Tony V's is our go to for a beer or for a delicious quick meal. We've tried everything from their pasta dishes to their pizza. They also have some great local brewery beers on tap. The bartenders are so kind and are super attentive. The outdoor patio is nice and has a decent amount of seating. The bar itself is small, but there are plenty of tables for dining in or grabbing a drink. They also do a lot of take out business.

Tried the pepperoni and sausage pizzas here from a carryout order and I thought the food was alright. The pizza is full of toppings with a nice braided crust and isn't too salty.

We went there for a late supper on a Friday night, but did not stay. There was smoking in there, so we promptly left.

It has that true mom-and-pop, local favorite feel that makes you want to keep coming back. Being located right in downtown Cary gives it even more character. The deep dish pizza is fantastic, with a really interesting twist of hot honey that takes it to another level. It's different in the best way. If you're planning to dine in, make sure you give yourself plenty of time. The line for a table can get long, but the staff works incredibly hard to seat everyone as quickly as possible. If you're in more of a rush, I'd definitely recommend carryout--it's absolutely worth the wait either way. A true local gem.

I had a long commute home, so I left it uncut. It smelled so good, I wish I could have had a piece in the ride home. When we finally made it home after his long bus ride, I cut it and heated up a few slices at 250 in the oven. It was delicious....it would certainly be better fresh. Super crispy crust, sweet sauce without the typical tomato chunks like Lou's would be. Excellent cheese pulls and really flavorful when all the notes are combined. (About $23) The signage is not the best at night, so know it's attached to a meat store, deli like. Once I figure it out I went in to wait. The place was packed at 7:30 on a Wednesday. The bar is in the center left, with the to go pick up at one side. The tables flank all 180 degrees of the bar. Lots of people. Worth the hype, excited for the next 3.5 years of my son playing Cary Grove so we can try the Uncle Jerry's hot pepperoni pizza and the spinach as well. Check them out!

On Friday night, May 15 coming home from Lake Geneva we took rte 14 specifically so we could stop here, sans reservation. Sat at the bar and kibitzed with bartender, Kyle. My wife had Tagliatelle al Bosco which she raved about and I had my often go-to, pizza. In a moment of insanity I added anchovies. Pizza was, as usual, very good if not extra salty. Not their fault, mine. Kyle recommended the dessert of something ('Italian-sounding') fried, with very mild cheese inside which was terrific. Had a very good time, as usual. I enjoy this place. Four stars is 'exceptional' from me.

We ordered the bruschetta and charcuterie board off the happy hour. The charcuterie board was just a meat & cheese board- it was good but don't except something grand. The bruschetta was delicious, some of the best. I love that the toast is thin so you can taste the tomatoes and cheese more. For main entrees my mom got the chicken parmigiana with rigatoni noodles and I got the lobster ravioli with no spinach. I loved the lobster ravioli and will go back just for this dish. I was not a fan of the chicken parm.

The draft beer is always cold, and they've got a strong case for one of the best sports bar setups in McHenry County....plenty of TVs and a great place to catch a game. We've been to Kelsey's lots of times and have always enjoyed their basement holiday and event themes. I thought I had reserved a table in the ever popular basement, but it turns out that on this busy Valentine's Day I accidentally requested a regular table upstairs. But to me, on special occasions, only the basement will do. I asked what, if anything, was available in the basement. The hostess responded that all they had available was a table in this awkward little room. So she took us downstairs just past the bottom of the staircase. It turns out to be this secluded little private alcove just before you enter the bar area. It was the absolute best. And the food, steak frites and patty melt, was very very good. If you go, request Ed & Mary's Awkward Room in the basement!
