Unfortunately Glenda's seems to be the last groomer in Livingston county that works with cats. I spoke with Glenda on the phone to have my cat groomed, due to hairballs near his rear end. In addition, I asked to have his nails clipped and ears cleaned. When I got him home and let him out, it looked like absolutely nothing was done. He had some patches shaved near his thighs but was not brushed at all (still clumps of knotting hair), nails were not cut and ears had not been cleaned! I couldn't believe it. I paid $50 for shaving two tiny spots plus a $10 tip (not having had seen that nothing was done). Couldn't believe it. When speaking to Glenda, it is apparent that she is burnt out. It feels as if making an appointment is an inconvenience as she is abrasive in manner. I will not be returning. read more

They say they take cats, but don't do it. I took my placid, happy animal here for grooming. He's the sweetest creature I have ever had the privilege of calling mine. I got a very rude, nearing angry call he was too wild to groom. Honestly, if you take cats, one would think you have some technique and skill to do so. Not in this case. When I got there he was caged next to a bunch of very loud dogs. I wonder why he was anxious... He also doesn't like to be held, a detail I shared very specifically. To add insult to injury, the place was utterly filthy. Gross to be more precise. I wouldn't have known how bad it was unless I had been asked to get him (which I was). To sum it up... inadequate and dirty facilities, rude behavior, and lack of customer service. Never going back. Ever. read more

We have taken our 2 Yorkies there for years. Before Thanksgiving we took them there. We spent $45 each plus tip for haircuts that were uneven and looked like the legs and feet never got touch. Very disappointed in the care they received. read more

If I could give zero stars to comment, I would. God for bid your dog barks, then they are labeled aggressive. We have the absolute sweetest dogs who are only eight months old, they have never shown aggression to any animal or person - ever. They barked in the cage waiting for their turn and I got a call to come pick them up because they are so-called aggressive! What a joke! If you can't handle a larger size dog then state that. Let everyone know you only groom chihuahuas! Don't waste anyone's time. If the dog barks and you get scared, you're probably in the wrong profession!! I have been taking my Pekingese here for years. Shelby does an amazing job on his cut. This is the most efficient grooming establishment I have ever been to. 1.25 hours! When I made my appointment I was told Glenda was going to do the trim. The trim was Absolutely TERRIBLE ! It looked like a 5 year old got hold of a shaver and did the trim. I think Glenda SHOULD be Approving her other groomers work. When a trim is so Obviously done WRONG, then I think Glenda should Personally let the client know and Apologize, and Not let them Discover How BAD OF A JOB they did. read more

Please be cautious of taking your dog here for a nail trim. I brought her yesterday and the Lady cut her nails too short and clipped the nail beds of all her rear nails. My dog was screaming in pain and they didn't do anything about it But kept clipping away. At what point did they not notice that it was uncomfortable for the dog?. Are they that stupid? I finally stood up and screamed in the back to stop immediately and that they were done!!!! I told them to bring me my dog now. Please notice my pictures. Which explains why my dog was screaming in pain. My heart sank. I felt so bad taking her there. The lady told me my dog tried to bite her. My dog does not bite. She is the most happy go lucky dog ever. And she's only one and a half years old. And of all the nail trimming is in her lifetime she has never tried to buy one person. If I was in pain I would've tried to bite her too. I'm taking her to the vet on Thursday so they can take a good look at her nails. I called the owner today to complain and all she said was your next visit can be free. She also refused to look at the pictures of Miley. Getting it free does not not fix the problem of what the lady did to my dog yesterday ("I did not say groomer because she was not a real groomer as she stated )and caused her pain and trauma. I will never go back there. The other thing I don't like about that place that you cannot see them working on your dog like most groomers in the Howell area. That seems kind of sketchy to me also. These groomers suck! Owner included!!! I will tell literally everyone not to go here. They do not care about animals and are bad at their job! I asked for drummel only both in person and when k dropped them off for my two dogs bc they dont like having their nails cut it hurts them. I hear my dog screaming so I peak in the window and theres blood everywhere and shes continued to cut his nails with clippers when I asked for drummel only. I knocked on the window and said I want my dog back NOW give me my dog... she blatantly ignored me and contonued to cut thier nails and just kept going until done and didnt stop.for a second any time they screamed and bled... blood everywhere on him on her on my on his fur on his paws on the floor all over my car and my clothes and my blanket and they wouldn't stop bleeding. She did something I asked her not to and she didnt do it right and then she wouldn't give me my dogs back! I will be going on every platform to review these animal cruelty people. She cut him and didnt even stop for a second to console him just carried on cutting him. Ughh I was crying and sad it tortured them. I asked why she did this when I asked her to drummel and she didnt have a good reason and I said you knew I was standing here waiting if you wanted to do exactly what I asked you not to then you should have spoken with me. She said well he wouldn't be bleeding if you would have let me put chemical powder on it. She wanted to just cute them all short let them bleed and put powder on them and I would have never known. Ugh these people are not to be trusted with any animals they didnt apologize or explain or anything but theh were certainly both frazzled when they were caught being bad people and lieing. I'm so mad and angry poor doggies! I wish I could post the pictures of their bloody fur and paws and my clothes and my car. We took our Yorkie to Glenda's on Jan. 18, 2019 to be groomed. They were told to simply trim back a slight amount of hair by her mouth so it would not affect her eating, instead they trimmed off all of her facial hair, now she no longer looks like a Yorkie. When we called them to complain they simply hung up the first time, we called back again and got Glenda herself this time. We asked for our money back, she very rudely said that's not going to happen, no apology, no concern for a unhappy customer. I would strongly suggest not taking your dog there, they simply do not care about having a satisfied customer. read more

I started taking my dog to Glenda's in 2013, when she was 12. Now she's 15. Glenda and Shelby are good at the actual grooming. It's their professionalism that needs work. I have had good experiences with them - until the last time. When I came to pick up my elderly dog, I could hear my dog crying but Glenda and Shelby were just playing on their phones. They went to get the dog and it turned out she had gone to the bathroom on her (just groomed) self. Not a surprise! If a 15 year old housebroken dog is crying, it probably has to go to the bathroom!!! I have no idea why Shelby and Glenda ignored my dog's cries except that they love their cell phones too much. In any case, when Shelby saw that the dog had soiled herself, she started yelling at the dog! Obviously my dog survived, but the whole thing was very unprofessional. I'm not going back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. read more

I took our 4yr. old Dog, ( Rottweiler - Pit - Bull - Boxer - MIX ) to Glenda's as she had never been 'Professionally Groomed', before. ( Only bathed at Home. ) ~ I was a bit worried about her psychie,.... WELL She loved it! ~ I promptly picked her up when I got the call that she was done, and she *calmly* sauntered over to me!!! :-) It did my heart SO good to see that she was calm, happy, and seemed to LOVE her newly groomed self!
