The platter was so artistically prepared that I didn't want to eat it (but I did eat it because I was hangry--so much so that I forgot to photograph it). It's a fantastic street in anycase, but this place is a good start. Great signage, posters and stickers inside. Cologne very much reminds of Berlin and this Falafel place has a aurora of hipster about it. I shared a Falafel and Shawarma plate ( better if sitting down I think). Good portions. Think I preferred the Falafel over the Shawarma which wasn't piping hot or spicy actually. Had yogurt drink with it from the fridge but you probably don't need it as each dish comes with yogurt anyway. It's cheap though and a popular place so worth checking out. Meine subjektive Bewertung: Wir waren heute das erste und auch letzte mal in der Kurve. Das hat aber absolut nichts mit dem Essen, als viel mehr mit dem schlechten Service und der Organisation zu tun. Es fing schon vor der Tür an: Etwa fünf Minuten vor der Reservierung war draußen ein großer Pulk an Menschen versammelt. Mit einer Reservierung um 20 Uhr gehörten wir offensichtlich zur zweiten Schicht des Abends. Der Speisesaal musste also zunächst geräumt werden. Nach 10 Minuten warten zog der Tross langsam Richtung Eingang, wo eine Kellnerin mit der Reservierungsliste wartete. Auf dem Weg dahin staute es sich natürlich im Eingang und man wurde vom Kellner mehrfach ermahnt, dass man doch bitte den Gang freihalten soll. Selten habe ich so eine idiotische Organisation erlebt. Ein einfacher Tipp für einen freien Gang: Nicht alle Reservierungen zur gleichen Zeit vergeben. Nicht ohne Grund hat sich ein zeitlich rollierendes Reservierungssystem in der Gastronomie durchgesetzt. Das würde auch die vielen schlechten Bewertungen vermeiden, in denen andere Gäste (ihrer Meinung nach) zum Ende ihrer Buchung regelrecht von den Plätzen verscheucht wurden. Zu wenig Zeit war bei uns leider nicht das Problem. Im Gegenteil. Während die Vorspeisen recht schnell gebracht wurden, standen die Hauptgerichte letztlich erst um 21:50 auf dem Tisch. Dem geneigten Leser wird jetzt auffallen, dass 1:50h eine ganz schön lange Zeit für ein paar Vorspeisen sind. So ist es auch. Den Kellnern hingegen ist dies leider nicht aufgefallen. Zwischenzeitlich wurden wir stattdessen sogar zwei mal gefragt, ob wir mit dem Essen fertig seien und unser Besteck nun abgeräumt werden könne. Selbstredend gab es später auch kein Wort der Entschuldigung ob der langen Wartezeit. Das Essen selbst war übrigens ganz lecker (Mezzes und Grillteller für 2). Man soll auch das positive sehen. Auf Grund des extrem langsamen Service und der schlechten bzw. nervigen Organisation war das für mich ein Abend zum Vergessen. Ich kann "Die Kurve" nicht weiterempfehlen.

I've gone here probably every other day for my last 4 weeks of being in Maastricht. The owner is the friendliest and sweetest man ever, his young son that helps him is a nice boy too. When you come in and order to eat in, he'll give you fruit prior to your meal. A little plate of appetizers of sorts, it's great and the fruit is always nice to eat before you fill yourself up with the heavy food you just ordered. If you like fries, falafel, chicken, meat, wraps, Greek food, Mediterranean food, fast food, delicious food that makes you question everything you knew; this is the place for you. I've tried the falafel wrap, durum wrap, donerbox, kip kapsalon, and a special chicken wrap that was made because I asked the owner to make his favorite meal. They were all soooooo good. I can't handle it and my mouth is just watering thinking about the donerbox haha. All super affordable, all super delicious. Honestly, I had the best meal experiences in this hole in the wall kebab shop due to how wonderful the service is. I'm pretty sure the shop owner is my favorite person in Maastricht.
