He walked us through the process, the benefits of solar and what set up makes most sense for us. He also was able to get us great pricing which was almost 10% lower than other estimates. Paperwork and payment was a breeze! Once the permit was approved (took about 5 weeks after signing the agreement), they came and installed the panels in a few days which was impressive (probably lucked out with availability). The install crew (was literally an army! about 8-9 guys) came promptly at 7:45AM (15 minutes early which was great) and was finished by 1PM. The head of the crew walked me through the process and closed out great showing me the app and next steps. Clean up was also fantastic as nothing was left behind. Currently we are waiting for the inspection so we can start banking the unused solar for future use. But still we are generating over 45 kWh daily (on a sunny day) and our average usage is about 30 (we have 2 EV's) so we are about 150% efficiency which is great. Though we can not bank yet, we are still utilizing solar power so our electric bill for the past week will be minimal. All in all, SUNation Energy is extremely professional, very knowledgeable and customer service seems to be a top priority to them. My neighbor and inlaws are now interested in solar and will be referring them to SUNation and Rob Moser - they also have very nice cash incentives for referrals!!!

I received my first, almost zero electric bill, and have banked enough kwh to keep us at zero cost for a long while. My only problem is that it's difficult not to follow the reporting software on a day-to-day basis. It's a habit I'll have to try to get over. I interviewed 4 solar companies before choosing Sunation. Working with Sunation proved it to be the right company and a pleasant experience. Their on-line programming seemed to be perfect and all the legal stuff was perfectly clear. If I needed to speak with someone, they were always there. The phone is always answered by someone who knows the answer or knows who knows. And since we're in for the long haul, it's good to know that the service line is always responsive. Approvals from the City and from ConEd seemed to be right on time just as they advised. Their master electrician served as our planning consultant for the physical installation and he made sure to seek my input at each step. When the time came for the installation the Sunation crew was amazingly efficient and the crew chief explained everything. The job was done earlier than was promised and with a thorough clean-up. And the system just works, quietly and powerfully. I couldn't be more pleased.

When it was time to pick our flooring, my husband and I went looking for a floor in our given price range. We went to Home Depot and Floor and Decor and picked out flooring that we liked. Alexis kept telling us that she had a place for us to pick out flooring and kept avoiding talking about flooring we like from other companies. Since we were into the project for approximately 8 months already due to COVID, we decided to go with her contact. We wound up picking a floor with their contact, but we're concerned about how thin the flooring was since it was going over tile that was under our original pergo We were told not to worry about it and that they would make sure that everything was done right. About a month after install, the floor started buckling. We callEd All Island to ask Jay, the owner to come take a look at the floor. He said it would cost us $7,000 to redo the floor. We explained that we had reservations about putting this thin floor in, given our circumstances and that Alexis assured us that it would be fine and they'd take care of it. Jay told us flat out that he would replace it for another $7,000. Since then the floor has been separating in many places and even sticking up. We cut our feet on it and my husband had to tape it down. Since we only looked at samples and don't know the company they got this floor from, we have no warranty on it and have to redo the entire floor ( in four rooms of my home) costing us $9,000 more only four years later. The reason we waited these few years was because we knew it was going to cost a lot to redo this floor. Now we are in the process of getting it done right at a big cost. Home Depot professions said they don't even sell less than 8mm thick flooring, but All Island installed 5mm even after our concerns. I have many pictures of this disaster. When Jay visited us, he went around our kitchen kicking the planks to close up multiple gaps. The flooring was a big part of this disaster, but there is way more that happened with the crew that was working on our project. Paint splatter on our brand new windows and screens, holes left in corners of the room, kitchen cabinet handles screwed in crooked, grout started falling out of the backsplash tiles, and I could go on. Wish they would have done right by us.

Their work was subpar for they left very inexperienced workers to do the majority of the work. Shower head loose and dangles. Slow leak behind tile, did not leave expansion joint in floor tile. Grout residue all over tile, vanity not anchored into studs. They also ignored the grounds on the light above the medicine cabinet. I brought in a difficult to get super experienced bathroom remodeler and he said the job was a disaster and they had no business bidding on it. I knew this and did not make final payment. Looks like small claims in the future. This contractor I have now i initially wanted but was too busy, I should of waited for him to have time. He arrived and did a wonderful job! So please do not hire these people. you are very likely to be sorry if you do. A neighbor apparently hired them a while ago and they also tried to up the cost mid project. We had called 2 more roofing companies to get quotes, and they actually went up to the roof to access and then came back with quotes that are cheaper. These 2 other companies even said we don't need new roofs and still have another 8 years of life in them. I would not use them as they are not professional and do not care about their customers and only looking to make the big bucks and don't want to do small jobs like repairing shingles.

For many months after the job, I found roofing nails on my driveway and lawn. I assume these escaped the crew during the work, and later blew off the roof and/or came down the gutters & leaders. Could probably happen regardless of the best intentions of the roofers. I don't hold this against Babe Roof. 2. If the roof work is "one and done", Babe Roof is a fine choice. My one beef with Babe Roof: they won't come back for subsequent repairs. A couple years after the roof replacement, a leak developed around a skylight. I called Babe Roof first, thinking we had a relationship I was told the boss would call me back. They never did. A few years later, I needed a small roof vent removed and closed up. I called Babe Roof first, and was told they don't do repairs and couldn't refer me to a contractor who does. My advice to anyone seeking a roof replacement to ask about subsequent repairs. Ideally they put an affirmative response in writing. Better yet, after receiving the proposal, call the contractor and tell them they replaced your roof a few years back, and you'd like them back for a repair. If they respond with "sure, let me look up your account", you found a good one.

Makes the house look much better and everything was cleaned up, no debris was left. You wouldn't even have been able to tell any work was done. I recommend using them if you need gutters. The price was reasonable. I also checked the gutters the next day and realized they put like a gutter guard mesh screen on them, which was a welcome surprise. We have had issues with the old gutters getting all clogged up with leaves and had to have them hosed out. Hopefully these screens will solve that issue.
