Great food & friendly staff. I just wanted mixed Kabab, fries & a salad, it was not on the menu. I…read moredon't speak Dutch, but I was able to make the lady understand what I wanted. The food was served quickly and was more than I could eat. With a drink it was €12 euros. Great deal on some great Kabab

I have never been a regular at a restaurant until I was introduced to this wonderful little shop. I…read morelove this place so much that I had to create a Yelp page to talk about how wonderful the food, the shop, and the owner are. I've gone here probably every other day for my last 4 weeks of being in Maastricht. The owner is the friendliest and sweetest man ever, his young son that helps him is a nice boy too. When you come in and order to eat in, he'll give you fruit prior to your meal. A little plate of appetizers of sorts, it's great and the fruit is always nice to eat before you fill yourself up with the heavy food you just ordered. If you like fries, falafel, chicken, meat, wraps, Greek food, Mediterranean food, fast food, delicious food that makes you question everything you knew; this is the place for you. I've tried the falafel wrap, durum wrap, donerbox, kip kapsalon, and a special chicken wrap that was made because I asked the owner to make his favorite meal. They were all soooooo good. I can't handle it and my mouth is just watering thinking about the donerbox haha. All super affordable, all super delicious. Honestly, I had the best meal experiences in this hole in the wall kebab shop due to how wonderful the service is. I'm pretty sure the shop owner is my favorite person in Maastricht. I highly recommend trying anything you think that sounds good on the menu, because I am 110% sure you won't regret it.

The last time we tried to eat here we were told they were fully booked and this time we saw several people turned away. This time around with a reservation, we were excited to eat here but the food felt very short of our expectations. The food was ok, there were some hits and lots of misses. Food: 3/5 We had the octopus stew and kibbeh as appetizers. The octopus was perfectly cooked, not rubbery or chewy, it was nice and tender - off to a good start! But it was bland, there was absolutely no flavor. The kibbeh was dry though the filling had good flavors and lots of potential. My husband had the lamb stew and it was just ok. If it wasn't for my main course, I would have scored this place 2 stars. I had the duck confit and it was cooked perfectly, meat was almost falling off the bone, tons of flavor, crispy skin. The roasted potatoes were delicious and the little salad balanced the fattiness. There was only 1 standout dish from 4, and with a menu that isn't very big, it seems that the odds are against you. Service: 2/5 Not much to say, standard Dutch service - slow, awkward. They also didn't really seem to know what they were doing. A large group of 15 walked in, they had reserved, and the waitstaff became extremely flustered - didn't you know they were coming? Atmosphere: 3/5 It is a very cool location and they have a beautiful table with various appetizers they assemble for your tasting platter. There is even a old CRT monitor converted into a flower pot. What I didn't like is that people would come in and just leave the door open. It is cold outside guys! The waitstaff just ignored it, so if you do not want to freeze you will have to get up and close the door each time some muppet does not close the door. Value: 2/5 At 25 euros/person for an appetizer and a main, it seemed reasonable but the portions are tiny and that didn't include drinks. We were quite hungry afterwards... I would recommend making a reservation, but with food like this, don't even bother coming. I'm not sure why it is so packed!
