The thrift store is run to support their work in Paterson and other low-income areas, and to programs for substance abuse or at-risk children, a fact that some of their employees are rather proud of for good reason. I would rather my donations go to support local communities than the pockets for people who create 'non-profits' for their own gains. My age, things like Liz Claiborne and Ann Taylor dresses & blouses. I found a great pair of Michael kors pants, too. But my absolute favorite find was a pair of Sergio Valente jeans from the very early '80s that I coveted when I was young. I never had them, I wanted them, and they fit! They look brand new and we're only $7.99. My daughter bought a whole bunch of stuff including a really cute hello Kitty sweater. We got so much stuff. We overfilled the bag and still only paid 60 bucks. I can't wait to go back, there is so much stuff. You do have to wait on a long line to check out. However, I thought it was worth it considering how much we brought home.

Each area of the shop is well curated and items are displayed with thought and care (I thought the basement was organized well IMO). I spent about an hour and a half at Valley Vintage to hit all of the areas, and some time was devoted to flipping through their records. This was well organized and some good finds. I ended up buying a copy of the original soundtrack from The Man from U.N.C.L.E. on vinyl for around $13. It was in good condition and plays. If you like nostalgia and vintage shopping, visit this spot. You may find something one-of-a-kind that appeals to you.
