He listened to exactly what I wanted with cut and color, asked questions to make sure he and I both knew exactly what I was asking for, offered tips and recommendations, and taught me how to take best care of my hair. He truly knows what he is doing and he is extremely talented at bringing to life his art. I also really enjoy the atmosphere at the hair lab, as it's very moody and elegant and clean. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and it was pretty easy to make my appointment. The price is well worth the service as well. I look forward to trusting Jacob with my hair again soon - which is a huge deal for me having grown up in fear of trusting hair dressers with my curls.

What I left with was a chemical war zone on my scalp and hair that looked like it had been through a haunted car wash. The stylist completely botched my color. It was patchy, uneven, and flat-out fried. I looked like a spaghetti squash that had been left out in the sun. Worse. I went back to give them a chance to fix it and it somehow got even worse. The stylist acted like they had never seen a toner in their life and honestly seemed like they were not in a sober state to be handling bleach or scissors or any other living creature for that matter. I ended up going to another salon just to undo the damage and they were horrified at what had been done to my hair. After spending over six hundred dollars and enduring two appointments from hell, my hair is still damaged beyond repair. Think straw with commitment issues. Do yourself a favor. If you value your hair, your time, or your dignity, run in the opposite direction. This place should come with a warning label and a fire extinguisher.

And I was greeted with an offer for a drink and gladly took a hot coffee on a freezing day, which was a great way to get started. I've been with her for over 15 years, so why not follow her. The reason I like Cate so much, is that she hand scissors my hair and only uses a clipper to trim up my neck line. So many stylist use clippers with attachments when doing a mans hair and I do not like that. To get a quality cut, my hair has to be cut with scissors. Why I said it was a primo location, it is located next to Louie and Sasha's, so you can have lunch or go to a relaxing Happy Hour. On the other side, you've got Kaldi's for a good cup of coffee.
