I believe it was the owner and another employee working and they could not have been more friendly. Immediately giving us free samples of the mozzarella that they make fresh daily which was DELICIOUS. We got some frozen lobster ravioli and sauce to go and the owner was nice enough to prep and bag of ice and package it for us as we weren't going to be back home for a few hours. Made it last night and it was so good. Our standards are high as we live in arguably the best food city in the world. This spot was epic and I wish we had one more accessibly in the city. Also lol @ the guy pissed about the ambiance. What are you expecting? This place is authentic and I'm happy to see a traditional Italian deli staying true to its roots.

(Although maybe the mold on my sandwich confused the guy thinking he already added green to the sandwiches). Ok. Snide remark but I'm pissed that I spent $35 for two sandwiches and a bagel ;and 2 of the three were inedible. When Corbos was across the street this deli was great. Now not so much. My only small critique is that the bread was very soft and the eggs were falling out a bit, but I also did not ask for it toasted so that may be on me. The bacon, egg, and cheese on white bread was good as well. The only downside was that it was very lightly toasted, almost not toasted at all, and it used bacon pieces instead of strips. Overall, this is an excellent local deli with quality food, generous portions, and a welcoming feel. I would definitely recommend stopping by, and I will absolutely be back.

This must be its Fairfield County cousin. I've only been here once but was impressed by the quality and range of the products on offer.
