I am in complete disbelief of what I experienced at this spa. Once I was charged a "no show fee" when I was actually running late. Despite speaking with receptionist, who instructed me to come in. I drove all the way to the spa, I was informed that I could no longer be seen because the aesthetician had left. As a result of her leaving despite me getting there, I was charged a "rebooking fee". I wasn't upset I paid it because I was late. Despite this incident, I still scheduled an appointment for my facial. Despite how I have been treated recently, I must say that the young lady who performed my facial was professional and friendly. As a result, I booked my second session, since I had two remaining from my Groupon purchase. However, the day of my second session, I was asked to move my time, I said no problem. Considering the inconvenience it would cause me to have to push my second session, I felt it was appropriate for them to refund me the $20 that they charged me last time I was late. It would have been better if they had offered a spa credit or an additional service, anything would have been adequate. I was charged for using their time, but my time is supposed to be free or a favor? That is not how you run a business. Instead of being treated with respect, I was met with rudeness by a woman named Julie. She kept switching back and forth between telling me she handles everything and then when I would ask for something she would say she had to call someone in a higher position. After explaining to her that what was supposed to be a relaxing experience had turned into a stressful experience, I no longer felt comfortable with how I was being treated. So I then asked her to write me a letter for Groupon so I can get a refund through them, in which she replied "I will do it when I have time, I have a million things to do". Today I received an email from Groupon denying my refund because the Spa claimed I was a no-show, when in fact the issue was that they wanted me to push my time. If I had been white, I am certain it wouldn't have been a problem. I found it absolutely disgusting to be spoken to in such a condescending manner as a woman of color. After a year of appointments, I purchased the full body laser unlimited for a year package. I see no changes in hair growth. They run the laser so quickly it can't possibly zap the area. There was no consultation and then when she had already started my microdermabrasion she said my skin would benefit more from microneedling and that they could honor the Groupon price for additional treatment. I wonder why a spa wouldn't want to do what. Best suits the customer before starting? Seems like a money grab to me. She did not walk me through the process at all. Instead, she was rough and aggressive. She left me under a light with my eyes covered, not informing me of how long it would take. I kept thinking to get up and walk out but I stayed. She didn't bother to make another appointment. I didn't tip because I was expecting to feel relaxed and refreshed but in turn, I was very upset. Very unprofessional. While I can acknowledge an effort to "amend things" there was no accountability taken on their part. And to top that off, refusal of service if the review, they asked for, isn't in their favor? I went in for a Morpheus8 treatment. Sue applied numbing cream for about an hour and the treatment took about 30 minutes. Sue is so friendly and she made me feel comfortable during my treatment. I paid for a Dermaplaning and Enzyme peel combo and they instead gave me a microdermabrasion and applied some sort of cream instead that did absolutely nothing form. They tried to convinced me that's what I booked the appointment for. Then, on the following day I remembered our conversation and appointment took place via text message and I was right on the treatments I booked. Contacted them and a darmaplaning session was then scheduled, then canceled, then re-scheduled again. Finally the day came and all Sue did was remove the vellus hair in my face. Still I wanted to give them another chance and scheduled a personalized facial, once again they canceled not just my appointment, but also my BFs appointment that was scheduled for 2 weeks after mine for his second microneedling session. The only reason I'm giving. This two stars is because of the owner or manager Sue/Susan. She's speaks badly about her staff and the IPL service doesn't do a thing. I've had this procedure done before and it's definitely effective so either they don't know what they are doing or the machine is defective. The Hydrafacial is amazing if you get it done by someone other than the owner. They do an amazing job with this although if the owner does it she will do it in half the time and tell you that it's correct if you question it. Clearly she's either too busy or doesn't feel like doing the work. The place I'm elmsford is beautiful but yet if your it getting what you pay for or scammed or timing and dealing with someone who undermines their staff it's worth it to go elsewhere.
