Kudos to the GM at this store for providing a remarkable experience. After shopping around for a new grill, I decided to give Ace Hardware a chance. Free assembly and free delivery helped with my decision. The GM said he would try to deliver same-day and, in fact, he arranged for deliver about 30 minutes after I returned home. Love their slogan "Ace is the place" and it will be for me for future hardware needs. read more

I came to this location at 8:30am on a Sunday. The store was clean and easy to navigate, and I was greeted when I came in. I had a couple questions on where some items were located, and the associate that helped me was very quick to point me in the right direction. Overall a really positive experience and I was in and out of the store in under five minutes which was wonderful. read more

I love this location. . . it's clean, always stocked, easy to get in/out of, and best of all the customer service is top notch. I was already obsessed with University Ace, but my latest experience took me over the top. I ordered a new keyfob to be programmed after buying a newer used car that only came 1 key. Once i received notification from Ace that the keyfob came in, I returned this morning at 7 AM to pick it up and get it programmed. Upon trying to program it, the Technician, Leslie, was unable to get the car out of 'programming' mode for some reason. After 1.5 hours of her multiple attempts and getting back up from her Manager, even disconnecting/reconnecting the car battery, they committed to calling the manufacturer and offered to take me to work why they worked on it. I get a call mid morning that she removed and took the battery to an auto parts store to be tested where it was found to be bad/dead. She left it for 1-2 hours to see if it could be charged and was planning to return, reinstall, and try programming the keyfob again. She returned to the auto parts store to pick up the charged battery and found it was bad. She immediately called me to let me know the findings and then offered, if I wanted, to pick up a new battery, install it, and reprogram the keyfob again. I just received a call from Leslie that my car is ready with new working battery and two working keyfobs. Customer service doesn't get any better then this. . . and THIS is why University Ace Hardware is my favorite store of all time!!! Leslie is a stellar employee that Ace should be very proud of . . . I have been to this location several times to pick up items for myself and for friends. I have always had a pleasant experience here and was always properly greeted and helped. I would say it is not hard to find an employee if you needed one, especially one that is knowledgeable. One of my most recent experiences I had gone to get a copy of a set of keys and was immediately assisted. They also explained to me a few things that I did not know about car keys. Pricing wise, the keys were reasonable and they have a pretty decent selection and some really cute designs! Definitely would visit this business again and again! read more

I've shopped here a long time and often enough to be a gold member. Walked in on Monday the 7th around 11:30 and two employees weren't wearing masks. One was wearing a flipped up face shield. When I asked another employee why, she shrugged and said he didn't like it. How can you brand yourselves the neighborhood hardware store if you don't take the safety of your neighbors seriously? Gotta say we purchased a bunch of lighters from ACE when they opened because they were cheap. Not one of them worked. This is mimor complaint but shows lack of caring about what they sell. I give them 3 out of 5 to be nice. Should be lower because of their prices but I wont go there. read more

In these times ACE in Alafaya , Orlando Florida is price gauging, I will never forget. I been a loyal customer for more than twenty years and I recently purchased a small 1/2 gallon Clorox's container for 6.59 (more than doubled the price of WM)after getting home my wife noticed the price and ask me to return it, I went back to the store and the young lady ask me to wait while she got the manager, a rude middle age lady forgoing all pleasantries Told me she "could not take Clorox back" I told her that it was not opened , in witch she replied Nope. I when prepare to purchase my usual seed and some screws (for a TV on the wall project) and I was stunned, I then turn around towards the exit not before telling the rude manager ( and I am sorry I didn't ask her name)that she just lost a loyal customer. It is a shame during this trying times ACE is taking advantage of it's customer specially being a neighborhood store, many times I decided to give business to your stores knowing that I was paying more Than Home Depot or Lowes because of that. Improperly trained at key-making. Andre was the only helpful one. Key was ordered no problem. (2018 Camry SE is what I initially said) when key arrived they called and said it was ready. When I arrived the woman assisting was rude and insisted on accepting a blank unprogrammed key because I "paid for it". Then was told they don't have the correct equipment. Was sent home. Was called next day and informed that they figured out how to do it. I come in. They improperly cut the key and have to order a new one. Negative experience and hope management will make a change. read more

Had excellent service. I cannot enter the store so the manager came out to my car to get my payment and my car remotes that needed batteries. They installed them for me and was back out within 5-10 minutes. The cost was great and the service exceptional and exceeded any expectations I may have had. The staff are super nice and very kind and helpful when a doofus like me comes in and has trouble even articulating what the hell it is she wants to buy. I can say something like "I don't want anyone to put my outside Christmas tree in their trunk and make off with it" and then boom, there I am, buying tent stakes and a chain. I prefer this size store to places like Home Despot or Low's, where I have wandered for hours just trying to find a whatchacallit, that thing that fits over the hole with the doojiggy that you plug lamps and things into. read more

SHOPPERS BE AWARE !!!! DO NOT BUY AT ANY ACE STORE SPECIALLY THIS ONE! Two and half weeks ago, I bought under the cabinet light for my kitchen. I came to the store to return the lights and told the cashier that I lost my receipt but if she could check the purchase with my credit card. She stated that the only way is through the loyalty program.  She called her manager Dan and he stated the same thing. I told them that I didn't want my money back but store credit for my lights, which were still in the package by the way (brand new). He stated that ACE is independently own and they will not credit anything for me. I guess their Flintstone-aged system showed that no lights were sold. I said "Well, I bought it here" and Dan said, "Maybe you never paid for it." Accusing me of stealing! At that point, I realized it was not worth it to lower myself to someone with no skills and a total ignorant. HOME DEPOT AND LOWES' are HASSLE FREE. No receipt, No problem, and they give you store credit. At ACE, if you don't have a receipt, you are SCREWED!! I guess I will take my business somewhere else from now on. read more
