I came to the Lotus Wellness Center a year ago (Summer 2023) a few months after going through several months of chemo. I had been diagnosed with Breast Cancer in the Fall of 2022. I remember being unsure if I could find an acupuncturist willing to treat an active cancer patient. Luckily, I did! From my initial consultation, Dr. Tsai has been incredibly empathetic to my situation and very reassuring. She took the time to understand my complex health challenges and created a treatment plan specifically for me. She has helped treat and heal me as I have gone through a mastectomy, radiation, and now in my remission phase. Dr. Tsai has helped me with so many of my symptoms/issues because of my cancer diagnosis and other issues I have been dealing with for years. She has always been honest with me and set realistic expectations, which I have really appreciated. I just started and I must say that I noticed an immediate transformation after the first visit. I had several issues due to my intense workout regimen. Dr. Tsai has changed my life. I am a 32 year old husband, engineer, 13x Ironman Triathlon finisher, and soon-to-be father of twins. I started seeing Dr. Marie for a foot injury that I was told I would have to have surgery to correct after being treated by a medical doctor. WOW!!!! I love Dr. Marie. I met her in 2001. When I was very sick with infections and other health issues back in Spring 2007, I went to see her for a couple sessions of treatment and I got better. I also took supplements that she recommended, and the entire combination worked out just fine. Back then, I was so scared of needles, but she managed to make me feel comfortable without fear. I just went back to her after all these years (just last month) for severe candida overgrowth and insomnia because I figured that she could help me plus the great news is that she accepts different insurances these days. Note that I have United Healthcare. It fits my budget. I followed all her advices including diet, pre-cautious, and a few types of Chinese supplements, and again, they worked out smoothly!!! They say no pain no gain, but that's just not true when it comes to Marie Tsai at Lotus Wellness Center. I went in on my birthday just to see if she was there and to say hello. I told her about some pain in my back and ended up getting my first treatment ever. Walked out of the clinic without any pain in my back at all. I'm not sure if it's normal to get such quick results but it definitely worked for me and quickly. She's been my acupuncturist ever since. In my case my insurance even covers treatment, so that's a definite plus. So if you've ever been curious about acupuncture and herbal medicine, this is the place! I was diagnosed with endometriosis and had a laparotomy, which is abdominal surgery where the surgeon opens up the abdominal. It is a very invasive procedure. 4 months after the surgery my abdominum was still as swollen as it was the week after the surgery. I had to buy pants 2 sizes larger because my regular pants put too much pressure on my stomach. Because I was so swollen I had to stop all exercise to make sure I didn't over stress that area or the muscles. This was very upsetting as I am a very active person and love to lift weights, run, do yoga, pilates, and dance. During the surgery the doctor also cut a nerve, this is a normal procedure related to the surgery. Because the a nerve was cut , I lost sensation from my belly button to my pubic bone. The doctor said I would regain feeling in 12 months. 4 months after the surgery I was fed up with the swelling and numbness and not being able to exercise. I finally went to see Marie. She said she could help and the treatment would last about 6 weeks. Within the first week of being treated the swelling went down and the scar looked a bit flatter. 2 weeks after treatment I can wear regular size clothing. 3 weeks into treatment the scar continued to flatten and soften and feel confident doing light exercise such as walking, pilates, and yoga. Also I am regaining feeling halfway to my pubic bone. 4 weeks into the treatment I can feel all the way to my pubic bone. The sensation is not as strong as the rest of my body but it's getting there. 5 weeks into the treatment the sensation, swelling, and scar continue to improve. I am amazed at the results and the treatment has encouraged my body to heal so well and quickly. Dr. Marie is the best! She is very compassionate, understanding, and flexible with her schedule.
