Driving up to the venue, it was nice, but it didn't have quite the "wow" factor that the online photos and videos had led us to expect but it was the customer service that was the biggest disappointment of our visit. We had a scheduled appointment to tour the venue with a staff member. Throughout our entire meeting, she remained seated and wore sunglasses the majority of time. She never offered to walk us through the property or show us the different areas of the event space. Although she had printed pricing sheets sitting in front of her, she initially told us that all of the pricing was available online. While that is true, my daughter eventually had to ask for one of the printed sheets that was already on the table. Since we are just beginning the planning process and had not yet selected a wedding date, we understood that an exact quote could not be provided. However, that should not have prevented us from receiving a proper tour of the venue and learning more about what it has to offer. I eventually asked if I could walk to the ceremony area in the back of the property. The GlassHouse Staff Member said I could, but she did not accompany me or provide any information about the space. As I walked through the ceremony area, I realized it simply wasn't the atmosphere or experience we were looking for. We drove a considerable distance specifically to tour this venue, so the lack of engagement and hospitality was disappointing. A venue tour should leave prospective clients excited and inspired. Instead, we left feeling like our appointment was an inconvenience. During our conversation, the staff member also mentioned that the venue is already booking events into 2028. Congratulations on your success--that certainly speaks to the venue's popularity. However, every prospective client deserves the same level of attention and professionalism, regardless of where they are in their planning journey. Based on our experience, this is not the venue we will be choosing for our daughter's wedding/reception.

If you want your wedding day to be memorable for the right reasons and your vision to truly come to…read morelife, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere. While the staff may seem friendly at first, the hidden fees and last-minute charges are incredibly distasteful. No couple should have to face hundreds of unexpected costs just days before their wedding. The predatory, nickel-and-diming approach is the last thing any newlywed should have to experience.!

Parking on site is limited (~10 slots) and most folks had to park on the streets. The city-owned and operated facility has the one space for table setup, think a large living room space. It also has a kitchen and restrooms. There was ample room to set up a 'stage' area and to set up the food buffet. We are responsible for cleaning the place after use. That means, make sure all the trash is placed in the provided large trashcans. If you need a place for a small party, this might work for you.

Apparently they moved it from its original location and now it's next to the zoo and u think it's actually owned by the zoo. It has a very very vintage feel almost spooky lol but it was a very fun experience! My daughter had a blast and I will definitely be bringing her back! One last thing, parking is a challenge! We parked in the zoo free parking next to the brackenridge park and it was so crowded and busy! We eventually found parking. I still highly recommend!

The service was chaotic, with our server eventually having to make our drinks himself, which took fifteen minutes. Our appetizer arrived before our first drink. The sea bass was soggy and cold, and I could barely eat it. The dress code is very strict: ladies must wear a dress, and men must wear a coat and tie in the main dining room. While this isn't inherently a problem, the service and food quality were lacking this evening. If invited again, we will kindly decline. No phones allowed! Thus, no pictures.

Hello I am leaving the rating of very dissatisfied for a few different reasons. I was also very disappointed in the dinner that was provided for the VIP event. I was under the impression that it was going to be a nice sit down dinner, and for the VIP dinner we paid 298.00 for two people to have to stand in a line (that took us a while to find) to get a plastic container with a chicken salad sandwich and a bag of chips (oh and we also got one cookie). Also Beer was free, but you had to pay $2.00 for a very small cup of pink lemonade. We were also supposed to attend a seance, and it ended up being a medium speak about a couple of people on the other side that had lung problems. Once that was done we were able to go walk around the house for a short amount of time and then get sent home. We also two shirts (which they didn't have one of our sizes), and two baseball type hats. Once in the house we noticed that the house was very dirty, and there are many spots where I feel that someone is going to get hurt or sick from being in the house. There are spots in the floor were someone is going to fall through, there is a lot of mold due to lots of water damage. We also didn't feel like the outside was sanitary either. Not far from where they were cooking there were chickens and roosters running around. The bathrooms in the milking barn were In Shambles the ceiling looking like it was about to cave in, and the bathrooms all smelled like poop. In total we paid $324.00 to listen to people promote their books, and just tell a couple of stories. If feel this experience was very overpriced for what you got, and possibly a risk to our health being exposed to so much dust, dirt, and mold. I would not recommend going to this event, and I feel that the fire department needs to go check out the entire place for fire hazards and possibly injury to those that visit there. As a matter of fact I am probably going to make a call to the local fire department, and I also feel that the animals need to be checked due to the conditions that they are living in. My family and I will not be attending another event to this place again, and I suggest that you don't take your family there either!

The reception hall is very spacious with room for dancing and was beautifully decorated and although we did not utilize it, there is also a large outdoor deck for dancing as well. When I first saw the inside of the chapel, I just couldn't contain my emotions...it is absolutely lovely! And the fact that the location was easy for my guests to find and was only 20 minutes away from our house was a huge bonus too! I cannot thank the staff enough for being extremely attentive and professional the day of and throughout the evening. The dinner service was so nice and all of our guests loved the food, the vibe, and the entire experience. We had our Pastor give a blessing over my daughter in the gazebo area and it was lovely and the trees provided just enough shade and breeze to make the heat very tolerable. The private dressing room was PERFECT for the court to change for the surprise dance and have a little place to cool off when they got hot dancing. The staff kept the restrooms super clean throughout the night and were always around, so I never had to look far when I needed something (which was quite often). I was always met with a smile and outstanding attitude. Whatever the future holds, I can't wait to book another event here. We are grateful for such a special venue and epic party! My baby had the night of her life!
