Ava's table works with Freedom run winery to provide food to accompany your wine selections. Earlier in the year they were only providing fish fries but now they are stepping up the game. My sandwich was outstanding as were the fish fries. The staff is friendly and the crowd is small enough so that they can offer excellent service. The view across the fields and vineyards while sitting out on the lawn is very relaxing. The Freedom Run staff also provide table service offering not only wine but also beer and flights of wine in place of tastings inside. read more

I gave 5 stars for three reasons. First: the red wine was by far the best in the region (ok, we only went to 5 wineries). Second: atmosphere during COVID-19. Great day to be outside eating a really good Monte Cristo! Third, and most importantly: the people who oversee/own the place. Clearly they were swamped beyond anything they could have planned for. Waitstaff was stressed to the point of breaking. Rude customers who think if they come, they should be served quickly... you get the pic. Quickly everything changed. A very professional man and woman came out, assessed the situation. Went to each table to defuse the anger some customers were showing. Not a fun job to say the least. This spot is peaceful, great music, and fantastic brunch. The brunch was so so so good. The food was tasty, the chicken and waffles was wonderful with homemade chicken strips instead of dark meat. The filet was wonderfully cooked. The Monte Christo was so wonderful. And the burger was good. read more

Hidden gem. Only stars 4 s this time because BOTH our lunches lacked a "main" ingredient.. the "turkey bacon panini" had no bacon BUT had a wonderful apple stuffing instead, and the walnut apple cranberry feta salad had not one walnut lol Also they were out of the 2013 resiling noted on the lunch menu ; however!..the 2016 was exceptional!!! And in all fairness, they did tell us after our meal that the lunch menu was going to be changing. All in all it was a good meal, nice service , (good view !) friendly staff and owners. Newly opened restaurant as of just a few weeks ago. Ava's table is located at Freedom Run Winery, just a short drive from Amherst and most Northtown suburbs. Had stopped at the winery earlier in the week for a wine tasting and learned of this new restaurant (it was on a day the restaurant is not open so be sure to check the schedule and in advance). Had the opportunity to meet one of the partners (Michelle) and was impressed with her enthusiasm as well as the menu offerings which prompted a return visit for dinner last night. My only disappointment is that we did not take more pictures because not only did the food taste wonderful, the presentation was great too! On that note, we also had the opportunity to meet Chef Jennifer (other partner) after our meal was over. We wish these two well because this new business is certainly one that deserves to prosper. The food was plentiful and is of exceedingly high-quality. The charcuterie platter (cheese, meats, fresh fruit) was more than enough for four people to share, and had a tremendous variety, looked beautiful, and was delicious. Quite honestly, it could serve as a whole meal for two light eaters. The salads are huge and fresh. The various entrée specials offerings for the evening were large portions of meat, pasta, vegetables and/or seafood. Again delicious! We all took home leftovers. No doubt, we will return regularly. This place offers gourmet quality food in a relaxed setting (indoors and outdoors). Rarely would I say to a business owner that their their portions were too big and prices were too low but I did this night. One word sums it up: Quality. Went for Mother's Day brunch. Was looking for something a little different than the typical brunch. Found this place online by accident. What a fantastic find. The food was excellent. The staff was very friendly. The tables were set up in the area where the wine is made so the ambiance was great. We didn't get to enjoy much of the outside scenery since it was a cold day. Would definitely like to go back! The 2017 Chardonnay was excellent as well. Website said to make reservation by email which I did. Received a response within an hour. Ava's catered my wedding which was at Freedom Run Winery. When we had our tasting for the wedding it was absolutely delicious. The food was promised to be the quality that we expected. Our wedding was delayed due to covid and when it came to the wedding day it was completely different service than we received/were promised. We were told the executive/head chef would be there, they were not. Half our guests did not eat their meals since the steaks were rare/raw and we were promised medium for every steak. There were 2 servers running food for 100 guests so sending any steaks back was not an option. By the time I finished my meal there were several tables still without food. My MIL was supposed to receive chicken for her meal, they forgot, brought her steak, and then when confronted brought her out the chicken and it was cold. We opted for jumbo shrimp and received one not so jumbo shrimp on the plate rather than the 3 that was promised. There was supposed to be a red wine reduction sauce for the steak which was not on the plate. Then when it was brought up to the caterers its like it was not their problem, wasn't all specified fully in the contract. We opted in for a champagne toast and the glasses weren't even poured until way after dinner when everyone was already up and mingling. Honestly this was very disappointing service for how much money was spent for food, especially for how well the tasting went and what we were promised. If you consider them at any cost make the contract as specific as possible to ensure you get everything that was discussed. read more

Went to wedding catered by Ava's Table catering. It was disappointing. The hors d'oeuvres table had no serving utensils. The food came out so slow and it was cold. There was a lack of wait staff for the wedding of 150. There was no professional kitchen attached to the barn for fast and hot food. Unfortunately the bridal party had to clear the tables. read more
