But in the past, it's always been replacing a windshield (or a side window since) and I've never used their "repair" feature until today. In a recent trip a stone hit my windshield on the highway and created a chip, which spread into a very small crack. My understanding is their threshold is the entire damage must be the size of a quarter or less, which it was. I was able to book a same day appointment, went in, and they took a look and told me it shouldn't be an issue. The quoted me 45 minutes, and I was out the door in about 20 minutes. Once again they did a fanatic job, quick and friendly service, and now the chip and crack is not even noticeable. Every situation may be different, but I continued to have nothing but positive experience with Safelite having used them in several different states (including once while away from home traveling).

The last two cars were undrivable. My insurance recommended Gerber as an affiliated shop that has good communication. They are smaller sized shop Rick /Rich did my estimate and was able to adjust. For the rear view camera cover that was damaged in the same collision the jacketed spare tire lug nut was also damaged. But I plan to replace them all with solid chrome so that didn't matter to me. Just be aware if you use this location they are usually 3 months out. And that they will not order your parts till your vehicle is in the shop. Due to lack of storage and to secure that they make sure that the customer doesn't switch shops at the last minute (so they don't ever have to mail back parts) 9/2023 Ambiance 5 nice waiting area. Service 4 expect to wait a week or more for bumper/ covers replacement I came back for some extra painting on a Monday to color match the fog light trim it looks great now. Hope it lasts. Location 5 nearby small shop very little extra parking so schedule an appointment for estimate. Value 5 my insurance didn't cover a rental. But I didn't need to go anywhere for a week. Thankfully I have a great neighbor who was able to give a hand.

(I did not think about the effect the Florida heat would have on it). I called one of the competitors and was told I would have to pay my thousand dollar deductible and I was better off going with the cash price. I then called Auto Glass To Go and they advised me that I could go through my insurance without having to pay my deductible due to a law in Florida. They even said they would talk to my insurance company for me and help with the claim. They were professional, efficient, and extremely responsive. All without having to leave my house. I hope I never need to have my windshield replaced again, but if I do, you can bet I will use Auto Glass To Go.

They scheduled me the next day and they come to you (e.g., driveway, work parking lot). Two men did the entire front windshield replacement and worked together like a finely tuned machine! One man worked on removing the old cracked glass the other prepped the new glass. Remounted the rear view mirror and re-installed my Ez -pass, then wiped the glass clean. In a half hour they were done! Total was $280 but I am sure new cars with lane cameras may be more especially if camera calibration is needed (maybe $250 to recalibrate)
