The image shows a smartphone screen with a Facebook Messenger chat open with Top Cut Comics. The chat includes a message from the business and two responses in purple bubbles discussing Pokémon and Funko Pop collectibles. The phone's keyboard is visible at the bottom, and the status bar at the top indicates the time, battery level, and signal strength.

The store is mainly Funko Pops now, most of the gaming stuff now gone. The owner Mike is quite rude. He threatened to blackball me all over town when I left a negative review on Facebook. But before that, he told me to bring my comics in, then blew me off when I got there. Wouldn't even come out of the office to look or apologize to me for a wasted trip. Just kept whining to his employee that he was too busy. Prices there aren't great either.

They were closed and didn't let anyone know and the sign had the wrong date. Prices are high and communication is low

Amazing selection of comics, but also have card games, board games, toys and all sorts of good stuff.

This shop is AMAZING! I stopped by here while tooling around shops in the west and northwest burbs,…read moreand I was astonished by the selection of newer back issues. These guys had prints that I haven't been able to locate at other shops, and everything was extremely well organized. Books were in great condition, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Very much a "reader's" comic shop, but they have tables set up for your D&D game or Magic or really whatever your fancy is. Best of all, the prices are fair, and you'd be hard pressed to find a better value in the area. I'll definitely be back. I would die for more time to dig through their back issues.

First, their store credit policy makes no sense: you can't use it on "premium" items, which defeats the purpose of having store credit at all. On top of that, when I sold them some premium Magic: The Gathering cards, the prices I was given were for the wrong versions. Because I had my three kids with me at the time, I didn't notice until later, but it felt dishonest and not worth the argument. What bothered me most, though, was how they treated me as a newer customer. I stood waiting for about 15 minutes with my kids while staff ignored me to casually chat and eat with tournament patrons who weren't even doing business at the time. They had recognized me, but still dismissed me while I was clearly trying to complete a transaction. It made me feel like my time -- and my business -- weren't valued. Most of the staff were nice, but the older bald gentleman was rude and dismissive, which really stood out. Between the poor credit rules, the card pricing issue, and the way I was treated as a customer, I can't recommend Thunder Comics. If they want to encourage more sales and playtime in their store, they should focus more on being fair, welcoming, and attentive -- especially to new customers

This store I have to say is my home away from home. After walking in 6 years ago just to look…read morearound I've made friends and have been able to play a lot of really cool games. I stop in every week to pick up my comic books and I'm always greeted with a smile and a hello from the owners. Together they have both created an atmosphere of awesome for anyone who wants to learn a new game, join and ongoing game league or just to buy a few comics. I've never found a better store to get my geek on.

My boyfriend has been a regular at the store for years, and I went with him to pick up his pull list this past weekend. There were people chatting at the counter when we came in, so Carla didn't see that I was with anyone when I entered the store. She was sure to ask me if I needed help with anything, which is a first in the slew of comic and game shops I've been to recently. The shop is set up with different rooms devoted to your interest, with comics in one wing and games in another, and more general books and collectibles merchandise in the main room where you enter. If you head to the back, you'll find space for game playing and where Don is organizing his back stock of comics. The shop on the whole is bright and colorful, and I felt totally welcome to browse. Don and Carla had a nice word for everyone who came in the store, and it was pretty clear that they have a small army of loyal customers. The outside of the store isn't much to look at - it's situated in an industrial-looking strip mall - but don't let that deter you from the checking out their cozy shop. Even if you're not a full-on geek, there are still things for you here - several of their games are great for a game night with friends.
