The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous -- the exposed brick, huge arched doorways, original wood, warm lighting, and historic character were the perfect backdrop for the romantic, vintage-inspired wedding we envisioned. I had a pretty specific decorating vision, and it wasn't necessarily a traditional one. We used tons of ferns and greenery, brass candlesticks and candelabras, candles, vintage gold details, family photographs, and bowls of fruit as our centerpieces rather than traditional floral arrangements. I gave the team fairly detailed instructions for how I wanted everything arranged, and they absolutely exceeded my expectations. They didn't just put our decorations out -- everything felt thoughtfully styled. The little finishing touches they added made the entire space feel cohesive and intentional. We had several meetings leading up to the wedding to work through the décor and all of the smaller details, and I really appreciated how willing they were to help us create something that felt personal to us. The finished room didn't feel remotely like a cookie-cutter wedding. Even a friend of ours who works professionally in events was incredibly impressed with the aesthetic and how beautifully everything was executed. The food was AMAZING and was one of the things we heard about most from our guests afterward. Everyone raved about it. The dessert bar was fantastic, and I cannot recommend the late-night snack station enough. We did pizza, wings, and pretzels, and it was a huge hit. The drinks were great as well. I also really want to mention how well they accommodated dietary restrictions. My brother has celiac disease -- he isn't simply gluten-free by preference, and avoiding cross-contact is extremely important for him. The team was able to provide gluten-free food for him while taking his celiac disease seriously, and he was able to eat at our wedding without having any symptoms afterward. Anyone with celiac disease knows how stressful eating at a large catered event can be, so having him be able to safely enjoy dinner with everyone else meant a lot to us. Another huge bonus is the location for photography. There are so many completely different backdrops right outside the venue -- historic architecture, downtown streets and cityscapes, beautiful buildings, and green spaces. We were able to get everything from elegant architectural portraits to downtown photos to pictures surrounded by greenery without having to travel elsewhere. Most importantly, the Pearl Street team gave us the flexibility to make the wedding genuinely feel like ours. We had a somewhat unconventional aesthetic and a lot of little details that mattered to us, and they took our ideas seriously and executed them beautifully. Walking into the finished space and seeing everything together exceeded what I had pictured in my head. The venue was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and our guests had an amazing time. We would absolutely recommend Events at Pearl Street and The Webb to anyone looking for a Buffalo wedding venue with character, great food, and a team that can help bring a unique vision to life.

I was looking for the most reasonably priced option to hold a ceremony and brunch, and I got this place for a steal. Brides looking to book a wedding on a budget and that are willing to do the non-traditional thing, I highly recommend the space and doing a brunch. My guest raved about the food and I could go on forever with every detail of amazing customer service and exceptional execution of my vision. I held my entire event here for less than $2000 for 50 people that included the ceremony fee, the $50 bartender fee, the food and unlimited sodas, coffee and tea. I know prices increased since I booked but it's still an affordable option. The stone cellar was perfect and such a beautiful and intimate space for a small group of 50. Please consider this if you're looking for a smaller more affordable option. They now offer micro packages that are incredibly cheap and beautiful. The only thing I will mention is parking behind Pearl is not actually free but the venue accommodated us beyond expectation.

My family, and I, accomplished purveyors of the arts, haute cuisine, and world travelers, had found ourselves brutally insulted and our value as guests to the venue, diminished by the arrogance and classless attitude presented when we requested to be seated for dinner. By the way, the place was nowhere near capacity in reference to already seated guests... in fact, it was pretty empty. We were told it was requisite that we needed to make on-line reservations in order to be seated and served at a table... no exceptions! An empathetic waiter and waitress, overhearing our predicament, tried coming to our rescue and suggested we may consider being seated at the bar. We were told the menu was the same whether we were at the bar or a table. When this waiter and waitress kindly tried to accommodate us with the suggestion to consider sitting at the bar, the host met their eyes with a glance of total defiance. We were so uncomfortable at the prospect of continuing to manage sitting at the bar, with only one table available for four people, coupled with that the discernible feeling of not being wanted at the venue overcame us. So, we proceeded to default to one of our usual venues, where class, accommodation and elegance always reigns, that being the Richardson. We will never risk giving that host at the Terrace the opportunity to show such disrespect to us again! I had purchased one of those 7lb cans of luxardo cherries to go with cocktails for the night and of course got cherry juice on my fluffy white dress and one of the bartenders deftly and quickly saved my dress with some club soda too! Everything was beautiful and tasty and there were several compliments on the food. We already loved Joe's Deli and Buffalo Catering is even lovelier. Highly recommend you let them cater your wedding and suggest you ignore the review on here by a wedding attendee about running out of food. Running out of food is a planning mistake and not the fault of the caterer if they didn't know about the correct numbers or the family didn't take their advice and instead bought less that was suggested! Our food amounts were seemingly perfect as far as I can tell (as advised by the caterer based on our attendee numbers) and we did a grazing menu: a great variety of delicious slider sandwiches, a bruschetta bar, two orders of charcuterie, two orders of cheeses, vegetable and fruit plates, and four types of hors d'oeuvres with enough for each person to have at least 2 of each. Not bad. Just nothing special. What always stands out here is the service. Today we asked one of the servers, jeff, if the coffee was ready yet. He said no but then reappeared a couple minutes later with a fresh pot from the kitchen. He reacted the same when someone mentioned (jokingly) they wished they had a mug rather than a cup he appeared again with a mug! This while also trying to set up service for about 20 other tables. All equipment was provided for a fee, and included were sturdy disposable plates, cutlery, and napkins. The food was delicious, especially the pulled pork, and presented very nicely. We received many compliments from our guests, and my parents were thrilled. We all snacked throughout the evening, keeping the party going into the night. I would definitely use these guys again and highly recommend that you have them cater your next event.
