I was authorized additional treatment through the Veterans Administration. I had some lower left back pain and tightness of my shoulders and neck. Dr. Sylvia's treatment brought immediate relief to both issues and actually helped restore my oxygen levels. I was able to make an appointment very quickly upon authorization and the office administrator Carol was very attentive and helpful in my visit management. I highly recommend Dr. Sylvia He for all acupuncture therapy and treatments! read more

I have seen many traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctors--at least forty--and she is unquestionably among the very best. She was admitted to Tsinghua University through a highly competitive recommendation program. Exceptionally gifted in both the sciences and the humanities, she later pursued medical studies, making her talents even more remarkable. While studying at one of China's top universities, she excelled academically with ease and still found time to become an outstanding athlete. She is the definition of an all-around talent. Her acupuncture treatments are highly effective and almost painless, and she also prescribes herbal medicine. In addition, she is surrounded by many exceptionally skilled TCM practitioners. With her extraordinary talent, creativity, and deep understanding of both traditional Chinese medicine and Western anatomy, I believe she has the potential to be among the very best TCM physicians in the United States. She is truly an extraordinary doctor. read more

Dr. Sylvia is amazing at educating and balancing the body. She is gentle and really cares about the treatment that provided each session. I'm always asking questions about the points she targets and she explains to me the why behind each one. The staff is very friendly, nice, and willing to help when needed. I've seen a lot a doctors and she is by far the best. I'm amazed at the before and after results each time I go see her. She provides excellent care and really asks me the patient how I'm doing and what areas do I want to focus on. I will continue to see Dr. Sylvia and I'm telling all my friends and family to go see her as well. Chinese medicine is really a game changer! read more

I came in with severe sciatica. I consented to having Dr. He take pictures of my back -- unclothed -- in order to show me issues with my spine and posture. In further discussion of my health, she casually, "accidentally" mentioned that my body is ugly. She then tried to persuade me to come for weight loss acupuncture. Seriously. I just don't think she is professional. read more

I had gotten acupuncture in my neck about 15 years ago never thought about it for my wife after her stroke in September 2023. I 100% recommend this office. Dr. Sylvia is patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. I came here desperate for results after my face was paralyzed from Bells Palsy. I saw Dr. He three years ago for fibroids, and she was the worst doctor I have ever seen. Her medical skills were not impressive. During the appointment, she spent over an hour trying to sell me Nu Skin health supplements. She showed no real interest in addressing my medical condition; instead, her main focus seemed to be making money by pushing Nu Skin products onto patients. It was a very unpleasant experience, and even now, just thinking about it makes me feel uncomfortable. Dr. He, my complaint is about you selling products during a medical appointment, not about the timing of my feedback. A doctor's primary duty is to treat patients, not to sell health supplements. I shared this experience to warn other patients, not to seek a refund. The public has a right to know what happens in the exam room. read more

TL;DR: It's worth every minute, penny, and consideration if you are plagued by migraines. _______________________________________________ I went to see Sylvia for migraines. I have done the whole thing with neurology treatments - preventatives, PRNs, botox injections, maintenance, massage, exercise, eating healthy, etc. While helpful, it only got me down to having mostly headache days versus full-blown migraines every day, which is progress but still frustrating as someone who tries to do all the things to prevent them. I have had acupuncture before for musculoskeletal and nerve pain from athletic injuries with fantastic success - really the only thing that has alleviated pain when doctors were considering surgery. Sylvia's team got me in the day after I called - on a Saturday no less. I arrived and the staff was friendly, kind, and made sure I felt comfortable as I waited for Sylvia. She came in and talked with me. Among the many things I appreciated about my visit, these were the major selling points for me: 1. She listened. If you have been to doctors for chronic pain, this alone is so crucial. 2. She educated me, telling the what, why, how, and when of the medical issue as well as the treatment plan. 3. She is mindful of my money. I don't throw around $125 lightly, and Sylvia makes it very clear she does not charge that "because she can" or because I am just a number walking into her office. She made her philosophy of wanting patients to come less and therefore pay less very clear. If she can help me in one session, great, she's happy. This is a RARITY to see this in any kind of provider and I was so grateful she is considerate of this. 4. THIS WORKS. I will say that for the next 293420384 points but you get the picture. As someone with chronic migraines, finding relief without medication is a dream. I asked how many sessions I'd need, and she said to see how I feel and what makes sense for me financially. Thank you, Sylvia, for your time and for truly showing up for your patients. read more

The 1st time I visited Dr. Sylvia was in 2019. I was having severe upper right back/shoulder pain for months at this point. Every time I tried to move it jerked me back like a spasm. I tried massages and kneading however, this was only making it worse. Sylvia did absolute wonders on me. She worked on me for 2 hours plus because she said, "I really want to help you". NO DR. IN MY LIFETIME HAS EVER SAID THAT TO ME! Here we are in 2023 and I have never had this pain again. Moving on to 2020, days before the covid/Plandemic lock down I had an accident where I broke my ankle in 3 places, fractured my shin and dislocated my foot. Literal got out of the hospital on February 15, 2020. I was not working so no insurance. I couldn't go to physical therapy because of the lockdown and hospitals were a scary place. At this point I became the 247 Caregiver for my mom. Life was tough and I just dealt with it. In March of 23, I went to Dr, Sylvia in hoped that she could help me because at this point no one else could. I had what I now know is Neuropathy. My feet stinging all the time, feet turning blueish. I was miserable. I spent almost 3 hours in her care, had over 100 needles in both of my legs and feet because it had come down to a circulatory problem now. I also got some herbal powder to take for all issues and it has helped me tremendously! I actually lost 12 lbs in the 1st week and a half. My ankle size went from a 12 to 9 inch (today is 7 inches). I felt more energy and more alive to be able to help my mother without the constant need to sit and rest. I know this review is too long , but I want to let everyone know that if she helped me with so many other issues that are not mentioned here, she can do wonders for you. This may sound silly to some but I am a firm believer in God and when she was holding both my feet in her tiny hands I felt warmth and said to her "I feel like God is holding my feet" and she said "I know" and chuckled. Amazing experience, I will post before and after pics soon. Going back this week to get more herbal med. Helps with digestion, gut, circulation and many other things. If it would allow me to give her 100 stars I would! Okay, I'm done! LOL read more

Dr. He was phenomenal. She took her time and was extremely knowledgeable and proficient in her care. I am definitely going again!

Leaving this review ONLY for the phone call I just experienced but as we all know, first impressions are pretty crucial. I've been calling around getting information about different acupuncture places in the area and this place came up. So I called and asked about the price...the lady says $125 per session, so I ask if they do package deals (FYI - a lot of places do) . In response, I get a condescending laugh and a - "No packages, typically my patients don't care about the price since I'm the best in town and I don't even have room for new patients." Ppppfffftttttttttttt BYYYYEEEEEE. read more

We have been seen Dr. He for 3 years and she made a tremendous improvement in our lives. She is super passionate and knowledge about Chinese medicine. Her tongue diagnosis skill is so amazing that by looking at the tongue, she quickly identified my son's problem and prescribed and mixed that Chinese herbals that greatly improved his sleep. Dr. He also tried acupuncture and cupping on him and we can clearly see his improvement benefit from such an integrative approach. Her clinic has a flexible schedule and she always put patient's needs as her highest priority. Dr. He is not only a wonderful doctor, she is also an amazing person with sincerity and integrity. She helps people whenever there is a need. She helped to organize the donation of PPEs to Houston local hospitals in the beginning of COVID pandemic. She is actively involved with community service and never hesitate to help anyone that she interact with. I will strongly recommend Dr. He! Thank you Dr. He for being such an inspiration and your practice truly enlighten patients's lives! read more

This doctor is amazing! I was told I needed surgery on my knee and and I have been only 3 times and the pain and swelling has gone down significantly and more likely an overall body issue more than just the knee which surgery would not have addressed. I got in right away and the amount of time she takes with me is amazing. Sometimes hours and still the charge is $125 she cares about your overall health and well-being with all natural herbs and vitamins and gets to the underlying source of the symptom rather than medicate the symptom which is most important to me. I appreciate you so much! I'm thankful my friend referred me to you after his neck pain improved so dramatically after only a few visits. You're knowledge is impressive as well. I learn so much each time I am there. Thank you for your love and concern and passion. read more

I went to see Dr. Sylvia to promote speedy healing after my hip replacement surgery. Twas a remarkable first session! I've been around acupuncturists enough to appreciate skill, expertise and caring. This was truly one of the best sessions I have ever had. She took the time to carefully listen to my interests in surgical recovery and she also examined me from a holistic energetic perspective - which I also wanted. Starting with the tongue! (I wish I could upload the before and after pictures after this one session.) She carefully inserted the needles around my hip, augmented with heat and tiny electrical current. Afterwards I could feel how the swelling went down. She also adjusted my overall chi. Finally, she provided some herbs and healing juices. Overall, she took a lot of time to help and set me on a faster healing path. I left feeling energetic and well cared for. I'll be back. read more
