As it was lunchtime we opted for the lunchtime special of fish (haddock or cod) and chips with a cup of tea or coffee - those who did mushy peas added them. Everything was excellent and freshly cooked, the fish was crisply battered and not at all soggy with oil, as it can often be. Mushy peas tasted as they should without the need to be seasoned.
