When I brought her into Britt's, everyone was wonderful. They were very transparent about the fact that she'd probably need to be shaved and immediately informed me of the health concerns we should watch out for (specifically the risk of hematoma) with severe matting, all of which I really appreciated. They were honestly more knowledgeable than my vet about the subject, and told me they would get the most experienced groomer on staff to do the trickier parts. While I usually prefer her hair to be longer than what was possible, the most important priority was to keep my precious pup safe + healthy, and Britt's did a great job with both that and her cut. They were also very conscientious of our COVID needs (I'm staying with two very high risk persons) and were happy to meet me outside. I live in another state so I unfortunately can't be a regular, but I definitely would bring her back the next time I'm here! :)

We had three requests...one dog had a nodule on his head and we asked to scissor cut around it. TThey didn't listen and shaved over the spot causing it to bleed. Request #2 cut to 1/2 inch. Their faces are at least 1 1/2 inches long, uneven and look like they were done by the receptionist! Request #3 cut the tail fur shorter and thin it out. If anything, this was the puffiest tail I've ever seen! I even left a tip because I did t take a good look at them until we were home. We definitely won't be back.

I even saw them write everything down, so there should have been no confusion. To make things even worse, the employee specifically asked me if I wanted a lion cut, and I clearly said NO. Despite that, they went ahead and shaved my entire cat anyway. This was never discussed or approved. It's honestly shocking that something this drastic was done when the request was so specific and minimal. Now my cat is uncomfortable, her coat is ruined, and she's been acting stressed since the appointment. This wasn't just a small mistake--this was a complete disregard for my instructions and my pet's well-being. If you can't follow clearly written directions--or even a direct "no" to a specific question--you shouldn't be grooming animals. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their pet.

I've been bringing my dog to Woof Gang Northville for years and have generally had positive…read moreexperiences, which is why my most recent visit was so disappointing. I brought my 20-pound dog in for a mini groom and was surprised to be charged $85, when I have previously paid around $65. I also find it frustrating that grooming prices are not clearly listed, because I would like to know what I should expect to pay before the service is performed. As part of the mini groom, I specifically asked for his face to be cleaned up and showed a photo as an example of what I wanted. I was not asking for a full haircut. I was told that with a mini groom they only do a little bit to the face and don't really groom it. That was confusing because his face has been cleaned up during previous visits, and the description of the mini groom states that a face trim is included. When I picked him up, very little appeared to have been trimmed from his face. I was also disappointed with the customer service. I had my 7-year-old with me and was struggling to get my toddler's stroller in and out of the store. The employee at the front counter could see that I was having difficulty but did not offer to help. I understand that prices can change and that a mini groom is not the same as a full haircut. My concerns are the lack of clear pricing, the inconsistency between the service description and what I was told, and the way the overall interaction was handled. After being a longtime customer, I left this visit feeling very disappointed. Also, they blocked me on Instagram for asking why their prices aren't listed stating my issue. They just lost a valuable customer as far as I'm concerned. This is my Shih Tzu immediately after grooming. His face was barely trimmed, and you can still clearly see the longer hair around his eyes, muzzle, and ears.
