th...a date which we repeated multiple times for clarification. We had sold our condominium and were told we had to be out by that date per our buyer. Our first issue became apparent when Dana, a secretary of Dawn's, requested an employee verification form to be completed a grand total of 7 times from the start of our mortgage process, to as recent as the week we were supposed to close. They requested a copy of Matt's driver's license, which was sent with all viable information...but there was a 164th of an inch cut off from the top of it, so it had to be resent (apparently the bridge top is an important piece of information on a Michigan driver's license). Next there was some confusion about salary and commission statements. Our bonuses are given at the end of the year and considered together with our commissions. But because this year did not yet meet up with previous year's statements, we had to clarify multiple times on Matthew's compensation. The reason the numbers were not concurrent, is because it had yet to be the end of THIS year! It was finally told to us to do this after we had sent MANY PREVIOUS proofs of income, all signed by the principal of our company. WHY WASN'T THIS ASKED OF US TO BEGIN WITH?!?! Instead of running around in circles and not knowing EXACTLY which paperwork they required?? Dawn claims she's been in this business for 15 years. Shouldn't someone who has this amount of experience know what documents would be required of us? All documents they required were given the day they were requested. Not to mention 3 forms of proof that I was indeed marrying Matthew....which I've come to learn is unheard of. On July 31st, Matthew's email was hacked because of an email sent through Dawn's email to Matthew, which he opened because it was labeled "HUD Approval-1." Of course being two people who are anxiously awaiting an approval on our loan, naturally we opened the email. And because of it, all of Matthew's contacts in his email were compromised, along with his information. Everyone he had ever contacted, received the same "HUD Approval-1" email. When Top Flite was told about the breech, the response was "oh we know, our 3 party technical team is working on it." And then proceeded to ask me how I protected my computer, so that THEY COULD DO THE SAME. Not to mention, if Top Flite knew about the breech, why didn't they send out an email to their clients warning them not to open an email with that subject line?? The week of August 7th. The date we had been assured would be fine for closing. The date which we had REPEATEDLY stated was the date we had to be out of our condominium. That date came and left due to our appraisal being sent back to the appraiser, by Top Flite's underwriter because of insufficient comps. Mind you, it went back to the appraiser 4 TIMES due to COMPARABLES. And also Dana, one of the secretaries, was gone for 3 days, and therefore our loan was not worked on AT ALL. One person leaves from the office, and all work ceases to proceed. The appraiser was going to suburbs to find comps for this home, which if you're going to the suburbs, the values are not going to be the same for property found in-city!! We paid $475 for an appraisal that was insufficient, and by no fault of ours. In the very LEAST, we're deserving of being compensated for this clearly poorly done appraisal. So of course, my husband and I were left scrambling to hire a new moving company, because the one we had scheduled did not have the availability on such short notice to change days. Reschedule a painter to paint the whole home, and we now had to attempt to move during the week on WORK days, when initially it was all planned to use the weekend to move our belongings, and not take up any more of our valuable work time. Which had already been compromised due to 7 employment verifications and an email breech! It was at this time that I contacted Dawn and expressed our frustrations. Dawn replied not with an apology, but to request that we have Thursday afternoon available for our closing. I wrote to the CEO of Top Flite in Williamston, MI Timothy Baise, and he never once called Matthew to talk about our experience. Horrible way to remember purchasing your first home. There are no words to express the frustration level that I have had top-flight financial. Let me first say that the branch manager and the secretary are very nice people. With that said the lack of organization as it appears the duplication of effort that I have had to go through the limitless papers and requisitions that they needed seem to get lost in the shuffle. I have been dealing with this for over 60 days. Every time I turn around there either lost things or can't find things or require duplicates.... their processor system is absolutely the worst. Every time I turned around they were running my credit report .....4 times during 60 days they ran my credit report and drove my score so far down then they told me that I would have to pay off a lot of my credit cards in order to meet the guidelines. This is absolutely unacceptable! I finally ended the relationship and went to a large mortgage Broker company in Nashville and within 48 hours they had everything approved and ready to go to processing and underwriting yes..... 48 hours all approved Freddie Mac the whole 9 yards!!! Save yourself two months of aggravation!! it will not be worth it for you to use this company in my opinion they jerked me around and ruin my credit score.
