That was my 2nd time there and probably last time as well. You can see on the picture how they messed up my hair. It was last Sunday, they were really busy the guy was rushing on my haircut. i waited about 35 minutes and he finished my hair cut within 3 to 4 minutes. After he finished I looked at the mirror and saw some hair in my back need to be trimmed because he didn't trim it, by that time already started another person so I was standing he trimmed it with the same machine. I found so many white hair on me which I don't have at all that means someone previously did haircuts who has white hair and barber didn't clean the machine at all very dirty and unhygienic. A towel over a client.. I've been a client for years abd and they are not the best but do desent job. I ask the barbershop 3 time for a towel and no one e pay attention so I grab the towel just to have the owner and bad attitude towards me screaming that he's the boss and should ask him. So I decided to try this place out again a few days ago because a friend of mine said there's a great barber now. BUT, I was waiting and overheard the main lady that runs the shop, charge 2 people before me $24 each. I was charged $1 extra. What really annoyed me was that she turned off the tv with the pricing (menu) as I was walking up to pay. DO NOT GOT HERE!!! My little brother (10 years old) has been going to this barber for as long as I can remember. He always gets his haircut by Kevin. Kevin is absolutely amazing and makes my shy brother comfortable, hence why he always wanted to go back. Tell me why I get a call from my little brother today CRYING his little eyes out. I ask him what happened and he said the owner lady (NINA OR MENA) at the front desk was screaming at them to get out. I would go 1-2 a week. Always wait patiently,always tip $10 from a "24" cut. Nathan/Tyler always cut my hair. I had went in and the guy in the front named Kevin had asked me if he can cut my hair but I respectfully declined and was willing to wait my turn " 40 minutes waiting" I was up next sat on the chair then was told by the lady " front desk" and " Kevin" saying I wasn't next in line and wanted me to get off the chair after " Tyler" had told me I was up next and rudely telling me off that someone was. This place is a hit or miss because you aren't guaranteed the same barber. I came here almost two weeks ago and one of the Asian male barbers messed up my hair. I told him clearly to trim my hair, not buzz it. He ended up buzzing it and messed it up completely. He even had the nerve to tell me that he couldn't trim it because my hair was too short and he would cut himself. Very, very unprofessional. 11/20/20 First time for my hubs to get hair cut hair. It wasn't busy at all and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. They have signs at to where to enter and where to exit. Hubs signed in and his temperature was checked. The staff are all wearing masks. Chairs are separated 6 ft. They even had chairs outside 6 for distance for waiting customers. The barber did a good job I must say...hubs said barber really took time and the shaver (not that hubs had long hair) but cut was meticulously done compared what he usually had. Terrible and disgusting place. I will never go back again. My little brother has been going here for years. He always gets his haircut by Kevin. Kevin is the greatest! He is so sweet and kind. The owner lady (MINA OR NINA) is the complete opposite. She never greets people kindly. Today we had an appointment scheduled at 12:30. More than 30 minutes passed and we were still waiting even though we had an appointment. My mom goes to ask the lady (MINA OR NINA) how much longer since such a long time had passed, and she lost her mind. She started yelling at my mother and at Kevin. My mother did NOT approach her with an attitude, she calmly asked her and walked away when she started becoming rude. Even AFTER my mother walked away she kept yelling and even PUSHED Kevin because he was trying to defend us. I could not believe the way she was treating everyone. Kevin told her that he was going to cut his hair and called him to the chair. She started screaming no repeatedly as loud as she could which made my brother start crying!! Dishonest business. I called in advance to ask for the price of a mid-bald fade with a beard trim and mustache trim, with nothing done on top. Veronica (on the phone) said $22 yesterday. I came in today. After the haircut, they charged me $40. The front lady's excuse was, "Veronica doesn't know. She's not the owner." The front lady forced me to pay 40 Also, I tasted blood during the haircut because he wasn't careful when trimming my mustache. He cut me on the lips a few times. The experience was so bad and painful that I politely asked if I could use the bathroom to check if my skin was okay lol. He hardly cut my hair and still had the nerve to shave off the sides of my hairline and make my forehead huge for no reason. Left with the same length hair just with a bigger forehead, front and sides that look like a third grader cut them and copious amounts of gel pushing my hair back. I've been going here for a few years. My mom was a beautician and was the person who exclusively cut my hair for most of my life. But as she approached her mid 70's, it was not really in her wheel house to stand and cut my hair for 30-45 minutes, so I looked out for a place I could go to. One thing I want to note is that I have very thick hair and there's a technique called "layering" that makes my hair cut look correct. If a barber can't do that technique my hair comes out looking odd and cutting other parts shorter won't work as it just gets to the point where my hair sticks up. So most of the barbers at Top Barber cannot later properly. I've had 3 bad haircuts before I figured out who can do it right. Veronica is hands down the best barber there. She cut my hair exactly like my mom did. There's no other explanation needed, Veronica knows what she is doing. Unfortunately she is almost always busy, in fact over about 40 visits, this afternoon was the very first time I saw her not busy and today was slow due to the flea market. I'm terrible keeping appointments, so that leads to the next two barbers...Danny and Kevin. Both approximate layering....actually this past visit, Danny used the completely correct technique so maybe he learned. Whatever it is, both these barbers cut my hair correctly. So Veronica, Danny, and Kevin do a very good job. The four stars are for them. Actually Veronica would get 5 stars and Danny and Kevin would get 4 1/2 stars. The rest....at your own risk. As of today Los Angeles County has lifted the majority of mask mandates, Barbershops are no longer required to enforce the mandates but can if they so choose to. Today I was told to put on a mask despite informing and showing the clerk official LA County Public Health revised policy. Seeing as it was their choice to continue with the masks, I asked how long they intend to mandate their clients wear them. The lady's reply was "forever". The clerk was polite, and my haircut was satisfactory, but I 'm choosing not support this or any business that regulates how their clients breath. After all if the staff wants to protect themselves, they can wear a mask and keep up to date with vaccinations. I recommend Original Barbershop just 1 block away. They don't dictate how their customers should breath, support freedom of choice, and I've never had less than an awesome haircut there. read more

Went to short hair struggling to find a reasonable priced haircut $65+ was ridiculous for super short hair. So glad to find an affordable, excellent barber that can do Women's short hair and still be a feminine cut. Ask for Kevin!!!
